Bride Jenny relies on her bridesmaid's fashion style but with Lori's help, she finally rebels and picks the dress of her dreams. Catch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC - Sky 133, Virgin 162, BT TV 323
I was trying to read up on her to see if she was still friends with that monster Kayla, and when I found her page, my heart broke. She got COVID while she was pregnant with her second baby, went into pre-term labor and her little boy died a few weeks later. She just had her rainbow baby. She seems like the sweetest girl ever, truly a warrior. (and she clearly deserves better than the shitty friend who made picking out a wedding dress a nightmare)
OMD that’s absolutely terrible 😢 the poor poor girl. She does seem lovely & that’s a very unfair thing to happen to her. Life can be truly cruel sometimes
@@kiriforever1 Don't be sorry about a rainbow baby. A rainbow baby is the one who came after tthe previous baby's passing. The rainbow baby is a celebration!
I just pray she’s being told to be like that otherwise the bridal party should never this optionated! The constant theme I I’m seeing u in a the bride being so passive!
Her face after the bride put on a veil looked as if she was jealous that the bride and not her was the center of attention; and the bitchy remark at the end about picking the bridesmaids dress. Little Miss Fashion degree needs to shut up and sit down.
This whole clip is basically just her friend thinking she’s entitled to have complete control over what dress she picks. And I for sure know she isn’t the one who’s paying.
Monte is still my favorite. He's great. He has the BEST glare. "I WILL be picking the bridesmaid dresses" with the music in the background had me chuckling a little.
Definitely that or she just wants to be the highlight of the appointment on tv.its not her day its the brides she needs to step back.im glad the bride stood her ground.im a bridal stylist and sadly there's alot of people that act that way.
She's furious that can't bully her friend into doing whatever she says. I bet she actually hates the fact that her friend is getting married at all, but especially before HER!
No, I don't think it had anything to do with jealousy. I think it was more she's a control freak and likes to have complete control over every situation.
@@chanellethomas6886 that’s a toxic “friend” and if she wanted lace then they could both have lace, it’s not like she was the first person to think of a lace dress on her wedding day 🤷🏾♀️
Right! When she was all I'm gonna have a big part in picking her dress. Like mam this is not your wedding. Also, saying you're a fashion guru, like fashion is subjective and personal. Everyone has a different style
I'm surprised randy didn't say anything to her. When its your turn to pick a dress you and your fashion degree(she said in school meaning not have it yet) can have whatever you desire.
@@stefanie_irl Fashion student should also create new style of fashion instead of just wearing the same boring style. Kayla is bossy and although she's a fashion student doesn't mean Jenny needs to listen to her opinion . Also Kayla's outfit doesn't even look fashionable for a fashion student .
@@ruelollie7739 Jenny definitely doesn’t need to deal with those kinds of “friends”, she should stand up for herself. All I said was that I don’t think a fashion student in general has to dress a certain way just because they’re a fashion student
The bride looks like Rachel mcadams she’s absolutely stunning I usually see comments on other videos complimenting the bride so I’m surprised there wasn’t more on this one
Yess that’s what I was thinking! She looks identical to Allie from the note book. That sweet and innocent cute look. She’s absolutely stunning, I honestly think he friend was jealous of her. I was scrolling down the comments to see if anyone else saw how similar she looks to Rachel mcadams!
_“This was a good mixture of what I want and what you wanted”_ Well hate to break it to you missy, but what you want doesn’t matter cause it’s not your wedding.
I actually really like the one she picked out. I think all of them were very flattering on her. I personally liked her bridesmaid pick and the second one more than the one the bride chose. But they all looked stunning on her, she just has that perfect shape, that would look good in any dress
I actually liked the one she picked out better than the one the bride did... and no I’m not saying that to inflate her ego is just that it really did suit the bride good. However the bride 👰🏼 is the one getting married obviously it should be her choice. This happened to my friend Sarah she had to abandon the dress she liked for the one her mother in law was pushing on her....just because she was pitching around with the wedding costs.
"This is a good mixture between what you want and what I want" Um excuse me??? It doesn't have to be a mixture at all! It's HER wedding, it's entirely about what SHE wants.
this exactly what I’ve been thinking. All these vids always end in the bride compromising over HER wedding dress like she shouldn’t have to please anyone else
Kayla is no one’s friend. She seems to think the world revolves around her. The bride stood up for the dress she wanted. Let’s hope she stands up later and gets rid of this woman in her circle of friends.
"I just don't want her twenty years down the road looking at photos to think 'oh my gosh what was I thinking?' She won't. She'll look at her wedding pictures, see you as her bridesmaid, and think, "oh my gosh what was I thinking?"
I’ve heard this advice from brides, or the advice to go alone and get it down to two or three that you love and have a small group come back with you to pick between them
I bought my dress by myself 50 years ago. Husband thought I looked amazing. Everyone was surprised. And the price was very reasonable because it was on a mannikin in the store window. It needed no alterations.
Kayla has a lot to learn - empathy, consideration, tact, boundaries, and how to create her own happiness without controlling others or bringing down their happiness. Perhaps, after Kayla graduates, she can start her own bridal couture company and someday get married in whatever gown she chooses. But today is Jenny's day to pick the wedding dress that makes her happy. Hopefully, Kayla will learn how to respect other people's boundaries on focus on supporting their happiness instead of meeting her needs through trying to control them.
but like......... that friend acts as if she’s the only one who knows something about fashion😭 the bride clearly also has got her own taste look how pretty she looks. she looks so sweet why is she friends with her
The looks on the face of that petty child when her demands were not catered to... I loved when her smile died in the end when the bride almost told her to put a sock in it. That's a toxic friendship if I ever seen one, y'all. And she was jealous.
@@dyI723 she was nasty, her eyes said it all they had so much hatred in them. Not only that but she herself got married in lace. She just wanted to make sure the bride didn’t pick lace Bc she was saving it for herself. She was so mad, Bc people would think she copied the bride.
i'm sure the mother and sisters are well aware of the appendage, and chose to not add to the drama. like who the hell cares if you have a fashion degree? all the bride has to do is to choose a dress that SHE likes.
I would never be so rude at a friends bridal appointment! It is not HER wedding it is the bride’s wedding! You are there to support the bride not tell her what YOU think she should wear. 🤬
I know right! And then when she had the nerve to say the second dress was half of what she wanted and a half of what the friend wanted like getting a dress for your wedding should be a compromise.
2:41 Damn that murderous look had me fearing for the brides life. Then mine when she LOOKED AT THE CAMERA! Edit:OMG I’ve never gotten so many likes! It’s also funny to see that we’re in the same “holy crap she looked at my soul” boat! Thanks you guys!
@@glitter_smack016 To be fair, her dress was 3D lace appliqués which is a bit different to the straight all over lace & it was actually a beautiful dress that looked stunning on her. But that doesn’t excuse her death stares & arrogant behaviour towards this bride & her supposed friend. And the rest of her “fashionista” taste is god awful with garish patterns, ruffle dresses with puffy sleeves 😳
Does anyone else see the way the bride’s face lit up when she wore that last dress? Her smile was so big and genuine, you could tell that dress was made for her. The friend was awful for not respecting the brides wishes despite how happy she was.
Yes - I noticed how excited she was with the last dress. The last was stunning and it was so beautiful on her! I was happy that she finally stood up to Kayla.
The bride had a vision of herself in lace with a sweetheart neckline. The floral three dimensional flowers with bling were PERFECT for her petite body Her eyes were twinkling and her smile was HUGE as she swept out in her gown. Bridal fashion is often about dreams and visions in a way that no other fashion is. As a seamstress and designer and costumer, I have studied countless fashion plates from all cultures and eras to create accurate recreations. I love the exploration of bridal fashion. My marriiage did not work out at all. However, it never stops me from liking watching and viewing and creating. That so called friend, thought she knew it all because she was dabbling in fashion, which of course, means that everything sweet and old fashioned gets thrown out of the window as they seek for attention getting chic design.
But she had to have said those things & given those death stares for them to be able to use them 🤷♀️ The editors no doubt over emphasise them, but the raw material is all her & that’s scary & no true friend! And the fact the bride said she found her intimidating says everything
That scene was copied and pasted from a scene when we we're looking at the dresses in the actual boutique. The dress I was referring to did actually look like a doily and wasn't selected for Jenny to try on. The show is heavily edited. I did not feel the way they made me look regarding Jenny's dress.
@@CDNHoneybee The reason she is not showing remorse is because she did not behave the way the producers made her look. These shows prompt participants to say things and edit clips together to create a story. There is no telling what kind of facial expressions a camera may find on me while sitting around in that boutique long enough to film this appointment. From behind the scenes stories I have seen before, they are much longer than the typical appointment. The ones of us who watch, love to inflate our own egos by making snap judgments about people we don't know at all. I confess I do that too.
@@joyfuljaj I do agree with you in some cases and you phrased it accurately and very well 😀💯👍 BUT only in some cases. I’m a very fair gal who gives the benefit of the doubt and overly forgives. I rarely to never respond to videos on RU-vid. BUT I can clearly see Kayla is a narcissist. You should see the other comments on this video too. Most people are intelligent with good hearts and do not make snap judgements. So I can with confidence say that this Kayla gal is pretentious and narcissistic. I sadly read people well. It’s a blessing and a curse. Even when Kayla was talking about her expertise in fashion it’s clear the show was not edited sneakily for that part. Kayla was blatantly snobby, had attitude with the-I’m better than everyone else pretentiousness. The jealous/awful energy flows from her with or without editing for that part. Sadly I know all too well people like Kayla 👎🏻 I still hope and pray that somehow Jenny moves on from her. Even the bride Jenny said in this video that Kayla can be intimidating, is a fashion diva and pretty much has to get her way. So the truth is still there about Kayla. My one group of friends warmly call our friend Lori- “A fashion and interior design guru” and we respect her and admire her. Not once has anyone said she is intimidating or a diva. The term diva is very bad and an insult trust me. So Kayla is not little miss innocent
this is tv. it's not accurate, it's entertainment. they intentionally create fake drama. if you listen to clips of people talking on this show sometimes it sounds like they're cutting between each word.
I wish the mom would have spoken up for her daughter or about how she wants her daughter to be happy. But atleast glad, the bride stood up for her ownself!
6:06 Creepy music starts playing ... " I may not have picked for Jenny's wedding day, but I will be picking the bride's maid dress." ... Excuse me sweetie, but you ain't picking anything until you have your own wedding day.
The producers made me say that. I actually had no say in selecting the bridesmaids dresses and loved what Jenny picked out for us to wear. I also didn't hate Jenny's dress, I loved it ! Reality tv is rarely "reality". Had I known they were going to make me out to look like the devil, I would have never agreed to be on the show.
@@kaylabrewer1025 Don't let it get to you! Think of it this way: For these brief moments, you played a part and played it well, even if you didn't totally consent to it... unfortunately. But all the ire here in the comments is actually directed at the character you're, in a sense, playing, and all the people here who are so very upset... probably found this story entertaining. A character they love to hate, so to speak. Sorry if this still isn't too encouraging, I know I would hate to be in this situation myself, and it really sucks. But I guarantee, anyone you meet in real life won't be thinking of an old clip from a TV show. Even if they saw this video, they've probably forgotten it, and if they haven't, I bet they'd give you the benefit of the doubt in person.
"I'm gonna have a big part in picking out her dress" ????????????? okay, who says you get the final say in a dress that you won't be wearing?? IT IS NOT YOUR WEDDING! You are only there for opinion and support, it dosen't mean the bride has to choose what you choose, The bride could easily come by herself to pick out her dress, feel lucky that she let you come along.
