Being from Ireland and living and working in UK, Ireland is more expensive than UK to be honest that's why Ireland has a higher wage especially when you live in big cities like Dublin, Cork, Galway etc.
Watching this I was reminded of tea breaks! It was mad. People going down for a break an hour after getting in. Lunch at noon. Another break at 3pm. Home at 4:30pm. I'm in the US now. Lucky to get a lunch break most days.
Good for you girl . Enjoy yourself in Ireland . You better treat her right . Remember you Irish people like myself go to America and everywhere else in the world they sure like to be treated right too all the best. Slan leat.
All the people commenting the hate aren't Irish. The Irish know the struggles their ancestors went through when they were scattered across the globe: they remember the signs in England that read "No blacks, no dogs, no Irish". What you have here in the comments are west brits. Blue shirts that unfortunately were born on this island, but will never be Irish. You keep doing your thing, I hope you have a long, and enjoyable time in ireland ☘️
@@globohobo I live in West London mate. Hardly close minded. But if everything becomes multicultural then there'll be nowhere to visit that's any different to where we've left. Nothing will have culture or tradition. Therefore nothing will be of value. That's not close minded...that's open-minded.
@@jogon7914 That is the way the world is moving whether people like it or not. It has been so for centuries ( Romans, Persians, Greeks, Portuguese, Spanish... and so on ), and nowadays services, food, goods, and even people are the same all over the world. Doesn't matter if it is "blacks and browns"( to me it is close minded to refer to people in such minimalistic terms, anyway ), it is the direction society is going towards. And frankly, having lived in London for 12 years, I think multiculturalism has greatly enhanced London on the international stage ( foreign cuisine, cultural activities and events, language exchanges... ). People have always moved all across the globe, and I don't see where the problem is if they are from another background... Maybe it would be a problem for Spanish people to accept mass immigration from Britain in the Costa Del Sol for example...
Tea break lol 😂 I can imagine it because Nigerias don’t do that 🤣🤣 nice one darling. Ireland has a lot of benefits oh I think is the same thing here in Italy the vacation days. Lol 9 months 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love your video's, very well spoken and it's really nice to hear about your insight of the country as a foreigner 😊 So positive keep up the good work ❤
My favorite part is being considerate. That is more than important for a family person who wants to balance btw working and family life. Finland has almost all the features you mentioned. Great job dear.
So happy your experience is so positive. Delighted to have so many amazing people from across the world making our country a more interesting and inclusive place to live.
@@maralphayer501 increased competition at the bottom only leads to people forever working on wages that will not increase.....only big business benefits
Am house help in Qatar. And my boss is Irish and goodness am in love with this family. Now I understand why they treat me this well. It's coz it's inborn😁😁. Am planning to follow them to Ireland
Just ignore the trolls below. They don't represent us. I'm very happy you are having a good experience in our country with the normal Irish people and you are welcome here ❤️ I wish someone would invent a troll filter 😂 They just try to spoil everything
@distantvoices imo 0% for immigrants. It should belong to the irish. Doesn't mean we can't have tourists who heed our ways. but the actual belonging should be for the irish people.
You can not forfeit your holiday. Not taken Holliday's actually show up as a liability on the accounts, same as an unpaid invoice so accoutants will pester employers to get employees to take holidays.
Yes dear there is nothing like taking a break off work or anything you possibly can and just relax and all by yourself and refresh your brain! Keep up the good work and more grease to your elbows👍
Irish people are the friendliest Irish are hard workers We are also welcoming to all sorts of peoples I hope people who come to Ireland respect Irish people and their generous demeanour.
Please don't use the four-leaf clover as a symbol of Ireland. It's an ignorant American habit that annoys many Irish people. Please use the three-leaf shamrock. The shamrock has been precious to Ireland from Celtic times, the number 3 was sacred to the Celts. Also, partly because of its connection with St. Patrick but mostly because it's a symbol of, hard won, Irish freedom, the shamrock became important. Irish rebels, fighting the English, wore shamrock to identify each other. The English banned shamrock, you could get hanged for wearing it. The four-leaf clover started being used by Americans because it is a symbol of 'luck' and they also connect luck with Ireland. They've heard the expression 'the luck of the Irish' and also their favourite breakfast cereal, Lucky Charms, features an Irish leprechaun. The Americans don't mean any harm but their brash ignorance does tend to stamp all over the culture of other countries.
You sound like your very happy. I love when people decide to take bold moves to different places they are not familiar with. I know its a scary and risky thing but that is what makes like wonderful.
You have really become accustomed to Ireland 😀 i.e. use of the word 'grand' 😂😂😂😂. I'm 3 months into Ireland and one thing I agree Irish people are too friendly and tea breaks are too long 😂😂😂
@@SB-uk5wx another self hating Irish person. I'm sure that the person making the comment is due to the fact that the vast majority of Africans in Ireland are economic migrants which the Irish people pay for.
Freedom of speak is most important especially coming from Nigeria as most Nigerians stress. I am glad to hear you have settled here we need beautifully minded people like you. Fáilte i gcónaí 🍀❤
I like the tea break although I don't like going because am not the tea person, I make sure I finish what I have for day. Irish people are friendly too, they take life easy
I live and work in Ireland and there ain't no breaks in my place and you're expected to work damn hard. Your job sounds awesome! I do of course get my annual leave though which is great
spend 4 years live in Lagos, your accent make me remember all the lovely people there! will start a new work later this year in Dublin , hope can meet you on the street someday!
Things are quiet different here...at times I wonder why people are wasting their lives back there in Africa for nothing, there's nothing back there men!!!come over here and c the real green fields. I'll compliment you my sis-you are beautiful, beautiful eyes, lips and voice
Love the intro and I can see you are still rocking your cornrows 😊Why don’t you pay council taxes?🤔Forfeit holiday ke?😂 Maternity leave is 1 yr in U.K. which 9 months is paid. The higher salary is not for all professions though as some professions have higher pay in the U.K compared to Ireland.
Welcome to Ireland i hope you enjoy living in ireland only the public services stay away from work when sick eyeryone else just gets on with it by the way it’s a three leaf shamrock not a four leaf clover
I'm glad you love living in Ireland. The Irish are very welcoming and in fact 90% of black people in Ireland come from your country Nigeria. However, Nigeria is not very welcoming of the Irish or other foreigners. Nigerian laws actually discourage foreigners from investing or working there even though the country needs their investment and expertise. Not that anyone would really want to live in Nigeria? Nigerians themselves want to leave their own country. I think that you are lucky to work and earn a decent living in Ireland and hope you can portray a positive image of your people, because all we see are negative images of Nigerian scammers and fraudsters who don't deserve the welcome and hospitality Ireland gives foreigners.
@@rojiblanco299 Because salaries for most expatriates from developed countries working in Nigeria are tax free and higher than wages in their own countries.
@@RA-ms3je The people may be friendly and accommodating but your government and its policies are not. If the Irish Government adopted the same policies, Nigerians wouldn't be able to get visas to work and live in Ireland.
I kinda find that I work the same way where I don't really bother with break. It's only like 15 minutes for me but I just find it unnecessary. Although I also hate putting people out so part of it is also that I know that the 15 minutes I'm gone, everyone else is under pressure to cover for me.which also extends into lunch- I'll usually only cover about 30-40 minutes of the hour.
No council tax hmm, maybe i need to go live in Ireland:) You guys are not part of the brexit right, otherwise i cant move in. Kidding, i have been to Ireland and its a great country and nice people. Love from Amsterdam.
Hi Chinyere. Good morning. I am your colleague by profession, a Diagnostic Radiographer from Nigeria, though am linsenced with HCPC United kingdom, but with no Irish linsence. I am planning to visit Ireland during this summer and probably see if I could do my linsence in the country. Honestly I love the country from what I have researched on. Please is it possible for me to move to the UK from there on a visit.
uchechi mathew Hi dear,no it’s not. It’s an entirely different country with a different licensing process which you need to go through before applying to get a job.Hope this helps.cheers
It's really cool that you don't pay water bills, we also get 30 days vacation fully paid here in Belgium. They are very considerate indeed, maternity leave here is 3 months. Ireland must be a very nice country to work in👍
@@Everlycece every place has fools like below but they blame others for their own weakness . Would they go to Nigeria learn the language culture .? No they can't even survive here . Weakness . We need more like you . Listen to the work ethic . 👌👌👌👌👌
That intro was lovely. Also the whole production, your outfit, makeup and background was on point! That color really suits you! I think you are my go-to vlogger about Ireland now.
But. . . after paying rent and living expenses, what happens? My rent here is even more than the rent for my family house back home. Yes, I am able to save a lot but, lol
As an american i feel its impossible to work and live in ireland. I'm over 30 so i cant get a student visa, and nearly every job i can get is ineligible for a work permit, iv'e been trying for over a year. Its literally impossible.
Hi Chichi. Thank you for your update. I need guide on relocation with a spouse. Can my dependent work in Ireland? What about relocation with a child of 15. Thank you
Hello, someone help me here, I applied for livein caregiver in Ireland online, I received a written invitation, am supposed to either process all the documents by myself or pay 28.30 euros for the agency to help me, Is this legit?
