Not that big of a deal like putting it in the radiator. It'll eventually thaw, nothing really to damage in the wiper fluid system. Plus nobody is really using the wiper fluid in freezing conditions.
That Doomass that put 120v to his battery, that was 100% fake.... He was acting on the video, the extention cable is not hooked up, he faked it all and then put firecrackers under the extention cable to make it look like it was spraying fire.... You dont just spray fire out of an outlet like that, its not loaded with gas or some other accelerant, just stupid that they thought this was real...
I like that Angelina's brain is just working non stop, dropping knowledge and checking all the angles. Meanwhile Steph is clowning on people for having small batteries and bolts that aren't hard enough. Good mix of energy. Extra points for whoever sat them so thier tattoo arms would be mirrored.
This honestly might be the most fun episode yet. It pains me to say that with no Sandro, but Steph and Angela play off of each other and highten each others chaos.
@@wilsonsantiago-e3cconsidering they’re both working mechanics with Angelina being an ASE master and instructor and Steph specializing in Audi specifically? I’d say yeah, they know 💀
Angelina is really good at acronyms lmao, and the way she tried to sidestep when steph says something is "really hard" was so funny because you can see on her face she knew what she was cooking
As someone who knows very little about cars....I love this, and I love these two. I grew up in a rural area getting ripped off or talked down to by make mechanics (millennial). Recently I moved closer to the city and I've been so pleasantly surprised by all of the female mechanics and techs I've seen/interacted with. These two have hilarious energy as well.
That's nice! The good thing about female mechanics is that, given the male-dominant trade, they'll go out of their way to set customers straight. I say this as a guy, but lots of men are so insecure and fragile, and see women as competition, which is totally silly and ridiculous. When I was in the Army, we had a single female pilot/technical inspector in our unit. Everyone else were males, and they were toxic towards her for no reason. She flew better than them and also knew the Black Hawk more intimately than them. She was also a test pilot and was the most meticulous in every task. It's so good that there are more females now in male-dominated industries.
See rockauto's August 2023 newsletter from the archives (not the early edition) under the "repair mistakes and blunders section about a nissan altima. That was me...
I feel like that one was a smart troll.. there was a little cut in the video before it showed him actually vacuuming. Idiot if he actually did it. Genius if fake lol he definitely got em
Positive thing. This channel gave me the confidence to learn how to change my own cars oil a few days ago having never done it before and I absolutely nailed it. Very proud of myself. Great video as always
@kevinspacey5325 If your gay just say that, these two beautiful women are the only women that are worth "simping" over, they know cars and they are stunning, so go grab a beer and be a real man with your next reply or your just simply a closet gay!
I was thinking they looked almost like a mirror image of each other. Small differences but overall style is the same. Got the big sis/ little sis energy and look going 😂
Honestly this has to be the first +15 min video ever where I really like to listen what two women are talking about. You two are something special I must say.
Angelina really killed this one, I'm pretty sure she's great with any other co-host, but Steph is great too. You guys have done a great job finding perfect people for this channel.
I haven't laughed this hard in a very, very long time. "Little battery dude!" I now have to go check the cranking amps on my battery to see if I'm worthy
LOL Steph: "You hear that music bro? These are my people!" I'm glad we finally got these 2 together! Now if we can get one with those 2 and Sandro all together 🥰
Just an exceptional mix of chemistry! This Is just something that I didn't know I needed more of in my life! These two together are just pure comedy! Thank you real mechanics channel!
Funny story about the heater thing. We did that at one point. At one point, my family had a Volvo 240, with all the rickety "It runs but in no way could it be considered running Well", and it developed an overheat issue. I don't remember what specifically caused it, but yeah, it was a mess. Why was it such a mess? It was a mess because it was around the time I went to Prom. So we go all the way up town to pick her up, get all the way down to the venue on the opposite side of town, she says "Oops, I forgot the tickets", we go all the way BACK up north to get them, then all the way back down south to the venue.... and the whole ass time, we had to have the heater on because of the overheat issue. AND when we took her home.
In high school, a friend had an Olds 442. I remember riding around with him in the middle of summer with the heater on full blast ‘cause the car kept overheating. Good times!
At the gas stations here, they just dump washer fluid in the squigie bucket. But it's often gull of grit and dirt, so don't put that stuff in your reservoir either.
i’ve worked at a gas station before & we would fill the bucket with water then drop in a dissolving tab that turned it into glass cleaner. but we only filled the buckets as needed so they get so contaminated. but you can’t just put glass cleaner into the windshield washer fluid reservoir bc they’re not the same thing
4:00 My old car was different, since the Battery is used like an Capacitor for the Alternator it can also shut off you car mid drive (my pole was loose so that happened to me
Yup! Lots of motorcycles are like that too. If a pole gets loose or disconnected, the engine dies along with the whole electrical system! The stator doesn't keep things running like an alternator. Happened to me on a ZX-10R and had an accident due to the rear tire getting locked up.
@samuelgarrod8327 How does that make me a creep? You should be ablr to tell they were literally doing on purpose in the vid as joke. Since you wanna call people names, get reported.
Fun story about cars overheating. My first car was a 1986 Trans Am and being as it was my first car I didn't know anything about the "air dam" that they put under the radiator to help air flow to the radiator since those front bumpers have zero ventilation in them. Apparently the air dam on this car was missing when I bought it so I noticed it would get hot when I was driving down the highway at speed....... unless I was behind a big semi. For the longest time I used to just draft behind semis when I was going down the highway to keep the car cool until I eventually learned about the "air dam" and fixed the problem. 🤣
The clip regarding overheating appears to be on a diesel where they use mechanical fans instead of electronically controlled fans. So revving the engine would cool the engine down as the fan is belt driven by the crank.
I dunno bout yall, but when i need my tires to shine, i use essential oils. The lavender oil adds +3 speed to the tire, pepperment oul adds +7 cool factor, and tea tree oil adds +4 durability. If you can get your hands on some crystals, take a ruby and let it soak in some cedarwood oil and apply to the tire. Itll keep your engine oil from ever needing replacing again
And never mind the fact that the troll has the BLACK (HOT) and the GREEN (GROUND) tied directly together to the Negative of the battery, and the WHITE (NEUTRAL) going to the positive. As someone posted previously, the ONLY thing that would have happened when he plugged that in is the circuit breaker in the service panel would have instantly tripped because the HOT was shorted to GROUND. There would have been ZERO AC VOLTS being applied to the battery because there is ZERO volts between the WHITE and the GREEN. Shame on you Chicas for not knowing this was a total TROLL video! He just wanted to get on your show!
My dude tries to charge the car battery at home with an appliance cord and sets the whole shit on fire: What a missed opportunity to be playing some AC/DC's song in that clip
13:18 A good life hack for an overheating car is to roll down all your windows and turn on the heat full blast and watch the temperature gauge, works almost every time
All of the auto shop teachers that I had at RCC were amazing. Yuri in the body shop class is the single reason that I pursued a career in the industry and everyone else was super encouraging.
I'm glad someone else said it, never put straight water in your radiator or washer fluid reservoir if where you live drops below freezing, I guarantee you will not have a good time.
These two, along with Sandro (obviously) are all amazing together and have great chemistry. I hope to see them all working on some sort of project soon. I’d love to see them all actually working on cars. I’m sure the jokes won’t stop!
12:08 he is talking about a Freightliner Cascadia with DD15 that has a engine driven fan with an electric clutch. The fan engages at 220, reving up the engine spins the fan faster.
1: Connect vacuum hose to throttle body. 2: Cut the video 3: Splice in vid of you vacuuming interior with same hose but connected to actual vacuum 4: Profit (in useless meme dollars)
Bingo and simply pushing hand on throttle to rev engine.. Act 1 First clip guys 1. shows video of two wires from a home style cord 2.says hes going to plug it in 3. Drops camera adds electricity sound 4.camera comes into view where you see flames coming from a (cord) 5. Which is actually a propane hose going to a fake adapter plug 6 facts house's breaker switch would trip instantly, electricity wouldn't throw flames at 120v starting to think tik tok is full of fake people
Seen a comment that said one of the comments wS a bot making same comments.. Are most of the comments and conversations actually ai bot running a conversation simulators be it solicited or unsolicited I like the channel but how much of this is actually genuine
12:11 He's actually not wrong. He's driving a commercial tractor (Freightliner Cascadia) trailer combination, and he probably did some hill or mountain climbing under a heavy load, and his coolant gauge was probably red lining. So he either pulled off into a rest area or the side of the highway to allow the coolant to circulate around the motor to cool it down. Revving the motor with the fan blowing does actually help speed up the cooling process because you're pulling a lot of air through the fins of the radiator and circulating the system. I personally would also open up the hood so the heat in the engine compartment can escape and speed up the cool down process. It does work on semi trucks.
If you are overheating and running the engine, keep the hood down. Today's engine compartment is designed to pull the fresh air through the radiator with the hood down. If you lift the hood, you mess it up two ways. 1.) You disrupt the flow of air by allowing the fan to pull air from the top and sides instead of the front (through the radiator), decreasing the air flow and cooling ability through the radiator. 2.) Any air going through the radiator is being mixed with the hotter air from the engine compartment instead of the ambient temperature of the outside air.
