I would like to express my happiness to teacher Luke! You’re such a great human being, may your surroundings blessed you well. I’ve studied for the past two weeks by just watching all of your videos! (LITERALLY ALL OF THEM😋) I’ve got the 135 overall score - Literacy (140) - Comprehension (135) - Conversation (135) - Production (140) Although I was kind of scared about the scores but I guess it’s more than enought than what I’ve expected! Special thanks to you Teacher Luke, you guided us so well, specifically on the production section that people usually find kind of difficult (but I guess I managed to get a sufficient 140 score for it). I know my comment is too long, but I do hoped that people that were enrolling to this exam to be relaxed but prepared at the same time. In addition to Teacher Luke, you are a true hero for us! Keep doing this! You never know how people are so grateful for what you’ve create.

Hi, thank you for your great videos. I got my test results back in less than 30 hours and scored 140. For all of those wondering, you can practice these sentences out loud before hitting the record button (at least that's what I did and I got certified).

Hi Luke, thank you for all the videos! Is it necessary to contract? Because I thought I had to read exactly as the sentence is written, so if it is long-form, I read it in long-form and if it is in the contracted form, I read it in the contracted form. Also, I noticed in some listen and type exercises that the recording was in long-form, but you gave the answer in the contracted form or vice versa the recording was in the contracted form, but you gave the answer in long-form. So, whenever I have the chance to contract, should I contract? Thank you in advance! :D

Hey! Good question! I don't think you will lose points if it is written in its full form as long as you do include other features of English pronunciation such as intonation, stress, and correct pronunciation of the phonemes. 😃👍

Hey, I don't think it is necessary, but yes you can. However, if you don't feel comfortable doing that, just use the contractions when they are written down. 👍

Yeah it does feel awkward at first. I think the best thing to overcome this is just to practice speaking to yourself and taking the practice test a lot of times. 😀

Hi teacher Luke, From the guideline on the Duolingo website, they recommended that: "Time permitting, practice speaking the statement once out loud before recording your response." In your tips, you advise spending the first five minutes reading in silence in our head. So I have a bit confusing at this point. Will my score will be affected if I read out loud? I have paid and downloaded my English exam and passed through all the checklist items concerning sound, camra, id and have checked all terms and conditions, however once I click start it takes soo long time but exam does not start. Anyone faced the same issue. I need a solution asap.
