I followed your beef ribs “step by step”, I also have the Rec Tech 700, I cooked for 14 people and it was a total success. They loved ‘EM. Thanks my man!!!!!

Awesome cook Daryl!! I enjoy all your videos... keep up the great work. I learn sooo much from you, Daddy cooks, T-Roy cooks, Rus Jones, Ray Mack, Justin from Baby Back Maniac, James from Aim’em and Claim’em, Malcom Reed...just to name a few of the greats. Have you tried at a lower temperature to try to get more smoke flavor? What pellets did you use? New at pellet smokers. Thanks.

Great video and review Daryl. I get the same quality Beef Ribs around here in N.C. That is why I don't cook many. I wish I could get some of those Brontosaurus Ribs that they can get in Texas!! Thanks for sharing this!

Maybe the Crown Royal Salted Caramel will make the coffee espresso ribs better! Or the oil from your table! Great review!!

Do you feel like the Rec Tec produces enough smoke. I just order the stampede for smaller cooks. Due to the Yoder being so heavy. I’m asking bc I noticed the pellet maze in the back of the grill

It gives decent smoke when you cook below 250 degrees, but when I want a more intense smoke flavor I add a smoking tube or device. The pellets make a big difference also, for example, from my experience Lumberjack Pellets give more smoke flavor than the Rec Tec Pellets.

Bad Beast Barbecue I use those lumberjack. But switching to B&B, really decent pellets great smoke and the best bang for your buck. They have them at academy sports. Do you like the extreme smoke setting?

Heffer dust must be good. You wasted no time getting back at it there at the end. Quick question, would you have been able to do this cook on the mini? Just wondering if both slabs of ribs would fit. On a side note do you still have your electric smoker? Thanks

James, both slabs would not fit on the mini unless you use some type of rack, then they still might be too big. I still have my old Masterbuilt electric smoker. Just haven't used it in a while. Thanks for watching...

That cooker looks nice in the black. Beef ribs are great but I’m always amazed how much they shrink up. Great feedback on the rubs.

My intentions were to add some extra smoke flavor with it, it's a pellet tray where you light one end and it smokes during the cook, however I changed my mind and did not light it and forgot to remove it from the smoker before shooting the video.

It does provide some smoke flavor but not as much and not as intense as a stick burner or a smoker that uses charcoal and wood chunks does. This Rec Tec smoker, the RT-680 does have an extreme smoke function/button you can turn on when cooking at temps of 250 degrees and below that adds extra smoke.

But, that's the nature of beef ribs. Since your ribeye steaks and prime ribs are cut from these ribs there isn't much meat on the top of the rib bones, but the meat that is in between is were its at! It's like burnt ends on a sitck! You smoke these low and slow.

@@biggdaddy202003 Back ribs are not the same as plate ribs. Back ribs have the meat between the bone, plate has the meet on the bone. Both have their own pros and cons

@@Brandon-bm6he I am aware trust me. As a cook at a resort you deal with lots of ingredients on a regular. Some are great looking and tasting others have some issues but you make it work, Those ribs were mostly bone because that was what they got from the producer. I never said they were the same as other ribs I just pointed out that fact. But thanks for the info though. I am sure someone will find it helpful.

It’s impossible to find good beef ribs here. They look like scrap bones the butcher used to give you for your dog to knaw on .
