Pot? Not really my thing, however have drank plenty, almost killed me. Now would I rather head out on a Friday night knowing perhaps half the drivers are drunk or half are stoned ( the ones in the far right lane going the speed limit always signaling). I would choose the Pot smokers. Would be a far more mellow country.

been waiting for this for ever

Bill, hope you enjoy my pot experience story from way down South. Back in 1972, I was arrested for having $5.00 worth of pot, a roach clip & a leaf from 1 seed of said pot growing in a glass. I lost my job, had to go into a pre-trial intervention project for 6 months that included seeing a psychologist once a week. At the end of it, I was questioned by a team of prosecutors as to my opinion of this process. I said, "I don't think you'll ever stop drug use & I want my roach clip back." I was threatened with standing trial for this felony & risked imprisonment if found quilty. Now in 2018, I still have an "arrested but not convicted of drug possession" on my record. Puff away, Bill, for me!

"States rights is an excuse for taking away rights." I don't really agree with this because without state rights you wouldn't have weed legal in the states that do.

I myself am a 54 year old Canadian who is looking forward to seeing our prime minister legalize pot here on a national level as he promised during his election campaign. The cops here are already tolerant to a certain extent but having weed legal will enable them to focus on real crimes by real criminals and take away the paranoid part of the buzz i get when i want to smoke a joint in my car.
