Yes and No, if you only have a basic EOBD scanner then you won’t get any codes, however if you have a scanner with Body Control software you would get a code of B10D7 for code 11.
Mine is flashing. In the engine are a noise is a sssssssss next to the egr valve and there is a square box like plug with wiring around it. What is that noise?

Hello, I have a Ford Connect 2007 diesel (Italy), left key on accidentally for a night, battery out of charge, recharged, everything ok but ignition. the pats code you provided is 2-3 (data mismatch between PCM and instrument cluster --- requires reprogramming). I kept the battery off with + and - connected for hours but nothing. Ford does not expect to have such a situation and provide an emergency mode? I have to call a tow truck and a fortune for the repairing... Thank you for your kind attention.
Al UK cars have PATS not sure about the USA, but if it does it will have the same LED that will come on and go out if the immobiliser is working correctly
I have exactly this problem with my ford focus 2005 and took it to the dealer who said this test is not reliable, it started for them and the diagnostics test shows no faults, I told them about this video so they looked at the coil and said its ok, could it be an intermittent fail issue, or could it be something else????

I have a code 16 on a van that i need to get running for work in the morning, I am downunder in OZ so I have a 5 hours to get it running and it is 1am in the morning right now... The code indicates there may be a loose connector between the PATS system and the ECU, my question is Where is the ECU so I can check it ???
It’s not easy to bypass, if it were it wouldn’t be a very good system, but a new key can be programmed to the vehicle, but you need the correct software to do this, so normally a trip to dealer or an alarm specialist

Can you explain code 23 to me please? I don’t know what it means by PCM. I’m getting this after swapping in new instrument cluster and the car won’t start with them in.
Code is 11 is problem with the Transceiver, this is the coil of wire around the ignition switch, have a good look at the wiring and the plug, you will need to remove the cowling to see it.
Mine stays on all the time even when the car has started, my car is hard to start and cuts out after a few mins of running...2008 TDCI Focus style, any ideas ?
With the title I expected this to be much more clear on the how to read the blinking pattern. it is still guess work. Can you actually explain how you came up with 11 from this pattern?
If you look close you will see a single flash followed by a break, followed by a single flashes and a break, if it was 13 you would see a single flash followed by a break, followed by three flashes and a break hope that helps
Found someone with similar issue at bba reman com forum topic 113186-1-1 No Milage showing, took cluster out & cleaned with lube oil, put cluster back, and milage appeared, but red light still flashing 1:6 Found Fordwiki, and RU-vid, plenty hints, but none specific that I could find, tried Ford Wiki
Seems it's more to make dealers money then act as an antitheft system as most professional thieves already know how to get around it some even specialize in cars that only use fobs since they don't have to damage anything to steal the vehicle.
Dismantled the key lock, checked wiring from key under dashboard, cleaning as I went, checking for breaks/damaged wiring, checked fuses I dont have FDS2000 or any other similar tool, so now I am at a loss whats wrong.

My Dad who's not quite internet savvy has had problems with his Ford Fairlane BA G220 not starting sometimes and asked me to poke around for info. Any reply would be greatly appreciated :) thanks!
