The Subaru WRX is a really cool car built with great quality.. That is awesome you have both cars to compare. Apparently the Type - S is a fun creating machine. Yo, that WRX shift knob reminds me of my Grandma's remote control for her TV from 40 years ago! That would be my first $200 upgrade! 😅

The only thing I disagree with that you said in this video is that the WRX isn't good looking I actually think it's a very good looking car especially yours in that white I like it more than the Type R and Type S the interior looks more premium in the WRX and it has great tuning potential and one of the best AWD systems like you touched on in the video I vote Subaru over all the other competitors plus no markup.
I just picked up the 2023 WRX. White no sunroof. The thing that did it for me was the handling with the AWD. The way it hits the curves at higher speeds was much better. I live in the upper midwest and the snow can get a bit crazy up here. The AWD is a must. The price was also a big factor.
I think the Type R looks the best followed by the Type S and The Gr Corolla then the WRX but I think the best car to get out of all of them is the WRX based on all the things you highlighted in this video great job RCF
The Type S for us older guys but the front end of the R looks dope. The WRX I might buy out of the 3 cause of its AWD and I might need to climbs those steep hills in the winter.... lol

Nice vid and appreciate the honest feedback! Prior gen WRX owner (2017), how is the shifter/shifting comparison? Honda and Acura make very good transmissions with good shifting feel while the Subaru shifter on mine is hyper sloppy. Any thoughts on this? Subbed
Thanks for the sub I appreciate you being a part of the channel. To answer your question I've had a 2019 STI and a 2021 STI and I feel like this 2023 WRX has a better shifter and driving feel than both of those cars, this is literally one of my favorite driving cars of all time.

I own the 2023 WRX premium. If you upgrade to BilletWorks Short shift kit, you will feel a big diff. Its notchy and crisp and much shorter throws. Love it❤
You should have Subaru logos that light up on the mirrors at night when you first exit the vehicle. Also, the windshield wiper blades have a defrost feature or an electric strip on the bottom edge of the front windshield.
I don't trust the FA24 engine, especially boosted above stock power. The Type R/S have the k20C series engines which have been proven to be robust. That, along with a superior manual gear box is more than enough for me to choose the Type R/S over a WRX or even an older STi.
I agree with you when talking about the older EJ motors and the last gen FA motors but this new WRX engine has shown itself to be really reliable and robust, and I really enjoy the gearbox in the WRX almost as much as the Type R and Type S.
@@RaceCarFriends The FA24 has been proven to make 500+hp on a stock block. Subaru uses boosted FA24s in almost their entire lineup with no issues. The K20C, while technically a K-series, is nothing like the k20s of old. Almost no parts from a k20z3 for example will work on a k20c1. Personally, I think the lower boost psi of the subaru will mean it is a much more reliable motor than the honda. Honda might be reliable, but they still follow the same basic laws of physics everyone else does, and 12.5 psi is much less stress than 23+ on the CTR.
Stock exhaust winner is the Subaru. They're both way too quiet though. I don't think I'll ever have a better sounding stock exhaust than what I've got.
Think you mean a 320 mile range with the WRX, not 420. I average around 22.5 or so around town but even still when I fill up it says she’s got about 320 miles to go till empty.
Nice cars, but there are better choices in this price range. Immediately coming to mind are the Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce, LT1 Camaro, Toyota Supra and Cadillac CT4V. There are others as well. Of course the base model wrx is $7,000 cheaper than the limited. You can buy a few aftermarket add ons for the difference and now it becomes a new ball game.

I have two cars, the first is a 2019 Honda Accord lx 1.5T my daily car and the second is ep3 type r 2003 Do you advise me to sell the two cars and buy new wrx 2023 premium edition manual It will be my primary car.. I have never used a Subaru or a four-wheel drive car in my life. Is it as reliable as a Honda?
Hi I'm not sure if it's as reliable as a Honda but if you're going to keep it stock or do light modifications like stage 1 tune, intake, exhaust etc. you're not going to have any issues in my opinion, just do your oil changes on time and you should be fine.
Lol aww man you must not have been on the channel for a while, I traded in the STI for a Toyota Tacoma about a year ago and then traded in the Tacoma for the WRX Limited. The Camaro is gone too lol.
The two reasons why wrx is better is awd and it has 5 seats.. typeR better every other way.. I’d get Elantra N over wrx as it’s basically a type R with 5 seats.. unless you live in snow don’t need awd.. both type r and Elantra N will shake off a wrx on track and for acceleration
