If the dev team could take the striking from EA UFC, the grappling,clinch system, submission, and ground and pound from Undisputed 3, and the damage system from EA MMA, this would be almost the perfect MMA game. And honestly I prefer Undisputed's striking even though it's not as fluid as EA UFC 4, but the strikes feel much more dangerous. I feel like in Undisputed 3 I can be knocked out at any given time. Bam, one punch and it's over. I never really get that feeling from EA UFC. I do like the fluidity of the strikes, the footwork, and the sways/slips, but the strikes just don't feel right, almost like a sparring session rather than a fight. And the striking on the ground is just pathetic in EA UFC.
I've been a huge MMA fan for 12+ years and shoguns been fighting at the top level longer than that. What a god damn legend. Respect the tribute my dude.
I remember these Pride days well, dude was a stone cold killer but I'd be lying if I said I feel as comfortable at 40 watching dudes get soccer kicked/stomped in the face as I did in my 20s haha
I used to play these games with my granddad and father as a kid seeing the ring girl cut scene brought back so many memories of my granddad whistling and cat calling the ring girls 😭 simpler times
I miss Pride FC I use to get all of the ppvs back in the day and record them on the vcr . Chute Boxes vs The Brazilian Top team was a good rivalry. I miss those days.
Ah the Pride days........IMHO the peak of MMA. I always loved the Pride events. Japan always went all out for their PPVs. You can sense the love Japan has for the sport.
I actually have all of the Pride events on dvd. Back in the day when the UFC first bought them out, there was a local Hastings that had some of the grand prixs and I was hooked. Went online to get all of the other events. The 2005 grand prix Shogun won was amazing.
I'm jealous man! I have a pretty sizable collection myself but I know there's several I'm missing. I get on a kick now and then where I'll surf Ebay and buy like 8 or 9 at a time. My goal is to eventually own them all. Almost every single Pride event was epic! Even knowing the outcome I still love watching them to this day.
@TreDaySensei I have 7 different box sets that have like 5 events each. They're numbered from 1 to 34. I bought the set off Ebay like 8 years ago for $50, and to this day I consider that one of the best deals I've ever found. That's like less than $2 per Pride event
UFC 3 by THQ is the best MMA game ever made still! I wish THQ hadnt gone under cuz they made the best MMA games by far all the way back to the first one they made for the Dreamcast.
Man I miss this game so much great memories of my 20s playing online, want to play it so bad but not enough to go live on a 360 or PS3 away from my mates

Crazy how shogun ran thru all those guys and he was a underdog who looked like a regular dude with a dad bod while everyone else looked like physical specimen. Legend 💪💯
Ill never forget this my mate got a pride boxset for his birthday in 07 or 08 i was intrigued so he said i could lend it and watching shoguns rise ive been hooked ever since and as much as i love modern mma and UFC pride never die!
@15:40 this is why EA need to re-master this game and make some tweaks to the striking and you have an amazing game, all the new UFC games dont generate this much hype lol
The grappling and the ground-and-pound is so much better and vicious on this game than UFC ea 4 I remember walking from my house to GameStop to get this game when I was 16. best mma game ever I still got a copy of ufc undisputed 3 for the ps3 wish I can play it on PS4 or ps5

We need a pride grand Prix with continuous damage, it would have been awesome to see how you faired after the rampage fight. Perhaps the new dog in the yard heads to pride?👀
So much about this game just looks more fun and entertaining than UFC 4. Just things from the entrances and commentary to the slams and other moves. As someone who has only played UFC 4 in the series, I wish this was the game I was playing instead
Yea this game is several levels above the EA UFC games. Other than the stand up being on the stiff side, and head damage not regenerating between rounds, the gameplay is solid. Games also 11 years old. Just imagine what we could have if they continued to make Undisputed games, and they continued to improve upon each game. We would likely have something truly epic......makes me sad to think about what could have been
Rampage Jackson in the older games was a problem. He always gave me a good fight. The power in his hands was strong, and his clinch uppercut was broken.

Had gotten myself ufc undisputed 3 for my ps3 and it was the best decision of my life not only it was worth the wait but it was the last one in stock on amazon, surprised nobody bought it before me as i was looking to get it for a month before i finally decided to buy it
This is the most perfect MMA game of all time. I love the variety of grappling positions as well as knockdown animations. They were so lazy with UFC 4, so lazy that they removed clinch game. I miss games when they were ambitious.
Yo Martial I just watched gameplay on this sick PS2 boxing game called “Victorious Boxers 2” brotha you have to give it a quick watch I’m certain you’ll play the hell out of it. As an MMA fighter I have to say AWESOME
It's never been good in any of the EA games. THQ Yukes has always gone good translating the grappling to the game. They have alot of experience with all the wrestling games they've released over the years.
Is there a tournament mode in this game? It would be dope to be able to recreate a Grand Prix with the likes of hendo, cro cop, wanderlei, hunt and other legends with this incredible game.
