I've come across this issue before and it doesnt just affect Egret eggs. It's still happening even after the summer '21 update. I've having the same issue right now with the Spoonbill egg spawn location on the east bank of the Kamasa River directly east of Mattock pond. Changing sessions hasnt fixed it. Throwing a dynamite stick up into the tree didnt fix it...The egg didnt even break. It's really annoying as it's the last egg I need to complete the collection. I play RDO solely on PC.
Sometimes it gets stuck on the stump too and you can't reach it lol. When this happens I ride away from it so it goes out of the minimap (extended map) and it resets it back into the nest so you can shoot it again and hope for more luck
Apparently, if you steal one of the large wagons, or own the large bounty wagon, you can park that up next to the tree and climb up to get it. Haven't tried it yet though but this bugs for me too.
Hello everyone, I'm on pc. I brought a bounty wagon near the tree ( its big enough ). And shoot at the nest with a varmint rifle from up. And it fell down. A random guy near me heard me complaining and after i got it he got the egg the same way. So i can guarantee it works this way.
I submitted a ticket about this and I got an automated message within 5 minutes closing the ticket with no resolution. Its game breaking and apparently this doesnt happen often on consoles just pc version
