Dude, it's an understatement to say how much of a big help you've been to me. My 2001 KX250 had a bad crank failure 2 months ago. And thanks to your spitfire series. I have gone through my entire engine, and im almost completed. Thank you for your dedication to these high-quality videos! You've definitely earned my lifelong support

My 2005 kx clutch seems to be getting harder to pull now for some reason! I rebuilt the bike following your 6 part series last year, first time i have ever done a full rebuild and its still ripping. Thank you.

Right on, thats awesome you did the full rebuild dude! To be honest, I had the same issue with my 2007 KX250 clutch pull. It was wicked hard! No matter how I routed the cable, same issue, didn't make it easier. Simple fix is making sure the cable is well lubed, it helps a little bit. But if you're still not happy, perhaps try a different clutch perch like a works connection

Change your clutch cable. I replaced my clutch cable a few years ago and lubed the shit out of it. Last year I noticed it was crazy hard to pull. Hard enough I noticed fatigue during a race. So this spring I replaced it with a OEM clutch cable and problem is solved. Smooth as butter. Crazy part is my 2004 crf450 (I’ve been the only owner) still has crazy easy clutch pull and I’ve never done anything to it, including lubing the cable.

Ha. Fk that idler gear. It’s not giving me the room to slip on the outer basket. Figured that was my issue. But it’s nice to have videos like this to show me I was on the right track. I never even seen any colors on the outside of the frictions plates.. they’re soaking in oil now, so, I’ll be checking that.

Haha! See if you can rotate the whole assembly together (clutch, idler, kickstart, primary, etc) and hopefully it'll find a happy place where the basket can slide out!
