This month is my Swedish Death Cleaning month. Every year I take a month and revisit all my belongings and get rid of the stuff I’m not using. It really helps to keep the weekly and monthly cleaning manageable. I hope your help will make all cleaning manageable for this lady. The key is to just not get overwhelmed. You are an angel.

I have a question. Does the person know how to clean? Often people so badly traumatized don't know what to do in situations like this? I hope she is getting some therapy and working with a person who can teach them how to take care of themselves.

Thank you for helping her again, I hope she reads this. Those kittens and the black cat are all old enough to be fixed otherwise she will have even a bigger problem with cats that can have up to 8 or 9 kittens every four months. There are assistance programs for low income that will spay your cat Please heed this and anyone who reads this. There are millions of unwanted cute animals that are killed at humane societies every year in every state. Sad but true. Please everyone spay and neuter your pets

Thank you for being able to help her again. Recovery is a process and she is making progress. Glad you were able to come back to help her along. Please let her know that she needs 3 litter boxes 9I see 2 kittens) scooped at least once a day, so her furry babies don't develop bad habits. Clothes on the floor are very attractive "litter boxes" to most cats:-) You are an Angel and best of luck to your client!

If she does what Auriikatarina and Mack do, she's separating the dirty clothes into black bags so the owner knows they need cleaning. Unless a homeowner specifically says to get rid of certain clothes, all the YT cleaners just bag them for cleaning, they don't arbitrarily just toss them out.

My view will probably not be a popular one but here goes. As a behaviour therapist and as one who also suffers with depression I believe that this person desperately needs some behaviour modification techniques. The fact that you’ve cleaned her home before and the room in this new home became so dirty so quickly tells me that she is still very depressed. Most of the time self loathing expresses itself when you turn your home into a landfill. She most probably needs some kind of therapy. It’s unfortunate that mental health support is so expensive and so undervalued.

Yes, these are the spare spaces we all clean out then they pile up again. A dumping room. Then it's the last space that gets attention. We all must try to get a better system to take care of it before it builds up again and again and again. We are getting better at finding a place for things right away, or donate or throw away.

A tip for cat mom’s & dad’s: For a healthy and better smelling litter box, use pine pellets (also known as horse bedding at TSC stores) and/or cedar shavings. Found in most pet departments. Super absorbent and no perfumes/clumping chemicals that harm cats!! With love from Indiana. 😸
