Jake is a monster talent. Although I grew up with and love the old stuff, I’m so glad he’s not just phoning it in with mostly BATM and TUS material. I like the this new album and like that Jake’s still evolving and growing and finding new ways to express himself on guitar.
Crazy seeing him play that Gibson, which is actually the guitar he used in recording the song. I believe Chasing Ghosts. On all the songs he was able to replicate what he did on the recordings. Just bad ass. Could not of had a better seat in the house, if I was there. So bummed I miss this.
The close footage means that the recording only captures the on stage amps and monitors, not the main PA. I guess a lot of people don't get this when they record shows. This is pretty good, if you keep this in mind regarding what you're hearing.

Jake is a True Master at his Art as well a True Humble Man, who always gives 100% at Every Show in which he has been doing for the past 40 Years. And yet he still Kicks ASS All the Time on Stage and in the Guitar world ..He truly loves his Fans and his Music.. Jake is a Living Legend and Hopefully Soon, He Shall be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Jake Truly Deserves it.!! Long Live The Master. Mr. Jake E Lee...!!!!!
I saw Jake E. Lee on both Red Dragon Cartel tours in 2014 and 2019!!!! The first tour the band played a lot of Ozzy Osbourne songs (Jake E. Lee songs as far as I'm concerned)! The second tour they performed only one Ozzy song!!!! And I thought both performances I'd seen and witnessed were spectacular and awesome!!!! Jake E. Lee always amazes me as a lead guitar player!!!! I wasn't disappointed!!!! Also the band was top notch!!!! Plus this singer made some improvements to his voice!!!! Sings more in a bluesy style and less screaming, shouting and hollering!!!!😀😁😄😊🙂
Great to see this,....When Jake E Lee and company get back from Japan,...hopefully,...there will be more tour dates added . This is great stuff made the way music should be made,... total appreciation here for all the reasons he does things the way he does,...watch some of the interviews around on you-tube,..he is genuine, The One, The Only Jake E Lee. Listening along as I`m typing this,...WOW amazing tunes!,...and now I`m REALLY pissed I missed that New York date,...COME BACK!!
To me The Patina album from Red Dragon Cartel had more of a bluesier approach to the songs were as their debut album was more of a heavy metal and hard rock record!!!!! I like both albums!!!! I like how Jake still keeps me captivated !!!! I'm always wanting to see what he will do next!!!! He's kind of unpredictable!!!! He still maintains his style!!!! I like his style!!!! I think he's more focused on being a musician and artist and less concerned about monster chops and shredding guitar licks that he was known for in the 80s with Ozzy Osbourne!!!! Any one who is a fan of Jake E. Lee should check out the recordings he did with his other band (Badlands)!!!! Really good music!!!!!😁😀😁😄😊
The new album, for me, has given RDG really a new identity. The first album didn't seem like a band effort because of many singers and different styles of songs but the new album is a consistent, great rocking album with a unique style. And that's what I'd expect from Jake because he tries to please no one. With Badlands he did something unexpectable after Ozzy and now he does it again by releasing an album that's full of original rock songs. Or at least for me, the new album sounds like nothing I've ever heard :)
Second you there, man. The first album has a few bangers like Deceived and Feeder, but yeah, there was too many singers and players, and it didn't have cohesiveness at all. That made some of the songs sound like fillers. But this new album is really great! RDC is really finding its voice here. Hope they do another one with this line-up. And I don't know just how a hardcore Jake E. Lee -fan you are, but if you haven't heard it, you should definitely check out Jake's solo album A Fine Pink Mist from the 90's. Really cool stuff there. No vocals, drum machine and the guy just ripping.
Band sonds good but I think jake would be better served if he hired Dino Jelusick as a lead singer. Isaw him sing a couple badlands songs and it was like hearing Ray Gillan all over again. He has an amazing high regester voice.
Its like a blend of Nu Metal with the old school 80's and a fusion style vocals.If you pay attention the guitar stuff Jake is doing is pretty advanced.
It's not even plugged in. Maybe the Friedman was having a bad night. Power issues at the club buzzing the amp out, blew a tube, just didn't sound great in the room. Who knows. Maybe this was one of the first couple nights he had the friedman and hadn't really sound checked it. Later videos you can see him playing it.

Love watching and listening to Jake. But I must apologize in advance if you hate my coming comment, no disrespect intended but I still say Jake needs a better band. He needs a better singer with more punch and uniqueness. A better drummer and bassist that fills the space with presence. They are so flat and uninspiring with no WOW! factor. Jake is the only one I see and hear with WOW! Sorry, just feeling the best for Jake.
glahome1 bass player is former Lynch Mob and longtime Cal rock veteran..drummer is really good technically. Mix is bad. Vocalist is good on record but seems unfit...and half of them are still eating cigarettes. Musicianship a1 ..lifestyle..by todays standards.shite
Jake Lee is great. Think they could have found a better singer. He spends half the time on stage looking at the drummer. The beer belly vest look take it off in 30 to 45 days change diet lose the beers
Come on this is silly. No one cares about the new albums. Play 60% Ozzy stuff from BATM and TUS and Badlands stuff and do 4 or 5 new ones to justify the band. The whole project was doomed from day one, a player of Jake's ability needed to do a legitimate supergroup with a well known singer, bassist and drummer. He's surrounded himself by amateurs at best. Damn shame because Jake is a monster talent. Announcing a couple of months ago that he wasn't playing any Ozzy stuff live this time around just cut the already small number of people who give a fuck about Jake and would come see him by probably 75%.
@@thefonzkiss Well, I've played and recorded with members of GnR, Megadeth, and Alice Cooper's band and have 2 albums out so yeah, I know a thing or two about music.
