Seems like rockstar fucked up TAA sharpening. I compared 2 screenshots , one late 2019 and one mid 2020, the difference is huge, even though the setting is the same.
@@rhatthecat It really messes up the tree leaves too. Looks like a watercolor painting. Blurry and smeared. I use 1.5x Res Scale and FXAA. Equal performance to 1.25x + 2x MSAA, and looks better to me, since I notice MSAA has TAA problems only not as bad.
distant trees and mountains are completely fucked especially with high TAA. reshade's finesharp filter makes arthur, his horse, and nearby grass look super crisp, but distant trees and mountains literally look like an oil painting because of how blurry they are. medium TAA helps a tiny bit but introduces a ton of ugly ghosting with just about everything
I’m having a issue I got a bran new hp omen I just installed red dead redemption 2 an the screen gets all pixelated with different colors only when If I hit the windows button or adjust the brightness of screen or volume but it doesn’t do it when I play GTA 5 pubg or battlefield 5 an battlefield 2042 they work great with no issues I’m guessing it’s a issue with red dead the laptop is literally bran new
@@abhirupkundu2778 I downloaded it from rockstar games website ram was ddr4 3200mhz 1660ti ryzen 74800h I now use a hp omen 16 3060 rtx an i7 12th gen it plays red dead 2 no issues
I have a issue that whenever i run or ride my horse in certain area’s like small hills if i look carefully there are these weird line below arthurs feet that look like glitchy textures and it gets on my nervers anyone got a fix ??
i had an old cracked version maybe from 2019 and the TAA alone was very good now on a new version it looks like shit but runs slightly better and fixes missing dialogue i will try one of these fixes , hoping 4g of vram are enough
@@ok-70707 PS4 looks just as blurry as PC, if not more so. You just can't notice the blur due to sitting farther away from the screen. I also think the game looks sharper at 30 FPS. If you want to reduce the blur, you can either increase the resolution scale, or use the mod "TAA blur fix" or "The Perfect TAA" depending on your preference. TAA blur fix has a lot more shimmering, but looks sharper, whereas The Perfect TAA has pretty much zero shimmering, but is blurrier.
oh shit is that why my game crashes. i messed with those settings in the middle of saint denis too. The game crashes before i can even ride out the city.
I have the similar problem, tho i have weaker GPU, but that doesn't change the fact that i was unable to change in game resolution to 2k after one update, the game on PC overall looks trash without some resolution scale. I have 60fps on some ultra, high and medium settings but the game doesn't look near that "high" as the settings are. Resolution scale uses more of GPU memory than usual Resolution so i don't know what's the point of disability to change regular one. And also it's not about the monitor since I have already been putting the game that way before that one update
@@surjay5633 yeah, even taa can take 10 frames because you need to put the resolution scale on 1x250 for a good detailled image, so msaa take same frame but better resolution and image ;) but i cant wait for dlss in this game
@@57didjo nah u can use taa quality slider and if needed use a reshade to clear everything with a 2 FPS loss. It’s what I do with my 1660. I know the 1660 is a mediocre to good card but my graphics card can handle cyberpunk well but not rdr2.
the best way to fix this is to set your resolution scale to 200% and the taa on medium(i have a full hd monitor). thats what gave me the clearest picture overall.
At 4k, you might as well just turn on TAA. The game's TAA was designed with 4k in mind, thus, even with TAA, it looks great at that resolution. You need TAA to have normal LOD transitions, transparencies, shadows, etc.
What about TAA high? It must be better than TAA medium right? And I noticed no performance impact b/w high and medium so why not use TAA high and 1.25 resscale?
I find it hilarious how almost everybody underestimates Charlie. She altered reality to make that musical, and the only other person who has been shown to have power similar to that was Alistor, the f***ing radio demon. Shes the princess of hell and heir to the throne, if she wasn't so nice she'd probably be the most feared being in hell
@@sparshbansal6624 Textures are ugly mostly in the firstperson, and characters clothes are kinda blocky around wrists That's kinda a tradeoff for great psychic engine, great lightning, grass density, ok space screen reflections. TLoU 2 has better models but also it doesn't use as much resources to render thing's on screen in the background, because game use small levels and psychic engine is pretty basic. Sadly open world games will probably always look a bit worse than games that are happening in small areas :/
Now you can do no Anti Aliasing and turn DLSS to Quality and it looks better and get better performance. I get 140fps in 1440p on my 3090 with everything else cranked. It looks just about what you'd get with all the AA(not the bad kind) but lots more frames.😂 Thanks Nvidia!
Damn, im a 2060 super at 1440 p averaging 65 fps with lighting, shadows, GI and some other less intensive settings on ultra and the rest on high. If I were you, id just deal with like a 50 fps drop and just turn on msaa and fxaa to get crystal clear quality.
