Love the railroads. But hated what the BMR&N did when they took over the rails north of Port Clinton, by effectively blocking access to the Schuylkill river by hammering rails upright across right of way roads. Now you have to walk 1/4 mile or more to get to the river to fish. Local Seniors we're denied easy access to places they fished for 30 + yrs. For get about disabled folks. Insurance purposes. I get it. But still shitty.

Unfortunately, events with ATVs and motorcycle riders forced the R&N to make these changes due to trespassing and vandalism. I'm sure insurance also requires the R&N to take a pro-active approach to stemming unwanted liabilities from trespassers. It's a shame, but it's the society we live in these days, as there are many who do not wish to accept accountability for their actions.

@@JPMediaRR your right it's a shame what our society has become. I grew up in the 70s. Way different times. Seems like 100 yrs. ago.
