Did a generic comment on your previous, but glad you found the answer. I didn’t look at this one, but we do put our instructions in the description on most of our videos. If it was an early one, we may have missed it, but I try to always list the times. It is one of our biggest question on almost any cook. Cheers!
Thanks! We appreciate that! We try to show different meats on different grills to show how to get similar outcomes! Thanks for watching! We are running a 5000 sub giveaway, check out the video and leave a comment for a chance to wing some great prizes! Cheers!
I had to watch again to see that squirrel, they typically are at our bird feeders! Lucky for the squirrels my wife would not be happy with me if I started getting them for dinner! LOL Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I saw you did a rotisserie turkey and I will be checking that out soon! Cheers Dave!
Have you ever had burn back in your 590? I had it happen tonight. I was cooking at 350 and dropped it to 200 and when it got to 250 smoke started coming out the hopper. I called support and they said clean everything out and make sure vents are cleaned. Just wanted to see if you ever had it happen
Not sure if I understand correctly? Do you mean burning back to the hopper of pellets? I did have the explosion of smoke one time early on, I also turned the grill down and heavy smoke started coming out of the grill. I saw this and luckily it ignited and the flash opened the grill as I was on my way out to lift the lid. Glad that didn’t happen when I was trying to open the grill! I started making sure the fire pot is always clean every 2 or 3 cooks. I also turn the grill down a little slower. Not sure that helps, but I think the flame went out and it kept dumping pellets and the smoldering smoke is what exploded once it lit. If you are asking about burn back into the hopper, I did not have that happen, I have seen some smoke come out, but never too much or had the pellets burn in the hopper. Hope that answers, if not, let me know? Cheers!
@@beers-jackofbbq that’s basically what I was asking. If the pellets started burning back up in the auger towards the hopper. What made your smoker have that explosion of smoke? I’m starting to wonder if pellet cooking is the best 😂. Being disabled I really wanted something that was easy to use without much trouble
@@easybackyardbbq I would have to blame user error and not know enough about my grill. Initially I used to start the grill with the lid closed, I now start it with the lid open and once I see good smoke, I close the lid and let it get to temperature. I think my fire pot was too dirty and when it was coming down in temp, the fire went out and it kept bringing pellets in. That is when the smoldering started and the heavy smoke, once it let the gases from the smoke ignited. Since that time and what I learned, it has not happened again and runs smoothly! I now often make sure my fire pot is pretty clean when I start the grill. Hope that helps!
Thanks! Yes, these are one of my favorites and I stocked up this past weekend so I can have these throughout the year! I cooked a bunch of them and vacuum seal/freeze individual chops for weeknight meals. Cheers!
That did look perfect! I can’t get the aroma today must be raining 🌧 up your way. Raindrops drowning out the smells. But I smell turkey cooking 🧑🍳 today!!
Thanks Scott! Yes, I have done these lots a ways on lots of grills and they are always great! One of my favorite things to cook! Maybe its because we can only get them for a limited time? Cheers!
Really nice slab of pork! I love the color on it and cooked through perfect Craig! Awesome job as I was brother, I hope you and Jack had a great Thanksgiving! Cheers! 🍻
Thanks for watching! This took a little more then 2 hours. I have seen them between 1:45 to 2:30, but seem to average just over 2. Hope that helps! Cheers!
