I lived 20-30 miles from Jim Hall's shop in Midland Texas. Realizing that he was into Can-Am series. It is a cool museum. So many of his cars were deemed illegal because of the innovations he engineered.
Not a grocery getter. , unless you have a week to get it started and ready to drive, you never have to do any of that if you own a simple Honda or Toyota, simple waste of time and money 🥰💯💯

You can either have them built exactly the way the old cars were built or you can go the custom route and have like a 700-800hp motor in it. I don't know why but now you can even opt for a V6 that's set up similar to the new Ford GT.
Some cars are art, some cars are simply utility. This is the car that checks both of those boxes and might even give you a reason to live on a really bad day. Amazing car
I'm 70 years old and saw these cars first at Elkart Lake. The original I mean. I've given up hope of ever owning one. Or a Cobra Daytona for that matter. Enjoy
They could have had it in 65 also, if they had let Ken Miles drive. They destroyed his chances for his Triple in 66 to get a photo finish. Also, were liars or hypocrites when dealing with Ferrari. @@wozmac771 different trans the mk2 had a 4 speed mk1 had a 5 speed they wouldn't go from every car being done by nightfall to a 1 2 3 finish if ken miles were the main difference and their brakes didn't really have issues because they replaced the whole assembly as needed
@@cadenmoskol4604 Ok. makes sense about the transmission. But I still say, Ken Miles was the difference in winning vs losing. 67, Ferrari had a 1, 2, 3 wins against Ford GT 40 in Daytona 24 hour. Also, when the 7.0 engine was banned due to rules, GT 40 was dead. My point is, you take out the inventor, designer out of the team, you are dead in the water. Beebe and Ford wanted a 1 2 3 finish for marketing knowing full well that Miles was 4 laps ahead of the team and could have been the first driver to have Sebring, Daytona and Lemans, a pretty unbreakable feat.

@ant8834 depends on what u consider beautiful, is it the looks, the power, the comfort. If looks hurican looks way better, if its the speed go with bugati veron, if its the comfort then ferrari will blow this car out of the water. Ultimately ford made a fast loud shit can, its interior quality is cheap and rattling, the power is just simply not there compared to competion and dont even get me started on the comfort of this car.

Not new believe it or not they were around since the late 80s or so. You could still drive the car and turn the steering nub without the wheel but you wouldn't be doing any fast driving.

Might be a superformance. Roller continued production apparently are done to the standards to officially use the gt40 name, get a gt40/p chassis number and go on the gt40 registry.
