Katie giving the Veronica Speedwell book only a 3-star rating was truly...an unexpected peril. 😭 BTW 33:13 "A Momentous Occasion" sounds like the title of a D. Raybourn book
i am also in my finals week and i couldn't be more stressed 😭 a long relaxing vlog is just what i need to destress so tysm! i can't wait to incessantly read after it's all over!!
the remnant chronicles series is my all time fav trilogy along with my ult comfort books he second one is my fav its really epic i cant wait for you to finish them and tell us what u thought
Hey Katie! If you’re looking for a good K-Drama Extrordinary Attorney Woo is wonderful. It’s a combination of law, beautiful romance, flawed characters, autism rep, and a bit of angst. The scenery and music are also phenomenal. Have a great day!
Congratulations on graduating! I am currently reading Fourth Wing and I love it so far. If you love fantasies with dragons I 100% recommend reading it. I cannot wait to see what videos you upload this summer!
“what am i gonna do when i don’t have volumes of yona of the dawn to read” that’s exactly why i’ve been taking my time reading it bc i don’t wanna be caught up yet😭 but now that i own literally every single volume i can also binge them 🤔 it’s very conflicting LOL
I promise for the Kiss of Deception series, it gets so much better. I also rated it a 3, the second book was a 4, and the third book was a 5. Stick with it, if you can. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the rest of the books
Yayy congratulations on graduating Katie!! My graduation is next week and I am so excited! I am currently reading The Watchmaker of Filigree Street and it is so beautiful I highly recommend it! xoxo
Congrats on graduating. Oh and I put on hold from my library the first 10 volumes of Yona and the Dawn. Can't wait to start it here really soon. Thanks to you and Cass I have more books to read
Congratulations on graduating! I finished my spring semester a week ago and it feels so nice to have the extra time to read and do other things that don't include studying. I am on a book buying ban until I also make a dent in my physical tbr, but want to buy A Veronica Speedwell Mystery so badly!
Another great vlog! I’m currently reading Fourth Wing, like everyone else lol, and am loving it! I know it’s next months book club pick so excited to see how you will like it. I just got to them meeting the dragons and didn’t realize how much I would love the dragons! First time reading a book with them in it, so it’s a pleasant surprise. 😊
Congrats on being done for the summer! I just finished the entire Vampire Academy series and idk what to do with myself. I started Phaedra to renter my Greek mythology era
thank you!!! i hope you enjoyed vampire academy!! a little ridiculous but super fun, you could always start the bloodlines series! it’s a spin-off series that follows adrian! i haven’t read it myself but so many people have told me that they really enjoyed it
I’m excited too because I’m out of school this Friday!! 🥳 LOVED the video as always. I’m currently reading Eragon and honestly I’m just trying to get through it. It’s pretty slow so far but hopefully it gets better! ❤
ah i hope you enjoy your break from school!!!🫶🏻🩷 and thank you so much! i’ve definitely been thinking about picking up eragon at some point myself, but that sucks that it’s been slow so far for you, i hope it picks up soon!!🐉
okay i feel the same way about tog though😳😩 some of the povs are great but there are way too many that i don’t like, wishing you luck with continuing the series!!
Hey Katie! Love your long vlogs! Hope you're have a great day! And thank you for being a comfort this year haha. about to graduate high school and I'm excited and scared at the same time 😅❤
Hey Katie! I loved this video as always ✨💙 I’m a little extra grateful to watch it because I know you were having some issues uploading it. I think setting up a new annotation key might be my favorite part of annotating, it’s just so satisfying! And of course the quote 47:12 is from Chain of Iron (love that James and Cordelia moment 🥹)
thank you so much (this video was really testing me😭🫶🏻 haha) setting up a new annotation key is also my fav part of annotating! although i also love being able to flip back through my annotations when i’ve finished a book! also you’re an icon for knowing that’s from tlh, that’s such a stunning moment i love them😭😭🩷
congrats on graduating 🎉❤ mononoke hime is my fave ghibli film because its depiction of how humanity is ruining the planet and i'm glad you enjoyed it. the scenery is stunning though and i absolutely love the story. it's one of my comfort films. also those stickers omg they feel so nostalgic! excited for your summer content ❤
thank you so much!!☺️🩷 mononoke is very high up on my list of fav ghibli movies!! it was so fantastic and i can’t wait to rewatch it! totally understand why it’s a comfort film for you!
Congrats on finishing your semester. At the moment my goal is to finish Clockwork Angel this month, and start Every Heart a Doorway series. I have Wicked Fox, Nevermoor, The Strange Case of the Alchemist's Daughter, and Alliana Girl of Dragons on my tbr that I picked up from the library. I also have Fourth Wing and The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue coming in the mail from Target. Started figuring out my tbr for the summer and putting less on my tbr to enjoy the summer. I do plan on picking up Crave next month since I have heard it compared to Twilight other then that just making a list for future plans to see my family at the end of June. Hope you enjoy your summer!
thank you!! loved being able to see all of your future reading plans, it looks like you have some good ones! fourth wing had been intriguing me recently, i hope you like it! good luck with your summer tbr!! i hope you get to some amazing books🫶🏻☺️
Currently reading Dracula Daily! Also just starting the Veronica Speedwell series and reading Death on the Nile as my Read Christie book for May. It took me a few chapters to get into A Tale of Two Cities when I read it earlier this year but by chapter five I was thoroughly hooked!
The k drama twenty one twenty five is so good! I think you’d love it. Also howls moving castle is also my favorite followed by from up on poppy hill and Kiki’s delivery service. Also every-time I watch you videos I buy new books cause you make everything sound so good!
i really need to watch from up on poppy hill, but kiki’s deliver service is so fun i see why it’s one of your top favs!! sorry to made you buy so many books haha, i hope you’re loving them though!🩷
If you like Flush, I have a few recommendations for books with animal povs. I am a Cat by Sōseki Natsume is a Japanese classic about a cat who spends all his time observing human nature. The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly by Sun-Mi Hwang is about a hen named Sprout who can no longer lay eggs on command, so she comes up with a plan to escape and go into the wild to hatch her own egg. The Wild Robot by Peter Brown is about a robot named Roz who ends up on an island, kind of becomes one with the animals on the island, and ends up adopting one of the baby animals
When I saw you packing Strange the dreamer into the book of the month box I just started laughing, cause I should've known that it was going to be packed with the utmost care and love. Also I think your review of Kiss of deception is now going to effect my reading experience, but like in a positive way, I didn't really have a lot of expectations to begin with and I only picked it up because it was the book club choice, and now my expectations are even lower so who knows maybe I'll end up liking it.
it’s what she deserves😭🩵 i was very happy to realize i had the perfect box to transport it in haha! and i’m glad i was able to help you adjust your expectations!! i hope you do end up enjoying it more
I had similar feelings about Kiss of Deception. I wanted to love it, but when it finished I kind of felt like it had only just barely started. Like the whole book should have just been condensed into a few chapters as the start of the book. It didn't feel like anything really happened until that last 50 pages.
Hey Katie have you ever tried reading any classics? I would love to see a reading vlog on that! Right now I'm reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen and it's good:) also I'm in finals as well!!
yes! i don’t read them too often, but i like to pick them up every now and then! i read great expectations earlier this year, and i read five or so last year, dracula has been my fav so far!!
@@katieisreading Ou sounds like fun, will give Dracula a try! I'm starting literature as my major, so I'm trying to read some classics for fun ☺️ (however do love a good fantasy romance book loll)
i know you’re a ghibli fan, have you read the manga series witch hat atelier? i’ve only read the first volume but it gave me major studio ghibli vibes, like kiki’s mixed with howl’s a bit.
i think i’m about 50% of the way through an impossible imposter and can absolutely agree that it’s super juicy😭 so many bombs are being dropped and i’m eating it up!! it’s sooo much better than an unexpected peril honestly
Why read A Tale of Two Cities when you can watch A Tale of Two Kitties and it’s the same vibes 😂 I’m just kidding haha but for real I hope you read Fourth Wing because it seems perfect for you and I thought it was amazing! 💖
it’s actually really funny you mention that because me and my friend watched that movie like last month😭😭 i absolutely plan on reading fourth wing very soon!! ive seen too many good things about it to not pick it up!!! so glad you enjoyed it!🩷
