@@alexm20112012 if you play on controller, enable vibration and your controller will vibrate if you're close to the treasure. also check eagle eye everywhere, the treasure will glow with yellow particles.
I’ve felt like that before lol, I usually just lobby hop at 1 location or nowadays mostly just check a location if in a small (solo/private) session or doing trader/moonshiner sell missions I find a few now too
No it’s because other people have found it. I had my friend and I took it and he couldn’t grab it since I took it. Maybe in both those servers you just go unlucky.

Monfrut1 this is true, the more maps you own the less frequent you’ll find them, I believe there’s 30 different locations of maps, once I reached 22-25 I found it extremely difficult to find more, after hunting the treasure of 10 of those maps I found them quite easily again, very good point ma dude 🤙🏼
@@tailsprowerfan2729 these are random events and work the same as all other random events in game bud like hideouts etc except the free cash and gold means less of a spawn rate these days thanks to R* there are a few things you can try to force spawn them but even then you need a little luck, things like solo/private sessions, doing trader or moonshiner sell missions near a location or if at a location and see another random event complete that then check location as only one random event can appear at any given time

I’ve seen other treasure maps on trees that only spawn at night, they’re lit with lanterns. Some of those locations the map takes you to have another map .. I’ve only encountered them twice and at night .. nice vid 👍🏻🤙🏻 Edit: PSA ... I play this on the 4 and since the game is broken, these might not spawn at all. I’ve tried the solo lobby glitches and get in momentarily, get kicked back to occupied lobby. Can’t lobby hop because of the infinite reload. Have tried app close and restart, didn’t help. Rockstar just needs to give this game the attention it desperately deserves and stop shitting on its community

timetorage hope you find some man, I’m certain that the random event and animal spawn bugs are affecting these maps, they seem more difficult to find now as opposed to when they started
this isn't exactly related to the video but i can't seem to find anything on this. i know looting maps off of corpses are already kinda rare but has anyone noticed they've been even harder to find lately? more specifically since the moonshine update. before that update i was finding maybe 3-4 maps a day if i really tried but now iv'e gained about 13 levels and haven't found a single one. so is there any kind of nerf/hotfix i'm not aware of? either way i'm dropping a like but i would greatly appreciate a response. i noticed homeboy does a good job responding to comments but just encase he doesn't see this and if others have been wondering the same thing drop a like on this comment so he sees it and we can get an answer.
Sup bro, it’s possible they nerfed the maps from looting etc with this update as they seem to have messed with the collectibles spawning, with treasure maps tho if you aren’t using them and just collecting them then the more you have, the less frequent you find them, even from the tree, looting, gang hideouts etc... there are 30 different treasure map locations and you can hold one of each location (totalling in 30 maps) in your satchel as well as others in your lockbox/PO. I found when I reached like 20 different maps it was extremely annoying to find more so I’d use some of them and then I’d find them more frequently again, so if you have been collecting them try using a bunch and you’ll maybe find that you come across more but like I said it is very possible R* nerfed the spawns too bro 🤙🏼
Ive noticed too treasure maps rare to find. Even n enemy hideouts. Crazy! Im not really fond of the moonshiners update at all! Not much money making for starters not to mention they have cut down on collectibles as well n treasure maps r rare to find. I hope that their next update on march 31st 2020 that they come up with something better. Disappointed right now.
I mean your still getting treasure maps every 5 levels u level up but it b nice for us to b able to find an abundance of them again. Money getting tighter on there n gold takes awhile to add up. Those treasure maps do help boost gold n put a decent amount of extra cash n ur pocket without any effort.

You can bud but these are random events just like hideouts and stander missions etc so they won’t always spawn, solo or private session helps spawn rates and so does doing trader or moonshiner sell missions near a location, as you don’t have those roles yet best with a solo session glitch (ps method on channel, same as gta mtu settings) also if at a location and see another random event such as hideouts on map complete that then check location as only one random event can appear at any given time
Melon Master hope you get some man, Rockstar has them spawning in random sessions and I think the bug which affects animal spawn and random event spawns is affecting these too, hopefully rockstar will tic that with tomorrow’s update and these become more frequent to find again
but i learned a trick on the map sellers, first buy the map then kill the guy and he will appear again atleast worked for me once, also only got to try it once

Tbh ma dude it did take a hella long time, I had to find the locations which was weeks alone lol, then record, edit, upload, but I’m glad I did it cause it’s helped so many.... few things about these and ways to try force spawn them.... they are random events just like hideouts etc so they don’t always spawn, things I’ve found that help them spawn is small, solo / private sessions, trader / moonshiner sell missions near a location, and if at a location and you see another random event on map complete that then check location as only one random event can appear at any given time

They’re random events so can be tricky to spawn but a few tips are…. Best way I find is in solo sessions and depending on which console you play it determines the method for that, also you can try doing sell missions like trader/moonshiner then ride past a location (they spawn more frequently this way but still no guarantee) and if you see any other random event on mini map complete it or ride away then return before checking location

Schmeppie's brother they’re just harder to find these days because of the way rockstar has made them spawn in random sessions and I also feel they are being affected by the bugs which stop random events and animals spawning, hopefully when this is fixed it will make them spawn more frequently like they were when they were first added

ProSkater 2006 because rockstar has made the map spawns in completely random sessions now, all locations you are still able to find the just less frequently and luck needed to find the right sessions, they don’t want the maps being exploited for loads of cash and gold

the maps spawn like random events.... in random sessions because rockstar dont want players exploiting them. the smaller lobbies, solo/private sessions will help them spawn in but there is no 100% guarantee that they will be there, still need some luck finding them, this is a location guide so players know of the maps and where to look if close by

Leon6603 I’d go to one location then pause/free roam and it should spawn in a new session close by the location you were just at.... PS4 lobby hop was perfect for this but heard that’s been patched but haven’t confirmed myself yet

Michael Mansel you can either check each location or stick to one location and switch lobbies until you get them spawning in, PS4 players have the luxury of the lobby hop glitch which makes that much quicker

cinnamon_gaming181 aws you get maps from ranking every 5 levels so like 10-15-20-25 or you can get it from a treasure hunter or loot a body from a gang hideout or ambush
Why do you say this, the first map that he picked up is literally a map that spawned, not one you get from leveling up five times and picking up at whichever town your closest to, it also isn't picked up from any dead bodies unless my eyes deceive me, that first one is a tree.
These all have different spawn cycles. The people saying these don’t work, these still work. Remember this game has been broken for some time now. Since the Naturalist update patch 1.23 I’ve seen the treasure hunters and I’ve seen these on the trees. This is an under appreciated video, one of the better content videos about this game. And no, these don’t all spawn at the same time. Good luck .. pro tip, if you’re not hard up for gold bars save your maps for a while, there’s plenty of time treasure pay outs almost double at certain times .. for instance if you have say 20 maps on you chances are you can make near 35 bars from those maps. Not all the time though

The maps are similar to random events that pop up during free roam and similar to legendary animals, in that they can spawn at any time in random sessions, I figured that out when we had the old lobby hop method on PS4, if stand at the one location and hop lobbies and fill up the satchel with maps in no time at all, they definitely appear more since the naturalist update and solo sessions can help them spawn in too, still not as quick as lobby hop but people can also switch lobbies (if you don’t mind loading times) and also come across them. Too many people try one or two locations and automatically think it doesn’t ‘work’ I appreciate you for your comment ma dude thanks again 🤜🏼🤛🏼
D M there is no spawn cycles with these, they just spawn randomly in random sessions like the random events do, seem to be spawning more since the last update tho which is a good thing 🤙🏼
Boca Bhoy what sort sessions do you they spawn in? Solo sessions? Sessions with under 15 people? And how are you able to find which session has which map without having to go through every location?
D M there’s no way of guaranteeing which session they’ll spawn or at what location unfortunately, solo sessions definitely help them spawn tho the way it helps random events and hideouts etc spawn in, you could always choose one location and switch lobbies beside it until you get lucky but with loading times that could take a long time as you still need the luck for it to spawn at that location
Treasure maps is how I got my wealth in game bro, suggest solo sessions nowadays for these to spawn more often, they can be brutal to spawn in populated sessions
Yeah both consoles ma dude, hope you find a bunch bro, on PS4 we can do the lobby hop glitch ad it’s easier/quicker to find them using that and one of the locations, on XB I’m not sure if you’d be as well to switch lobby at one location or travel through all locations until you find them spawn, I’d probably just switch lobby though 🤙🏼
That’s not the case bud, they’re just easier to see at night with the lantern lit up, they’re random events and nothing really triggers their spawn, similar to hideouts, random strangers etc, you can try force spawn them but that’s not always guaranteed either unfortunately

I have my moonshiner shack in tall trees and often find the map just next to it east of manzanita post while doing sell mission
I know of another treasure hunter location also in the Heartlands but this time on the western side. It's spawned several times for me so I'm for sure of it. I can show you if you'd like.
@@danho5645 It's just south of the "E" in the Heartlands and just west of where the nearest road from the east to west starts to curve back to the south.
The maps are random events bud they won’t spawn all the time and in populated sessions the can be more difficult to spawn of players have another event spawned in close by, solo sessions will help all random events spawn more frequently tho you could maybe try that
