I've just bought the TMP two days ago. You're my go-to video guy, right now! I even posted a question about recording volume a day or so ago on the TMP FB group which your video addresses precisely. I'm certain new users will benefit from your video. Good luck with your studies. I look forward to watching more of your content.

Thank you for the kind words, John! I'm glad they are helping! And thank you, I'm grinding away over here haha! I love studying music production, it's so cool to see how all the audio engineering techniques apply to my passion for guitar!

So refreshing to see TMP content based on encouraging positive results as opposed to the wave of clickbait hate Who would have thought that would be rare!! If you post it I’ll watch it Subbed

haha I hear you. There's a ton of "TMP vs ____" and not a lot of creativity videos or demo videos. I'm glad you're enjoying the content!

More Logic Tricks!!! Also enjoying the Tone Master videos. Could you also do a video on using the expression pedal? Thanks so much.

By the way , I’m hearing latency with your vocal mic.

Yeah, that’s the vocals getting 2 signals. It stops halfway through the video when I turned off the studio pre amp. It won’t happen again haha.

Great video, thanks. Note - You only need to the USB connection IF you're using the Tonemaster pro as an audio interface. I already have a MOTU audio interface so I don't use the USB on the Tonemaster, just the two outs from output 1 with output set to line level. Set up gain on the two channels on the motu and it is as simple as that. I use Ableton Live as a DAW and don't tend to use Reamp function

Hey, Thanks for this. The reamp function is still a bit tricky to me, especially the routing. Any advice would be appreciated.

nice demo- i’m a big logic user - i use a UAFX 4-channel interface - during this demo i’m hoping (for my own understanding) logic is using the Scarlet for input and output. Had this weird thing happen where logic picked up my TMP (because i use the fender editor on my macbook and am connected to usb) as my i/o device -and basically re-amped my already-amped track. I recorded the track in final cut initially because i was doing a video instruction and wanted to add a few audio tracks and a mic track for voice over… Ilol never use the TMP audio interface btw -but there’s no apparent way to disable that…

Interesting… is your TMP in re-amp mode?

Where did you get the color coded ports on the back? Also, a video on the Expression Pedal and its options would be great. Not much around RU-vid

Hi Damion. Great videos. I’m struggling with recording level also. Have to max out amp level and preset level to get a decent signal. Playback of the track through the FR 10 is about half the original monitoring volume. Any further tops re this.

@damionandy 6 месяцев назад
Click the master fader button then look at your USB 1/2 and 3/4 levels. Make sure they're at unity. I would also check your preset volume, THEN your amp level. If you do that order, the only issue you'll have is being too loud

Hey, when you are creating vids like this do you use something like OBS? I'm on windows and use Presonus Studio One and OBS is the only way I have been able to route everything to work together. Stupid windows will not allow audio routing like Macs.

I’m using a scarlet interface for my iPhone and routing everything to my tone master pro to my scarlet into my iPhone. Then I edit with CapCut pro, do a video mask on my iPhone footage, and make my screen recording the main screen. The secret is in the editing. Hope this helps!

Why would you need to use both USB and an audio interface? Are you doing this for re-amping only? I just use an apogee Duet 2 audio interface. ✌️
@damionandy
@damionandy 6 месяцев назад
I am only using the audio interface for the RU-vid videos and for live-streaming. The interface is used to capture the audio into my camera's video. This is just my workflow haha, you don't need 2 interfaces - the Tone Master Pro is an interface.

Hi , Thx for the video. Why aren t you recording in stereo, in the USB inputs? Shouldm t it be 1+2? That s how i do it in reaper :) But I don t record via USB, I use outputs 1+2 from TMP into the inputs 1+2 of the audio interface or into an analogue mixer and the mixer into audio interface :)
@damionandy
@damionandy 6 месяцев назад
Because I don't really record in Stereo. I record a L guitar and then a R guitar, but each is a different pickup to make my tone thicker.

@@gibson2623you too! Haha I hope that didn’t come across meanly. My live rig is a mono rig. I like the idea of running stereo rigs, I’m just not there yet. It’s easier to just run one line to FOH than worrying about an engineer blending well for the room. I tried it when I was doing a musical and what it turned into was one side of the room heard my VOX amp and the other heard my Princeton haha. This may work in a recording environment, I guess I just haven’t tried it… maybe I will and report back! 🤘

@@damionandy Yeah man, no worries, thanks :) When I want thicker guitars, I just double track the same guitar. I just think reverbs and modulation sound better recorded in stereo, we have a usb pair and trs/xlr outs pairs, why not? When I play only, via cabinet, it s mono, of course, I dont do stereo rigs in live situations, just on studio recording, because it is at our fingertips. I hope I don t run into phase issues, lol, I probably do, but it is just for fun anyway:) Take care bro :)

I get the best stereo signal out of my TMP by doing the following: Preset/amp/main volume > 60% running stereo XLR out with line out setting into XLR in on my audio interface. Brutal dynamics !! Deluxe sounds like it should and if I like I could use stereo amps and stereo effects which sound huge/wide on headphones/monitors. Talking Studio Setup 😊
