Hello thanks for covering our event! Want to make a small correction for the event. We were using tournament quests and could not figure out how to update these in the BCP app. Because of this, the Hunters and Ironjawz players were tied in points before quests. However, due to the Ironjawz successfully completing 4 quests they ended up taking 2nd place. I have reached out to BCP to see if they can add in a tournament Quest function but no real information back from them. Anyways wanted to just clarify that, thanks again for covering the event! Look forward to hosting more events in the next few months!
Gloryseekers with shields seem better than paired weapons. You gonna do counter with them mostly, so the +1 thoughness worth more than the +1 attack on them.
Scions are always fun to see, or Jade Obelisk just for the aesthetic, they gave some nice models too. Skaven is also always a solid pick, especially if you start with the plague monk box. If i had to pick ONE for the vote? Skaven. So many fun options with weapon teams.
The Bloodreaver list looks fun. I might try a Skaven list with 12 clanrats and a Grey Seer / Skabbik etc. Extra mobility, toughness, and two inches of range!
Hope to see some Ironjawz brewing in the future. The recent list with Megaboss (+1 attack), Boltboy boss and Gore Choppa (then Ardboyz) is pretty interesting
REALLY cool to see my FLGS mentioned in the video. Odin’s is an awesome store for miniature gaming. Thank you Salty Sea for doing such comprehensive coverage of Warcry!
Very brave to put your Adepticon fate in the hands of the YT comment section 😅 My vote goes to the Scions of the Flame. If I had a second choice, it would be Jade Obelisk. Good luck!
I'll cast another vote to grow the bonfire for Scions of the Flame. (And to drive engagement, of course.) Interested to see how the Blazing Lord performs. I've not been terribly impressed by him myself. (Performance-vise, that is. The model itself is sick.)
I don't imagine that Beasts will get their range refresh especially imminently as their current AoS book is fairly new, so they'll certainly be valid for a few years even if there's an unexpectedly drastic change to their unit designs. Though they'll probably get a specific Warcry warband fairly soon. There is a rather fanciful idea doing the rounds that the range may be dropped from AoS altogether because it will be in Old World, but that seems roughly as likely as the same happening to Slaves to Darkness. The game isn't even a proven success yet and we know that (a) new model support for Old World is limited and (b) they're rereleasing old versions of things that have new sculpts in AoS (such as Goblin Wolf Riders). So having Beasts in both games doesn't imply that they won't update the AoS range. Seraphon I don't think will change as much as you expect. The only new units they got were Raptadons and Terrawings, and the only one that will change substantially are the Cold One Riders changing to Aggradons. All are cavalry, which aren't commonly that important in Warcry. Warcry will probably lose Razordons and Salamanders (Spawn of Chotec, the new Salamander, is too large a model for Warcry) and will lose Chameleon Skinks as those are now a distinct warband, but all the basic Saurus, Skinks, Ripperdactyls and Terradons will remain as will most of the characters - although a few of the latter have been dropped from AoS, the Eternity Warden remains on sale despite having no rules presumably because it's a current Warcry model (similarly to the Sylvaneth Branchwraith).
I would love if you played Fyreslayers or Vulkyn Flameseekers. I think Azer from DnD as a paint style with a bronzed metal skin make them slightly more palatable
Jade obelisk is my vote! I will be dusting them off in a couple weeks and seeing what they can do with the normal suite of allies. A PDF for Seraphon tomorrow, hmm? Would be nice!
Anything would be interesting, except Ogor Mawtribes(Brewgit soup) and Stormcast Thunderstrike(Calthia). I would like to see one of the original warbands, like Spire Tyrants, Iron Golems, Scions of the Flame or Vulkyn Flameseekers. If I have to choose one, I would vote for the Scions.
I would like to see you playing Scions of the Flame. Out of Tournaments I would like to know how you would fix some D Tier Factions like Khainite Shadowstalkers for example, by playing them. Using Houserules with Blessing or increasing Str or DMG.ect.
Thank you, @@laszlotakacs5046 i'm aware of this list. The problem is still that this list only helps to bring the Warband into D Tier, so make the WB not fully broken. The Problem comes with the low strength of 3 and low DMG of 1/3. Lumineth have the same problem. You fight either a Warband which has more units on the fields or a tough enemy making it hard to kill when you just hit with 1 DMG. Soon or later Units are in front of you and then you die quickly. At the end only the Ally still stands. May it a Kharadron or like I did a Lord Arcanum on Celestial Dracoline.
That's true, but I also mis-wrote the cost of the killaboss w flail (I don't play kruleboyz so I forgot these things) as 195 instead of 190. So they all still fit under 1000
