Hello! Suzak-Mar here! A funny thing about the 100silver bounty on Jubaal: no joke he was one of the drummers who went to the party in the Vadurkin camp. He wanted to go drum at the party so he put on a head scarf and his mask and we all lied about having him with us so no one would kill him while he was having a good time. Also we gave Oaken temporary dual citizenship and a yellow cloak for his efforts to learn to soup.
Hearing Gareth dub my character (Marcellus) as his top Bounty Hunter was SUCH a proud moment for me. I will DEFINITELY be going to this LARP next year!

So many amazing outfits and armors are being showcased in this video! Listening to this sounds like so much fun. I know for a fact that if I ever get to the point where I can start saving money, I will definitely be saving money for tools and materials to make my own LARP outfit to use for LARPing and for travel expenses etc etc for LARPs around the world. Sounds like so much fun and I am glad you guys are going so in depth about your experiences and the stories and so on. It is just absolutely amazing to watch. Much love.

I had so much fun running around being Eir that entire time. Being called the Crone or rune lady by all the Vadurkin was so much fun. Losing my voice was so worth it. I also had so much fun doing your quests and being part of so many others. Looking forward to being part of the Solar Exchange.
Over recent days, my wife and I have "binge-watched" the Reckoning videos from both 2022 and 2023 from you and Kramer both. Suffice it to say, we are VERY INTERESTED in participating in (and helping with) a Skill Tree LARP!
Y’all should try the Weekend Warrior Experience by Fell & Fair. It’s kind of along similar lines to Reckoning, but it’s been going for a bit longer and seems a bit more developed and put together. I think since you enjoyed Reckoning so much, you’ll probably enjoy Weekend Warrior too.

There's great fun to be had 😄 I haven't quite finished the video yet, but I wonder - what happens in the Reckoning when a player dies, like with your assassinations? It obviously doesn't take them out permanently, but which ways back to life do they have?
I don't even live in the US, but since the question was open three weeks now: LivingAnachronism made a video about the event (he was much more upset about the paving flaws of the event though) and he explained that the supporter classes can resurrect with very little limits if limits at all.
I have been looking for a high immersion LARP like this for a while, but I couldn’t find any, especially not near me. SOMEHOW I managed to miss this one, and its in my home state! This is exactly how I imagined LARP and your story telling is great, seems like a blast! 👍

Had an absolute Blast fighting you in the arena buddy ! definitely agree with a lot of your points. But i think at the end of the day regardless of the deficiencies with the game, I think a lot of people had fun. Hopefully the game owners can get the miscommunication cleaned up
I have been going to Renaissance Faires for over 30 years, my oldest son has gotten into LARP and wants us to also “level up” our adventures. My entire family (ages 15-don”t ask lol) would be so thrilled to our first ever full LARP with SkillTree! Please move forward with that idea!
The siege pushed several new player role playing that got half of the rivlands gold and helped many players RP new avenues and friendships and alliances. Not all interactions will be enjoyable by everyone, however many of us that were in that, enjoyed it a lot. Love you guys just wanted to give another perspective.
Hell yeah! I am glad it made fun game for you. For sure, mileage will vary on every quest, interaction, etc... As long as players are getting game out of it, it is good by me😁
Love that Gareth at first tried to return Grim-brow (the family sword) to me almost immediately just for me talking to them. That first night was such good roleplay. Runnar made it sound like there was more bargaining involved to get it back since I initially said that Vadurkin honor was not restored so easily and refused to take the sword back. I do paaartially feel bad that we had to rush the ending of Roryn's quest since the orcs had attacked right in the middle of following the trail and I didn't wanna see it get overridden again by another orc attack. Still a good quest and a good way to finish off Roryn's current arc. Now though, in the good Jarl of Eisheim's own words, "let someone else's story be told."
This looks SO FUN, even with the hiccups! I would love to be an NPC/Vender/Quest giver type in an event like this. I've no interest in combat, but I'd love to play some kind of secret witch/soothsayer character that serves tea out of a vardo ^_^ Much like y'all, a character for folks to gather around and potentially help facilitate gameplay.
For the meal bracelet dilemma, they could have an embossed or stamped meal card with their name and ticket number. Have it signed by an official/staff member upon receiving it. Then it's both a keepsake and easily carried. For two part authentication, a Polaroid slim photo of the person with the staff member can be taken/ given, and carried with the card. Hard to forge both, and keeps everyone from hindering their aesthetic
Yes I would be 100% down for this. The way you guys talk about how you made quests and added to the story makes me have no doubts about you guys being able to run your own thing.
I came to this after watching Living Anachronisms video on the same and it just makes me so happy that you guys did so much to make this game better for the people there. Ive never larped before but have always been interested in it ever since seeing Role Models years ago lmao, I just have anxiety and dont like to do things alone and no one I know is interested in this sort of thing. Knowing that there are people like you out there who are willing to go to such lengths to try to make the experience fun for others even though you are just players yourselves makes me think maybe i should just do it and meet some friends there. If you DO end up running your own game I will definitely try to attend!
I find the idea of role playing quests to be way more appealing than simply fighting battles. I’ve never been larping but I would consider going to a quest heavy larp.
I know others have said this but I want to say that either Reckoning needs to hire you guys to help with their event or you guys need to put together an event of your own. Your organizational skills, your creativity, your ability to bring people together along with your RU-vid following would likely make for a great event. I don't LARP but watching your experience LARPing is making me want to check it out. I would love to see you guys and @DavvyChappy do a RU-vid collaboration on the LARPing that would be epic. Thanks for all the hard work!
i would 100000% be interested to see yall try your hads at running a larp. as someone who runs plot for a smaller larp i can recognize the love of making game for others hearing you talk about your experiences. it is so much fun being able to do that.

I feel the stamp pain. I started a Star Wars larp years ago. I started with an imperial logo stamp, stamped 1" stickers, and then put them on poker chips. FOR THE ENTIRE GAME'S ECCOMY!
I play an MMO with the Photographer, and one of the orks featured here, they're both wonderful people. It was nice seeing their work and hearing from them as well as you both that you all had a lot of fun. The ork even told me how he was saved during the final battle which was a nice story to hear.
Lmfao, same actually, I know *exactly* which ork and photographer you're talking about (I think) Actually sent screenshots anytime I saw Barb in the background. Very funny to see how small the world can be within a niche little group
it is very interesting to have a somewhat inverse problem to the larp i go to, where we have soo much game led modules (encounters), that we struggle to let the PC's do their own player led encounters. i usually volunteer as a cast member so it makes me wonder if the plot people were struggling to get people. no way to know since plot isn't talking a lot... glad ya'll had fun!!!
I might not be able to make it to the next few Reckonings, but I have been working on learning leatherworking so I can make my own kit. I've made a handwrap thing (idk if its a wrap anymore, I sewed it) that goes underneath a pair of gauntlets to protect my hands. This channel got me started on leatherworking and will probably be the reason I go to my first larp event. Haven't gotten far enough in the video yet, but I would love an event hosted by you Edit: I would love a Skill Tree larp event! I would prefer to be something along the lines of a bandit or assassin NPC though
My idea for a larp is making an adventurer's guild with the bounties and guild quests. And if you join the guild you get a temporary tattoo (the kind you apply with water) of the guild

Thank you for including the interviews at the end. I watched the whole time thinking “Man, this sounds like fun, but I’m probably too old, and I’ll be even older by the time I have time to invest in something like this.” Then you included the older gentlemen in there snd I felt better about it.
Definitely do you own LARP! You both have passion for this, and maybe offer workshops in Skilltree crafting during where people can earn credits/coin. Also, silvers are large money. How about coppers?
I have yet to go to a larp, and probably wont up here in Canada since it's all just weekly battlegames with zero roleplay. But man I love you two and your channel built around larping, and these videos make me want to travel to go to one. So, if you *do* decide to make one.. I need at least 2 weeks notice to book vacation!
The problems you mentioned are the exact reasons why I got out of LARPing. I never understood why the organizers could never organize? You have a year until the next meeting yet none of you can communicate with the others on important things like, I don’t know, rules maybe. But the one thing that always gets taken care of is the entry fee. At least all the slackers that “run” the event can agree on that.
As someone living far too far away to ever attend, it was really great to hear your story of this event and of how you would make up these quests, and what kind. I want to learn to enrich a game myself, although entirely in character. And i haven't heard a story like this ever where someone really talked about going for it.
I would love to not only go to a LARP set up by you, but to also volunteer to be an NPC. I have a few ideas that could definitely be fun, especially for the assasins

Congratulations on the play button. If you are willing to come to Florida, I suggest Mythic Adventures. It has been running for 7 years and will start season 8 in Sept. We play once a month September to May.
Idk the exact rate they're holding events, but if this is only the second-ever Reckoning event, and the first was about a year ago, it's only natural that they'd still have bugs to work out. I play a game that does 12 weekend events a year that's about to start it's 8th year, and even they still have logistics issues.
I went camping for the first time in November last year and it was cold overnight. I just winged the entire thing and my roommate who came chose to sleep in their hammock froze their booty off. 😂 I had a sleeping bag meant for colder weather, I brought tons of blankets for under and over myself while in the tent, slept with a hat on, was overall more prepared than the more experienced camper that was my roommate.
I would 100% support a Skill Tree run LARP. You guys are the reason I'm interested in attending one and building up a character / making costumes and weapons. I'm hoping maybe I'd be ready for Reckoning 3, or if I can get my act together something before then.
You will love the Conquest! All you told us sounds so good, now I wanna come next year but I guess it's to experience to fly from Germany xD The money system seems odd to me do to the fact we use copper silver and gold coins The thing with the Plot is kind of commen and in the end the player Plot is often even better than the stuff what is lined out Hope you enjoy the memories and keep them till the next larp . Btw there is no bad weather if you have a good cloak ;)
Downtime is quite tough in fest larps, especially when you are a specific type of character (fighter, artisan etc) and you do one thing which happens occasionally. Community and payer lead plot helps a lot :)
Talking from my humble larp experiences as a fantasy Roman soldier for like 4+ years (nowdays I try to represent a Northern toys merchant). Never be just a warrior, Fights even at a combat heavy Event might end up only 2-4 hours of fighting at the Event, which means there are at least 12-14 you need to fill up with other stuff. Maintaining weapon can't be all xd Back than I tried finding Trading partners for my country in the downtime of not fighting or just spying on different Camps through befriending them etc. Just allow yourself to do different stuff and think: what type of play does my character offer to other players. If you character doesn't maybe add games to your Equip or idk maybe manual work.
Have you ever heard of the Nero Larp system? I have played Larp for many years, and all of the issues that you mention about Reckoning are covered in the Nero rules. (knockout = waylay, character advancement, magic, combat, skills, lores, character development). There are Nero chapters in several states.
I've watched other reviews of Reckoning and the main common theme is there was a near complete lack of story and content from the actual showrunner. These guys seems to have done more to make this larp actually run and make it entertaining than the people who supposedly RAN THE LARP! Skillshare needs to send them a bill for all this work. Or better yet, just run the game next year and keep the money.

I’ll be going to reckoning 3 100% it’ll be my first larp but I’m super into all the anachronism things and lore and games and crafting and going to cosplay convention anime conventions and I think I could be really good at helping produce fun in game content and things to do that you spoke about in this video!
