Recommending Books I Loved Based on 1-star Reviews ⭐ 

I can't remember if it was a one-star review...maybe two-stars...but I once saw a review that said something along the lines of "so boring, super slow paced and the author goes into lots of details about the day-to-day lives of the character(s)" and I said "That sounds great, sign me up!!.

This concept is so fun!! & yes, I have read/loved books based on someone’s 1 star review. That’s why I love reviews over just a rating.

I normally just lurk here, but I had to comment to say that I've never used slack chat but I loved Several People Are Typing. It was hilarious and poignant and at one point spooky. I didn't find it hard to understand the work culture that was being satirized, just because I live in a world where people and media discuss that stuff all the time. I just feel a little sad when people say that you won't care for a book if you haven't lived the experiences in it. Anyway, I enjoyed this video a lot (I always enjoy your videos). The one star reviews of A Psalm For the Wild Built crack me up. I don't know what people were expecting when they went into it haha. Hope you have an amazing day! :)

Fun! Although I must admit these reviews turned me off reading the books. I don't know that I have picked up a book because of a one star review, but I have definitely picked up books despite them.

God I wish I liked The Raw Shark Texts, it seemed like it would be right up my alley but the way the narration kept pausing halfway through something interesting to talk about some "girl's" body was so jarring for me, expecially when it did always call them "girls," the book introduces a character as a 'girl with pitch black hair and a navy bomber jacket' and I was all 'awe I went through that phase when I was fifteen too, I bet she dyed her hair herself' and then after a couple pages the MC started talling about her boobs and I nearly had a stroke. Got about halfway through before I realized the MC wasn't gonna have his character analyzed and I dropped it. The concept was fun though so if you can suffer through those points I agree, it could be interesting, I just personally wish the shark had suceeded in eating the dude page fifty lol

I love Several People Are Typing so much, pretentiousness and all XD
