*Mike: “She’s too important for me to not be here!!”* I got so emotional watching this. That Mike is sooo sweet how he went from training athletes to people that REALLY needs help like Katie. She looked beautiful. But she is a pretty woman, so I think she’d look great in any really.
Yeah, I was wondering what is going on with his voice too. I was wondering if he has had it evaluated by a good ENT specialist. Might be a vocal chord issue that could be corrected with surgery and rest of the vocal chords. Maybe some vocal coaching afterwards.
A thoughtful PT who’d actually heard of my condition before (RSD/CRPS) is why I can stand/walk today. I still need forearm crutches and I have days where I still need my wheels, but he took one look at me and decided to get me in a heated therapy pool ASAP. I needed to be lowered in on a chair when I first started. By the time I stopped routine PT 4 months later, I went in using the stairs, just turned sideways. It’s worth learning about rare diseases like CRPS, EDS, ALS, etc. We zebras struggle to find treatment. If you can meet the zebra community, you’ll forever have grateful patients.
I am a PT, and this must feel similar, to me helping a concert pianist with shoulder injury to get back to playing Beethoven when he was 83 years old. Watching him at the concert was a very special moment in my life. It took about one year of him working very hard toward his goal.
Read this on one of the comments: Kylie DeGarmo 2 days ago This aired in 2015. Her and her husband are married with three kids now. What a strong woman ❤
Sandra Nelson “should” be displayed? I get you’re tryna be nice, but you shouldn’t tell people what they should do with their insecurities. Clearly she doesn’t like them and wants people to focus on other things on her wedding day than her scars. Idk why you would leave a comment like that when she already stated what she herself wanted🙄
I've gone through something simmilar. I agree that they are scares of valor but I wouldn't want them showing in my wedding either, or in any formal gown. I'm not ashamed of them, but I don't like to flaunt them
Scars? From flyin thru the windshield. Seatbelt usage? No. scars, yes. Glad she recovered, but i do hope that the ladies watching this learn to wear a seatbelt while in the car.
@@CaroleHaddon I feel like ppl forget that opposite genders can just be friends. Like honestly, I felt like he was a proud older sibling/ mentor than him wanting to marry her
@@emmyrip8615 I honestly only got that vibe cause of the way they told her story and how she talked about him. I thought that was gonna be her “fiancé” story like they do on the show. And when he came and smiled at her, and hugged her... she just looked radiant. You’re probably right and that it’s nothing. I just got a vibe that’s all.
Yes, very much so. The most important relationship in my life is with a Priest who has become another Dad to me, has loved me through a mental breakdown, cared for me, talked through anything i needed, brought food when I wasn’t eating... I love that man more than words could ever say. True love comes from total self-giving and mutual respect and sacrifice. That depth can happen in non-romantic relationships too and when it does it’s just as special. I’m so happy.
This here just made me feel so guilty for taking the little things for granted . watching this beautiful young woman be so grateful for the the things that we probably don’t appreciate.
Mike getting emotional for the bride made me emotional. It's so nice to see how passionate he is especially since he's helped her on her journey and he will be a big part of her wedding.
Would love to see the reaction of her husband-to-be when he sees her walking down the aisle (I am assuming she intended it to be a surprise for him and the other wedding guests, and that the wedding ceremony is already over before this episode aired)...
Awwwwww.. heartfelt best wishes my dear girl to you and your family! You are an inspiration and a shining example of what can be accomplished even in the darkest times.. virtual hug! Xx😘😘😘👍👍👍
This had me in tears... the entire time!!! I’m so happy she’s doing well and married with children... my nephew was in a bad car crash as well seeing this gives me so much hope that he can lead healthy normal life! Thank you for airing this episode
I hope so! My nephew was in a terrible single car wreck and was put in an induced coma. Afterwards, he changed his college major to the healthcare field and is now in graduate school and married.
What a modern fairy tail. A beatifule young lady, a real lioness not giving up on what cards life delt her. Wishing her and her partner a bright happy future 💕
This is one of the sweetest and joyful segments I’ve ever seen. The family is so kind. The friends are so kind. They’re the type of people that leaves you with a smile. Best wishes.
I cried when her trainer helped her stand. I wish we could’ve seen their wedding. I’m happy that she married the love of her life and has a beautiful family
HOW could any one give this story a thumbs down!! This girl is positive and strong, no showing off like so many brides in these videos, the family are lovely and she is gorgeous in that dress. Good luck sweetie.
Mike is so awesome! I’ve never seen someone so dedicated and care so much about someone like he does for her. How many personal trainers would not only step up to help at the wedding but also show up at her wedding dress appointment in another city! This was so freaking cool to see. He’s like her new uncle or second father.
What an emotional episode! I injured my spinal cord 2 1/2 years ago during an emergency back surgery. I can so feel with her and am very happy she is doing so well! Wishing you the best for your life 🙏
She’s amazing for not just giving up and her therapy coach is a real dream come true in what anyone would want in someone who is helping them achieve their goals.
What a bitter sweet story. When I see these stories I think about not taking anything or anyone for granted. To live everyday as a gift, not a burden. Wish her happiness!
I think that is so Amazing that her trainer will also walk her down the isle. She's such a beautiful young lady, I wish her all the blessings and happiness in the world
I cried my eyes out watching this. As a bride soon and stressing about all things Corona, I am honestly counting my blessing being able to walk twice. Truly gives you perspective.
I'm a physical therapist ...and I had a young bride who got bells palsy just a few months before her wedding ....we got her face back in action by the time the wedding day came ... And se sent me videos she had done marking the progress (I'm not tech savvy😊) .. And the final ..on the day of the wedding ..THE SMILE.!!! S o happy ..!! These are the things that make it worthwhile !!
Such a beautiful young lady, inside and out. I love her strength and dedication and I wish them both all the love and success in the world. And Mike -- what a wonderful man!
I absolutely love the dress with the little sleeves! Everyone says they want something different, and she actually tried something on that's different, and she looks stunning❤️
