In this video, I have explained how background verification and reference checks are conducted by the employer, while giving the employment.
Primarily, four checks are conducted:
1. Education
2. Employment
3. Address verification
4. Criminal Records
Basis on the nature of job, sometimes Medical and Phychometrics tests are also conducted by the employer. The offered employment is subject to the outcome of such checks. Hence, it is in the interest of the employees to disclose all information, which he believes to be correct and true.

सर जब मैने मेरी गव्हर्मेंट जॉब के लिए फॉर्म फील किया उस समय मेरी शादी नही हुई थी लेकिन अब जॉइनिंग के टाईम जब मैं Attenstation, declaration फॉर्म दिया हूं उस समय मेरी शादी हो चुकी थी लेकिन मैंने वहाँ अपने वाइफ का नाम यहा पर Add नहीं किया है । तो क्या कोई दिक्कत हो सकती है।

Sir i have shown my experience as 2 years but actually I have experience of 1.5 years, I have changed the date in relieving letter, don't know what was going at that time in my mind, but now all my details are under BGV, Sir please guide me what I should do.

It is advisable to speak to your HR and tell the truth and accept your mistake. No doubt, you will be subject to disciplinary action. However, it would purely depend upon your HR to take a lenient view, if such experience is not much relevant.

@@kohli2419 to which company u applied to,some companies BGV are not that sound, so dont worry nothing will happen but i must suggest u to never do these again in whole life. And in case they come to know every thing and want to take action against you, what more they can do is that, they may terminate you . No company has time to arrange to take legal action against you. So thats maximum company can do.

Hello sir, i selected by an IT company for the job role of assistant digital marketing manager. In the morning i have submitted the documents they ask for ( education documents, address proof, experience and reliving letter and pay slip ) but after sometime she ask for 3 month bank statement is it legal or authentic to send your bank statement with the company. Because i found this illegal and unprofessional. Please put some light on this matter. Thank you.

Some time bank statement is required by the company to cross verify the amount mentioned in the pay slip. You may share with them with request to keep the statement as private and confidential.

Even if you provide them bank statement, they need LOA of that bank with your sign on it otherwise they don't have rights to check ur bank statement.

Hi, what if i tell incorrect salary to the HR but If i mentioned the correct salary in BGV form, is there any chance the BGV people could pass the information about salary to the HR of employer?

Reason behind telling incorrect salary to HR is not understood to me. You are intending to give two different details in the same organization, but again it is to two different departments, which is incorrect and is not advisable. Be honest, while making such disclosures to avoid any potential issues !!!

Hi sir, Hope you are doing well. If someone wants to not disclose about his last employment of just 1 month, as it is not relivient so will their be an issue? Though he left that 1 month empoyment in a good note and have all reliving and experience document. But as it is not at all relivient , so he dont want to include it into his CV. WILL THAT BE AN PROBLEM?

Hi sir Maine 3 minths manufacturing company mein kam kiya tha waha mera pf cutting hota tha Uske bad 2 sal se mein IT company mein kam kr raha hoon Ab mein switch kr raha hu mnc service based mein to mere pass first company ka koi exp, offer, reliving letter nhi hai maine sirf bank details. Add kiye hai to iska bgv mein koi issue aa sakta hai kya Aur current company ka sab letters hai mere pass... Sirf first company ke bank details hai ... Please reply sir

My query is if reporting manager has made a spelling mistake in background verification form while providing name of past employee to new employer . As per experience letter, offer letter name spelling is different. Will the job offer be cancelled due to mistake in name spelling after scrutiny of the documents? Also on offer letter of a new company it is mentioned that if after scrutiny of documents any discrepancy found in details then job offer will be straight away cancelled. Reporting manager is reluctant to accept his mistake in name spelling. Will the job offer be lost in such case? Also should joining such a company be avoided if that company is in different city & possibility of job offer getting cancelled is there due to name spelling provided by old reporting manager not matching with the offer letter & experience letter ?

Please wait for the outcome from the employer. Before such cancellation they will ask you the discrepancy and should provide you fair opportunity. Merely spelling mistake is not enough, if other credentials are matches like employee code, etc.

@@thelegaleyes5050 Also I got my name spelling correction done in old company records by doing interaction with HR & Reporting Manager so that in future companies such issues won't happen. Most of the companies nowadays ask for references from at least past 2 - 3 companies. Good relationship with old company reporting manager is very very important.

yes. It is a part of BVG for which employee gives consent at the time of joining.

hi sir , during salary negotiation with hr i have told that along with current written ctc our bonus varies from 15 to 20 percent so approx salary could be in this range which is more than the written ctc , in the bgv form i have written details of exact writeen salary in ctc payslip , and i have proof on prrevius bonus , paylsips for proof which i have attached . will it cause any problem .

Hello sir, if I had a verbal fight/ego fight with my previous manager and joined another company with proper relieving letter from previous company can he still harm my reputation/defame me in the eyes of next employer during background/reference check? Relationship with manager is not good. Can I file a defamation case? Previous and next both companies are IT MNC's

it is always better to keep clean employment record. Think yourself, would you like to employ someone who has such records. What if, your employer gets this info. without your disclosures ?

If you have noticed some mistakes in the documents, it is always advisable to get it rectified it by the document issuing department/organisation and keep copies of all request letters for such rectification for future record purposes.These communication will help you in case any query raised by the organisation where such documents are submitted. Pl ensure to submit corrected record to your organisation, once these are corrected by the issuing organisation.

Hello sir, I was working under a freelancer on an informal assignment based work for practical experience only so it doesn't have any documentation. Pay was not fixed and it was in cash. For verification I can give contact of freelancer under whom I was working. Will it create any problem in MNC?

It would be difficult to justify, what you are saying. If you were depositing cash regularly and you can prove the source as well, then only you can refer this experience, else not.

Your manager may not be thinking the way you are. it is advisable to speak to him and tell him that he may get BGV about you. And make a request to him to support you in getting the new job. Lets try this. Good luck !!!

Since you qualify as per the required qualification, you may apply for the job without hiding your qualifications. I am not sure whether your higher qualification will debar you from applying for the job. However, please ensure and go through the terms and conditions mentioned in such job notifications carefully and follow the same.

Generally, documents supplied by the employees are verified from the previous employer. Though, as such there is rule in this regard and varies organisation to organisation.

Generally criminal offences wherein imprisonment was awarded or the matters related to moral turpitude are considered while checking background check for the employment. Again, it would depend upon the organisation' s policy in this regard and checks covered thereunder.

Though in the BGV, certain information is cross verified from the previous employer(s). If someone gives incorrect roles and responsibilities and not verified from the previous employer, then there would be a performance issues with the present employer, and the employee may be asked to leave the job. It is always advisable to write correct roles and responsibilities in the resume .

I have face problem but after sharing one and half year bank statement but now they demanded statement to be validated like by sharing my screen while I am online with my bank they will take screenshot for these statement for validation proof or either go with them to bank and last 1.6 year statement which including my personal transactions also should I validate my statements in bgc.My previous company already give good feedback about my work and package and behaviour.please guide

Pay slips are sufficient proof to submit to the new employer and if they want, they can cross check these slips from the previous employer. If your income is taxable, then form-16 can also be submitted. I am not sure the way query is written , the employer is asking in the same manner. It depends upon the company, what information they wish to verify. for example, salary certificate issued by the company, if they want, then have to check that aspect also.

It is a discretion of the employer. Generally, for medical test, employer prefer the test get done by their nominated doctors, who sends medical test reports directly to the employer.

Since, this is an eligibility criteria, you can not do anything at this point , unless TCS communicate to you otherwise. Please explore other options as well. You may get better options and i am sure you can do it. Don't worry. Wish you all the very best !!

BGV is not a standardized policy and varies company to company. You can submit your documents, if so required by the Company. If needed, you can also give your true explanation supporting the submitted documents.

Yes, employer acts on the basis of information furnished by the employee in his CV and the consent given for such verification as per appointment letter conditions.

Basically under BGV, there is cross verification of information and documents supplied by the candidate, which he confirms to be true.

Yes present employer may verify your last drawn salary by way of verification of pay slips and amount mentioned by you. So be honest, while sharing the details about your past employment.

Can employer file any police case or fraud case against candidate ? If they find any manipulated documents like bank statement & salary slip, Offer letter ??? Please reply urgently..

It depends upon the employer. However, it is very harsh punishment to file a police complaint. To max. a employer may terminate the employment and can recover the loss or damage suffered by it. Thanks for watching and subscribing the channel.

If the salary slip is issued by the employer, then it will not be an issue. ideally, all deductions are showed in the pay slips.

Non disclosure of correct fact is termed against the company policy. I am fail to understand why dont you want to reveal in your CV. Be honest with your employer.
