Say waht you wanna say about the striking in this game, BUT MAN... the transitions, the grappling, ground game and even more is just outstanding. I bought this game and Fight Night Champions together for only 10 bucks for the PS3 and it still amazing. Absolutely one of a kind!
The striking is the only part that is off...but lord have mercy, the grappling was so good, you could actually play different grapple styles and the seated position against the cage Smesh
@@johnmorales6281 YES! And I love the career mode with a FULL PLAYABLE TRAINING CAMP! Ffs EA... do better. Post fight interviews, doctor stoppage, etc.
@@i5C0R3Pi0N If I remember, UFC 2010 had post fight interviews. But besides that damn you're everything was perfect for career mode especially for the year that it came out. Not only that because this isn't my real channel...my other channel following my MMA career, I used to train at American top team down in Coconut Creek Florida and it was really cool being able to have my fighter training out of Coconut Creek and actually training in the facility.... That was really freaking cool And you know that EA is cheap when it comes to spending money because they decided to make up these boo boo gyms

@@MyMakija almost everything in ufc undisputed 3 is ahead of ufc 4, funny how an old gen console game, could be better than a game which is also being updated almost every single week 🤦♂️

By far my favorite UFC game that ive played is this one, its amazing you played this martial, i only ever played advanced difficulty would never hit up ultimate but spent countless hours on this particular game keep up the amazing content brotha

Jon Jones challenge: go undefeated in ranked for 28 matches. For added challenge, never get dropped in a fight as I believe, if I'm not mistaken, Jones has never been dropped by strikes
@@botondbakos5954 who? That guy gassed out in the third, got worked the last two rounds. The first 3 rounds were toss ups. He only gets it called a lost cause any close round they say he lost due to him being so dominant early in his career. There is ten years of tape on Jones and he's still winning. It was a unanimous decision 😂. There was a 49-46. So he took damage, but it never looked close to being ended. Jones is graded on a curve, people think Gus won the first fight, I think he only got one round. Reyes was impressive, but Reyes hasn't been the same since that lost. That's Jon Jones real legacy, after you fight him, you are changed forever. Only Glover has really succeeded after a Jones fight, everyone else gets washed.
@@jbrax425 they weren't toss ups, Jon got his ass boxed up. Reyes gassed cause he punched Jon in the face so many times. And don't act like round 4 wasn't close, Reyes hurt Jon's eye in that round if i remember correctly
@@jbrax425 judges always favour the betting favourite and the 49-46 was atrocious. Watch the full fight again, if you still think Jon won that fight you are biased and delusional. The way Reyes career went downhill proves that Jon is washed up, he lost to a guy who then went on to get ktfod in his last two fights. Jon is not the same anymore and mma fans should finally accept it, that's the reason he doesn't fight anymore. His "undefeated" status is the only reason why people still take him serious, he doesn't wanna lose it.
@@jbrax425 he didn't change anybody's career gtfoh. The only person who's career changed was Santos and it was because he completely screwed his knee in his fight against Jon.
I love how in this game, most of the matches actually play out like real MMA fights. Fighters all seem to fight pretty much exactly how they fight IRL. In EA UFC 4., Damian Maia tried to stand up and bang with Adesanya lol like WTF.
I actually looked forward to using wrestlers and BJJ guys and taking the fight to the ground. In EA UFC, the ground game sucks so bad I just try to knock them out standing up so it doesn't go to the ground. THQ Yukes had such a good grasp on wrestling and grappling. EA UFC should try to make the ground game more like this
You weren't joking about reviving this game. I started playing it on my OG Xbox 360. While the striking lacks. man. they need to bring back this grappling. it's way too fun
One of the best things about the game was being able to feint and cancel strikes from any position. Even from plum clinch you could fake knees and catch the opponent trying to grab it. I used to love the clinch it was done so well in the undisputed series
A tutorial from you talking about the exact moments to counter or sweep, or flinch the sticks in the very exact moments during you playing would be awesome.
@@kylemack6494 yea lot of great games on ps2/ps3 that aren’t digitally available and aren’t backwards compatible. Glad I recently traded a pair of Jordan’s for both haha
As someone who loves ufc games and loves grappling I never played these ones but how has the grappling for so much worse since this it looks so much better and more enjoyable on this
Ultimate is the only way to play for me, you just have to play their game, feint transitions and strikes, press them against the cage, throw up multiple submissions from the bottom, etc
This game is still the GOAT. Ground game looks so fluid. How come in UFC 4 we can’t move the opponent where we want, like scooch them to the cage? Also this game was consistent in letting you land knees on takedown shots.
You know whats funny? I just came here after watching your video when u talk about that guy emailing you talking about the passion when u play undisputed and its the only time i ever really hear u swear and it was twice in the space of 5 seconds 😂

Is it just me or is the flicking to the left or to the right of the analogue stick to reverse, the singlemost difficult aspect of the game? I play in advanced mode..
ive never played this game but this system looks so much better than the new ufc games, if they kept this type of system and movement but updates stances and some little tweaks i feel it would be way better than the new shit
