Thanks for sharing! I have these recessed lights in my kitchen, in an apartment in France. Didn't know how I was going to replace burnt out bulbs. Plain, concise and straight to the point! Thanks!
Omg...thank you so much. I watched so many videos and none were similar to the tilting recessed light I have in my home. This video saved me so much time! TYSM!!!
Hi, my house was also built in 2006 and just yesterday the first bulb burned out in the kitchen over the sink. It was easy, kind of a globe fixture which pulled straight down, attached by a couple of springs, easy enough. I'm anticipating more to go soon, you know the rule, things happen in 3s. The ones that concern me are the bathroom lights, one in the stall shower and the other over the tub area. They have that ring around the bulb so I'm wondering what's the best way to bring that fixture down without making a mess of the popcorn ceiling, I see you have that as well. I hate it, lol. Thanks for the vid!
How do I enlarge the hole to accept a larger recessed light or is it too laborious? First of all can it be done? Can I do it by leaving the 'box' intact or do I have to change it all out? I have 2.5 feet of blown in insulation in the attic so I don't really feel
You just get your fingers or a putty knife and pull the outside ring down enough so you can access the wire clips on each side. Then you squeeze the 2 wire clips to get them to release.
