Looks like a game that scratches the same itch as ultrakill while having ideas and a visual style all its own. Can't wait to get my hands on it.

the arm mechanics and revolver from ultrakill the grapple super shotgun from doom the machinegun and dual wielding from dusk this game is truly destined to be great also, why do the enemies make the yeet sound effect

does anyone realize how beautiful this is? Like, the whole idea? This is very much inspired by Ultrakill and some Dusk, and those are inspired by movement shooters, retro boomer shooters and devil may cry this is peak human development and its how games were supposed to evolve. Someone starts something, and then its just rooting out of it and no hate towards it, its just a magnificient inspiration, yet original and unique thing

I'll be honest, as much as I like boomer shooter like games and really appreciate small indie titles, this game looks waaay too derivative of Ultrakill and Doom Eternal, to the point that feels like a copycat in certain instances. It doesn't seem bad in the gameplay, just lacking in originality or standing out differently.

Originality so far is slightly lacking, I will agree, however, that's because the originality is the mix itself. If this comes out well, it will be the only full game you can play that is Doom Eternal and Ultrakill's beautiful baby. You can play each individually, but only this mixes them however i still agree it does copy many concepts, which is not bad, its just slightly dissapointing. Having 2 revolvers, 2 shotguns, one of them shooting a grenade, and then a shotgun with a hook... It's great mixing em, but it's nice to go "ooooooooooh this is soooo original!"

@@tafu4049 personally what feels the most copycat for me are the animations and the character movement, is literally Ultrakill 60% of the time. I think that just having different animations would make this game stand out so much more

I tried the demo...it honestly doesn't feel too good. Mostly because the visual and audio cues aren't nearly as clean as Ultrakill's. Maybe I'm just bad, but it honestly feels like not only does everything kill you really really fast, but also with no real warning or clear indication of what's killing you.
