I love rehabbing patients, but becoming a physical therapist assistant is a bad career move. Medicare cuts, fraud, and profit-mongering are strangling therapy right now. This guy finally wised up after making all these videos and quit the profession.

@@Eagles883 therapy companies pay you less than 2 minutes for noon patient care like to document, talk to nurses,etc so if you don't want to work for free most therapists over bill Medicare for direct patient therapy time. There are also the ghost therapists who bill for a session and never see their confused patient.
Great video! I wanted to ask you I question if I may. Can Doctors of physical therapy administer injections? I want to open my own private clinic one day...(I’m barely a freshman in college)but I’m planning to become a doctor of physical therapy but I also want a beauty spa where I can inject Botox and fillers. Will I be able to do this? Any help is highly appreciated!
No, physical therapist can’t do any invasive injections like Botox. The only real invasive things a PT can do is dry needling and EMG tests that all require a special certification. If you plan on opening a clinic like that you’d have to hire a nurse practitioner and maybe some RNs to do procedures like that
PTAs have a far more in depth knowledge than when it comes to Anatomy, kinesiology, medical diseases, etc than fitness trainers. The only similarity would be just the basic anatomy clases and kinesiology prerequisite classes. But, PTAs go much more in depth in to those subjects.
