I think Zane is a bit cringey here.... the way he sometimes just.. tells Anthony who he is, what he feels instead of asking/exploring it. He is also a bit fanboyish and giggles, agrees with everything, gushes and tries to sneak in flattery everywhere. But worst of all... is his constant tries to impress Anthony with his secondrate, fratboy philosophies. He didn`t pull this of at all, and it was cringey the way he constantly smiles and laug at everything anthony says. Still, Anthony made it interesting, loved the stories about the album and John. And he was polite towards Zane, but i believe you could sense he was abit uncomfortable.

On the John playing guitar again portion...I can't remember where I read it but John has stated more than a couple of times in interviews that even when he's not writing a ton of music on the guitar, he's always playing. Apparently he never got away from playing along to music he loves. Seems like home base for him. He learned to jam along with a stereo as a kid, turned that into a skill, then high level craft, and clearly it eventually turned to art. At the root of it he's still just a dude with a guitar and a stack of albums

Obviously the big news on Unlimited Love is having Frusciante back, and it's fantastic. The band sounds complete again. But let's throw some love Anthony's way. It's one of his best performances - lyrically, melodically, vocally - on an RHCP album. He's really matured as a singer, writer and performer. A lot of musicians drop the ball as the years advance, but some get better and better. I think Kiedis falls into the latter category.

Yes and no. The last two albums were abysmal melodically. He's also struggled throughout his career keeping perfect tune live (and that may be a generous way of putting it), but hey I'm such a die hard RHCP fan that I don't care. I'm looking forward to a performance of a lifetime on their upcoming tour this year as he has seemed to have matured. His performance on Kimmel was immaculate.

not lyrically like he said , on other records he would think twice about putting some lyrics to a song and maybe changing it to something else later but on this every thought went in and stayed in the lyrics and he didnt think twice about it because there was too much of songs. And you can definetely hear it on the tracks but not in a good way

@@TomTomTom87 The guitar sounds so much better than Klinghoffer era. The harmonies between Frusciante's guitar & Flea's base are so cool in songs like: Here Ever After , It's Only Natural, Aquatic Mouth Dance, The Great Apes, She's A Lover. + they chemistry is back on stage. Check out their new Fonda Theater concert. The old & new songs blend together so well.

Will always love this man. My biggest inspiration of all time. Just found some bandmates. If I ever do get to a point where I can be a frontman for a band, and earn enough to do it full time. A large part of that will be down to the inspiration this man, and the rest of the band have given me since I was 10 🙌❤️

He built a house in the small town I grew up in on the far south coast of Australia and that's where he first tried surfing. He and fle put on a party all of us that worked on their place and after that party they put on another party for the local indigenous crew and they totally trashed the place. You still see fle in town every now, they both are really cool dude's

The Gold coast here in Australia is the same. After I was there for a couple of months, had joined Fever, after arriving there, not knowing anyone ( except 1 great friend who was touring a lot) I found it , clicky, snooby and yes, competitive. Then , I started bonding with the girls and meeting the real locals and I have to say, it was a place that I loved living. I was a block from the beach ( everyday ) , had some wonderful friends who I still love and think of fondly after 33 years. It was a place for artists of all sorts, sea babies, etc. I really found a lot of my passions , talents, creative interests , style and sense of self in those 3 years. 💖

i think is more about the band and the sense of what we started. Josh was a great guitar player for them but i think that was the wrong interview to talk about that. That was more deep emotional and based on the last album. They have more than 30 years of story as a band. He could have talked also about other great guys we all know, but it's ok. And josh is a great guy that had a HUGE and rare experience i think.

"I did not have the luxury of editing or censoring. Whatever came I had to make use of.... if it came to me, it's in the song...i made that choice not to censor, edit, care..." This hits really hard. I'm a long time chili peppers fan. Even got a tattoo on my body because of how much they mean to me. I've heard the album only once, but it pains me to say that this is, lyrically, the weakest album in a long time. I'm a huge fan of the abstract lyrics which is very noticeably missing here. But I'll keep listening with an open mind and hopefully come around. These are my boys and I love them.
