Record breaking Dons stun champions to go top

Aberdeen came from behind to beat Celtic 2-1 at Pittodrie in the SPFL Scottish Premiership and record their best ever start to a league campaign, despite being reduced to ten men in the second half. Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring before Adam Rooney equalised but Jonny Hayes was sent off before Paul Quinn's late winner.

celtic fan here. well done to aberdeen, FULLY deserved victory. if the celtic management and players wont wake up fast we will lose the title no question about it. aberdeen are a very capable team this season.

SPFL, just shut down this channel.. 2am on a monday morning the highlight shows up, no commentary, no formations, no lineups. 2 mins of footage from a great game. Oh and your playlist is shockingly organised as well. Let someone with half a clue in to do it for you instead of some amatuer with an NVQ in media studies.

Yes, I agree. What happened to the five minutes of commentated highlights from each game that they had last season? That was pretty decent but this new two minutes without commentary isn't. The main channel page doesn't even show the most recent highlights now. I had to search around to find this weekend's highlights.

I'm a Dundee fan living abroad so I can't watch BBC I-Player or Sportscene. I relied on those longer highlights to keep up to date with all the games. I'm very disappointed they've stopped them .

Celtic fan here with some facts: -The Griffiths penalty should of been a red card to Considine -The Shinnie penalty was not a penalty, he just ran into Boyata and fell coz he was going nowhere -The Hayes red card was never a red, he got the ball first even if it was reckless -Celtics defence is absolutely ABYSMALL and I think every team in the SPFL could score against them this season -Aberdeen I rate pretty high, and I think they have a better team than Celtic which is funny considering the gap in funds between the clubs, yeah Celtic did record a small profit loss, it shouldn't harm the club THIS MUCH In conclusion, congrats to Aberdeen! Was a deserved win in all honesty.

+KoJ1337 Penalty should have been a red, Shinnie penalty was a clear and stupid foul. Hayes red card is a red, doesn't matter if you get there first, still a very dangerous challenge.

mike joyce One of the most average players to Captain Celtic in their history. Runs around like a headless chicken and can make rash decisions. Look this is where Celtic are these days. Good enough to win the league still. But Europe? Well we have seen in recent seasons that Peter Lawell has downsized the club amd we just cant compete at that level. Players of Browns limited ability would never have been Celtic captain in the past.

+cdog1990able I didn't say we were going to win the league. Just nice to beat Celtic and funny that Deila loves a moan. But I don't think the league is much of a given this year - Deila is crap and we'll push Celtic all the way. With their budget there is absolutely no excuse to be in this position even at this early stage.

+Steve McPhee I'm a Celtic fan but I have the utmost respect for what Aberdeen has accomplished we might have an actual race for the title this season all I know is Deila needed a wake up call and Aberdeen delivered it until Deila figures out how to play a good defense its going to be very close best of luck with the rest of your season

Great result for us, but we will drop stupid points against lesser opponents. Advantage we have is we play on Saturdays as to Celtic on Sunday's cause of Europa league. Maybe put pressure on Celtic having to win and not lose too much ground

+nanaimoclipper you mean lose? It's always wonderful when a a big team loses. I'll agree with that, I've always been for the underdog (other than celtic). However learn how to spell. It's wonderful when a big team loses. That would be the correct sentence. "I don't like her loose vagina" would also be a correct sentence. You're just using the word wrong. Maybe a more accurate sentence would be, "I'm an aberdeen fan, and i'm really enjoying celtics loose defence this year."

Boohoo. Get over it, brown should have been sent off, we got a man wrongly sent off, you got your penalty and scored it. You can't go blaming the referee when it's your defence who have been incompetent. Just look at brown for quinns goal!
