At the outset I want to thank you for your excellent video. It will be very helpful once I can retrieve files. Do I need to get a SATA to USB adapter with power for a 3 1/2" drive? I got a plain adapter with USB and connected it to my PC. It shows up as a HD but I cannot retrieve any files.

@@CadillacComputerCenter Thank you for the prompt response. I got a new adapter with power and now I am able to copy files. I am still not able to import the book marks from my old drive. I followed your process and it copied over 1 GB of data but I still see the current book marks. I should mention that my current Firefox browser has several bookmarks. THANKS.
i am trying to transfer my data from a hd that was using windows 7 to my new laptop on windows 11. while some of the data transferred, after looking through my old hd, its telling me that a lot of the data is old and outdated. i havent been able to find the updated info on my old hd.
Hi. Try this.....do a fresh install of firefox, dont open it after install. It will open once after install, close it. Than, delete the Mozilla folder. Than copy your old Mozilla folder to the same location. Now open firefox. See what happens. Dale
So it worked!! Can I do same with opera browser and UC browser??? Because I seem to get bookmarks and history back, but not password which is the most important information I need
@@CadillacComputerCenter same thing happened to me.. I deleted Firefox and tried (several times) to delete the existing firefox folder inside (roaming) but it keeps telling me “access denied.. you require permission from LAPTOP-9FK2G/xxx to make changes”.. tried a dozen of times but cannot delete folder.. any advice??
