I just presented the GRE I was so nervous I even forgot basic stuff like prime numbrers. I scored 298. So I'll have to retake it. So, thanks for this content.
Hey philip you are probably the best gre tutor i have ever came across, your video gives me motivation as i have my gre in end of November and just a small request can you please do a video for RC’s about how to read and get every bit of it and how to answer specific question types it would be much of a help to me because i am a bit struggling with RC’s . Thanks for motivating all GRE aspirants and take care in this tough time.
I read through the GRE Math Review from ETS, watched all of the Magoosh math review videos and took notes, watched all of Gregmat's verbal videos, made a vocabulary spreadsheet of the highest frequency words and have about 400 down. Have one more month left before I take it. Was kinda stuck on what to do next as I saw so many people on reddit suggest the Manhattan 5lb book but I found those too easy? Glad I found this video, seems obvious that I should be doing as much ETS stuff as I can!
Thanks Philip for the clear and concise study plan. I took the GRE today and the unofficial score is V:154 and Q:161. Quite disappointed, really. I had roughly 1.5 months to prepare while working full time , and I used your videos to recap quant concepts and strengthen my vocabulary. I was doing rather well on the PowerPrep practice tests, scoring between 322-326 but was quite disappointed with the actual GRE. My first verbal section was certainly more difficult than I expected (and had practiced). I am contemplating to retake the test in a few weeks and this video came in handy.
Hi @Nishh97. Same, I took the GRE yesterday and my verbal score dropped to 155. I found the first section hard too. Planning to take the exam in the next few weeks. Do you mind if we connect once?
This video would help everyone. also, it's good start who are still thinking how to start GRE/GMAT study. All efforts behind designing this helpful video are really appreciable. Great Video 👍
Thanks for all the great videos! I ended up scoring a 164 on Quant and 163 on Verbal 😊 Didn't get that "perfect 340" but I'm pretty happy with my scores.
@@bryansauceda4398 I used this channel mainly for quant concepts. I also used the Manhatten 5 lb GRE book for practice tests, and then I used the free flashcards on Magoosh's website for verbal stuff.
@@maggiejay786 is the Manhattan Practice tests enough practice for the actual GRE like I was thinking about buying the 6 tests since i have almost more than a week left for my GRE
Hi Philip, thanks a lot for the videos. For better reference purpose, could you please give the amazon/appropriate links of the resources in the description box? Thanks!
Hey philip, since the difficulty in quants has increased so much in gre. Could you please make a video on what kind of concepts and questions ets is testing currently??? Like ppl are telling that arithmetic and geometric progression are being tested. So pls tell me about those additional concepts and topics
Hi, I did terribly poor on the verbal section. I thought i actually learn a decent amount of words. However, i was relying more on the meaning of the word rather than the content. I watched greg mat and how he uses "specific" techniques to tackle the questions. I also read other second-party GRE books that discussed the verbal section as "cheat codes", where it wasn't really much about the word but of how you can use problem solving and match the context with the words. Can you give me advice for this ? Is it possible to actually learn 500+, and if not then what should i focus for both SE and RC. p.s . One thing i could've done better is to take more practice test, and master my timing. It definitely hit me when i took the actual GRE i had about 2 minutes left with 10 problems remaining.
Hi Philip i would be grateful if I could connect with u through email. I really need ur help. I have attempted gre twice but have failed to reach the targeted score. Request you to plz connect @TheTestedTutor
