Very good points Leah. I think one other thing that can ruin a RU-vidr's relationship is time spent working on and with RU-vid. I know RU-vid can be a time consuming thing. I think some RU-vidrs become obsessed with it or rely on it so much for income. It is like they are married to RU-vid instead of their partner. I think you and Gary seem to balance out the time between RU-vid and your family life very well. Sometimes I see RU-vidrs literally ignoring their partners or always shoving the camera in their face. As long as you don't let it intrude on and take over your family/personal life it can be a good thing. Leah I adore your channel and family and your channel. I think one of the dangers for some couples on RU-vid is that it can be a little like being on a ‘ TV reality show.’ It can take away the naturalness of just being ourselves. Some couples can feel a need for ‘validation’ from social media. It’s a bit of a trade off between family privacy and having a small income. The upside is that their is a lot that can be shared that people enjoy. At the end of the day I think it’s a personal decision between a couple. Love to you, Gary and family. 🙏❤️

The western world is so different compared to the life in the phillipines. Its nearly all about money and status. I considered having a YT channel for awhile but for me, I quickly realized that I was in competition (so to speak) with a dozen or two dozen OTHER YTubers doing VERY similar content. I'm 70 now, I have multiple interests, and having a YT channel would require, as best as I could figure, something like at least 10-20 hours a week of time spent shooting the vid, editing, yadda yadda. The payoff was uncertain, but also, I like my friends too much to risk being one of the more obnoxious YTubers (not implicating YOU as such a person). So...pass. Moreover, now with other YTubers suing their fellow YTubers for their content in the Philippines (Tim K, Regular Guy, maybe others), the risks are higher. I occasionally enjoy your content; you seem like a sweet mother and wife PLUS you're stunningly gorgeous, as well. Good luck with your channel!

Yes it can and definitely is something that needs to be discussed and boundaries set. If it becomes a job instead of just something to pass time and she starts to neglect everything else, sells her integrity and starts wearing tight skimpy clothes and talking about sexual topics because the channels not growing fast enough, put MY private life on it, of course she'll get attention from others but interacting with those people would be the downfall, keeps secrets (Shows she knows what she's doing is wrong), brings the negativity of the channel into the house and taking away the PEACE, then it has crossed the line for me and there is no going back, and it would either be RU-vid or me. As far as the money, it's HER channel (Leaving MY private life off of it), it is HER money that she earned and it is hers to do with it as she pleases. Your friend sounds like a western woman and will only get you in trouble if you listen to her, that's what foreigners want to get AWAY from. (1 Corinthians 11:3, But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband...). i think its troubling when people "blame" social media for the problems they have in their relationship. whenever i hear people give examples of social media ruining it, its all because of problems in the relationship already and insecurities. but it seems to be the go to thing to say in christian circles as a way to not take responsibility for your own shortcomings.

I think it's great that the two of you are open with each other, and Gary knows about what is happening. I appreciate Leah a lot, but to be honest I'm not sure if I would be comfortable to have a partner who exposes herself the way Leah does, because I'd be afraid that it would constantly interfere with our life, introduce all sorts of problems regularly, and I'd prefer to live in a peaceful and private way. I can also imagine that a lot of younger males try to flirt with Leah, but it's important to realize that plenty of people are not what they seem to be, especially these days, and especially from younger generations. It's easy to end up opening a can of worms. Lastly, I think it's unfair that negative comments disproportionally target the male. Yes, Leah is a young and attractive woman, but where are the comments about Gary deserving an educated woman with life experience, who speaks great English and could be a true partner for him, or, more to the point, a woman who doesn't expose herself on social media constantly? I don't mean to be mean, I just think it's obvious that there could be an equally (un)reasonable ground for comments like these as well. And I think the complete lack of them shows just how superficial our society is. It's trying to convince women to build everything they do on their youth and looks, because it makes them incredibly "valuable"... But, then eight-ten years later what do they have?
