+Jonathan Almendarez Not really. Again, most of the force was wiped out in the gunfight with Dutch's gang. In addition, that small of a force would easily be handled by John. It was only when Ross brought overwhelming force and odds against John that he succeeded in killing the guy.
Haha you caught me.. I purposely took a slow route so I could loop back and not cut off the song. And I played that area so much I guess I memorised it.. A peaceful place before the end ;_;
It's interesting how in my first playthrough I accidentally took a similar route and had the music almost match up. It made the whole experience surreal.
+NoiceRoice Theses areas around blackwater are a mess between pumas and bears... That's just crazy, I'm not counting anymore the numbers of horse I lost here x)
Wow..anyone hear after playing Red Dead 2? This is some heavy stuff. Playing the game the first time around was great, but getting to know how it was before. Even more powerful
When RDR2 came out I never played RDR1, but once I finished the game with high honor, I bought a ps3 and RDR. Once I reached this scene, a buck rode alongside me. I was imagining it was Arthur’s spirit.
After I beat red dead 2, I bought ps now for a year just cause Red Dead 1 is on there. I'm still working my way thru it, a little at a time. Ive just been spoiled by the graphics and game play of rdr2 that its hard to go back
I cried so hard at this. I miss this. This wasn't just a game. This felt like my second life. My childhood dreams, everything I've ever wanted. Remembering this feeling I went into my closet and pulled at the old 360 and replayed Red Dead Redemption, just one more time. We only get one life, but this felt like I was living another. And just hearing that voice again, I was bursting into tears. A voice like my fathers.
Just after you've shot Dutch to finally put your dirty past to rest, sitting on your horse up on that snowy hill, tiny flakes blowing past, and it's just dead quiet... And you hear nothing but the wind, and just this deafening silence after all the talking and the running and the chasing, the bloodshed and the sarcasm and the money... And then this song starts playing. And you know this one thing for sure, and it's the truest thing you've ever known; you're gonna see your family again. Thank you, Rockstar, for making the most powerful gaming moment I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. ¤ ¤ ¤ OUTLAWS TO THE END ¤ ¤ ¤
CoD does have epic moments, though mostly in the older titles, like the original Modern Warfare. The nuke, Gaz's quick but impactful death. Then Soaps death in later games, etc.
0:21 - Dutch was right. Their time was past, after his death the law went after John, most likely the last real outlaw of the wild west and Jack avenged his father without any witnesses and propably after that he turned to pretty normal life.
I honestly don't think Jack returned to normal life. Ross's wife and brother and the agent in Blackwater all saw his face. Him shooting Ross makes Arthur's and John's sacrifice pointless.
It's funny how Rockstar is able to make much more emotional impact on us when they just simply add music as a background of the gameplay and nothing that special. And other big game studios tend to make big budget moments with lots of effects and shit to affect us as much as possible and the result is just super boring and generic. No game studio is even close to Rockstar Games.
it makes me really sad that gta is more popular and praised than this game, i mean gta is an amazing series and gta 5 is one of, if not the best in the series but... come on man, this game had some of the most emotionally powerful moments in video game history, mix that with the amazing gameplay, story and world and you have a masterpiece, the masterpiece in this case being red dead redemption
colinkhfan gta iv had some emotional moments and was a darker gta story than most but not as emotional as this. Gta v story was a shitty comedy about 3 misfit bank robbers :(.....but rdr2 is going to be amazing :)
GTA IV story is much much better and has better physics, GTA V was really short and the story was really meh. The only hype I had with the game was the rumored DLC for story but they ignored it because they kept milking the shitty GTA Online with their sharkcards, I hope it doesn't happen with Red Dead Online. But hey, RDR2 is a better game than GTA V so there's that.
Mildly Displeased Staravia this game is hugly popular it is popular in the entire world man search for it how can something like this game both be popular this game Have a huge impact in gaming industry as always rockstar always make games that are far superior to thier time this game till today 2020 contain on of the best graphics I ever seen if you played the game and roam the world you we'll see many things many details is just legendary this is a masterpiece of a high quality man
The game was popular at the time when it came out. It won Game Of The Year award. It is not popular now because it never received a PC port or a next gen console port. Unfortunately the game is stuck on PS3 and Xbox 360 forever (unless and until Rockstar decides to remake this game).
''Head home to see your family''....First time I played this (now my favoruite) game and saw this quest I fucking cried !! Best game ever man, can't wait for RDR 2
@@Commander_Rane here now after beating rdr2 like four times God its jst as great but its way sadder all I will say no spoiling shit jst it's way sadder and the soundtrack is jst if anything a lil more amazing!
After rdr2, these two games are trully art. Best moments in my life. It hit me right in the heart. The feelings that I have for the series i far more than love. Thank you rockstar, thank you.
The thoughts that must of ran through John's mind on that ride to Beecher's Hope. Seeing his former father figure, the man that taught him how to read and write and took him under his wing just die even after all what happened. He must of had thoughts about Arthur too.
I just simply got goosebumps on every of those important moments of the game where a song started. Those songs are so perfectly chosen for those situations, truly a masterpiece.
I know this sounds corny but this scene was so so beautiful and emotional the whole time you play the game up until this point your fighting and playing all these missions for John to get back to his family and then on the journey back you have this amazing song play about how all John wants to do is be with his family and he finally gets it this is one of the many reasons why this is my 2nd favorite game of all time.
I agree with everything. Like i absolutely loved last of us and other games like that, but RDR1 and 2 just really hit me more. Hands down my favorite game series’. Other then that i’d have to say Assasins Creed (2 up to Revelations)
This game has two of the most unbelievable moments in gaming. The ride in to Mexico, and this. When this hit me out of the blue at 3am, it was incredible. I was expecting moments like this in RDR2, and it never happened....
Wow you sure timed that arrival perfectly. I made a capture of my same experience of this song, different route. But it was so emotional. Especially with Dutch's ending. Not knowing their history at that time (we do now after RDR2) you just knew there was a LOT of history and you could feel how hard it was for John. Incredible story writing.
the first time i done this mission i cut trought the forest and, after a short ride in the woods the landscape open up into the great plains, with the sun about to set in the distance and a perfect timing solo (the one that start at 3.20) begins while still galoping home, it was glorious to say the least.
I still get emotional when I go back and play RDR1 and I get this part and the song starts up it's just such a good moment because of the journey you go on with John Marston and you come what seems to be the end of it and this great song plays after Dutch's death then it's triumphant and it just gives you or at me at least this triumphant feeling that's just I did it
Fuuuck. I just did the mission, just needed to see Abigail, had to go to work so I paused the game, came back, god damn power saving turned off the console, and now I can't trigger the song. I'm sad now. Such powerful moment with this song.
7 years ago I beat rdr1 and it was one hell of a ride playing as john , 1/2 years ago I beat rdr2 twice and it is really an emotion story playing as arthur, just like its predecessor , rockstar games is going down in my books as the best game developers in terms of a good story . I am currently replaying rdr1 beating it again to relive those awesome moments playing as john.
Quando vc sabe que ele esta indo para reencontrar sua familia, ensinar algumas coisas a seu filho, cuidar da casa por um tempo, isso se torna muito emocional.
When the mission is over and the music is playing you know you can still do other things, stranger missions, maybe hunt or just put off the game. But no, the music just obligates you to run at your family
No matter how great DRD2 is, RDR1 definitely had better main antagonist (Ross and what he represents). Maybe it's because the main antagonist in RDR2 is not the law or Pinkertons or Cornwall or Bronte, but some other important person.
The way they implemented music into these games still amazes me to this day. Compass in RDR1. Unshaken in RDR2. Of course some other musical bangers. But these 2. Damn. Perfect.
It's cool how R* makes a scene more impactful and effective by just adding music in the background. Other game companies put so many effect, filters, etc. Only to make it intersting for first time watchers but second time it will feel boring.
