but 20 mph or more than speed limit is still reckless...that's the killer oftentimes. i'm so glad i'm moving out of VA to CA. I absolutely hate driving in VA...not only does VA tax your car like real estate but give you tix for going 40 on a 25 street that's completely empty but for a cop who loves hiding there with his LIDAR.

They love people out of state I been fighting mines over a year and it’s been messing up my job and my pay and coming from my home town 24 hr drive to come to va to be discontinued almost every time and they wanted me to go to jail and the cop was never present
@@JoseL9 damn bro my court date isn't till June. my lawyer said if I do a 8 hr safe driving course and 100 hrs of community service he thinks he can beat if for me and I won't have to come to Va for court. I'm in Florida. 5 outta 7 VA lawyers I talked to told me I'm def getting a guilty of Reckless driving criminal charge and I may do a few days in jail. they don't play in VA especially over 85 mph and I was 103 in a 70. I don't care about days in jail but a permanent criminal record, loss of license, points on license, and huge insurance hikes will be a BIG problem
@@SeamHead33 it’s crazy bro they tried me fr and I was coming from Florida to my home town in mass and she literally stopped me and ask about why I have tape in the car I said because the car is painted and why in the hell would I go 100 with a slammed car but I didn’t argue with her they made me go back n fourth for a year shit was messing up my pay but supposedly I pleaded guilty but I just really didn’t want to argue about it and took that fine and no license suspended
Dang! In California, Reckless driving is defined a "Wanton disregard for the safety of others". It's a misdemeanor which means 2 points on your record. We only have 2 speeding laws. Driving over the posted limit and driving faster than 100.

I just don't understand why drivers can't just abide by the law and stick to the speed limit. Where we live in ME the roads are hilly and winding. Some stretches are 45 others are 35 and thru town it's 30. And yet I have clowns up my ass when I'm doing the limit. I had one jerk pass me over a double line when I was doing the limit. When he shot by he was doing at least 70 in a 45. Sorry I have no sympathy for scofflaws! The last 3 causes for power outages here is because some yahoo lost control around a sharp curve at high speed and took out a utility pole. Unfortunately the town we live in has a small police department (7 full time officers including the chief) and it's a bit hard for them to be everywhere they're needed.
