Well it's definitely up there. John's solos are freakin haunting. I get lost in the sound while listening to the track when i hear it by myself. Fuckin amazing this is in my life time. Thank you God.🤘
That end solo omg! he backs into a corner and just unleashes one of the most beautiful emotional solos I have ever heard. his transformation as a player is absolutely astounding
You should listen to some of his solo work, my favorites are The Empyrean and Shadows Collide with People. They came out around the mid 2000s, and his guitar work on this song actually reminds me a lot of those albums. This didn't come outta nowhere, he just brought more of himself to this latest album, in some ways, than any prior record with RHCP.
I knew it would be awesome with John back, but I didn’t think about the content. After worshiping John’s guitar videos since my kids were babys. Now we can almost watch it live is just incredible.
Being a US ticket holder I was glad they went to Europe first. I knew they would be working out the kinks on that leg. 34 days until Nashville. These boys are going to be on fire🔥!Praying for Everyone’s health and safety. Unlimited Love ❤️🌶
Still my absolute favorite song in live from the new album...Every second is an eargasm and the scenery...what a view!!! Just simply beautiful in every way. 🌶️💯🎸🥁🎤🤩🙏🏻💜
I was at the concert in Cologne. This song was absolutely amazing live. For me, John is a hero on the guitar. I love the chilled and groviy sound of this song. Live it was one of the many highlights of the show for me. I was so so celebrating John's return.
Would hope one day a soundboard of this comes out! That ending solo is awesome! Hope at least one live version of this tune (only played 3 times) gets out as an official release!
Noticed that too! Chad also lost a stick at the beginning and Anthony couldn't reach certain notes, or started singing when John was in the middle of a solo (oh yeah, that was also this song! Haha oh well, it's a new one) I guess only Flea was really flawless. Fun night whatsoever!
its crazy but, i think i only want them to play songs off the new album when i see them in 2 weeks. Its so good. There will be no disappointment either way
For example to hug a solid state is also an uplifting and outing of love /noticing for who someone is ....let us all be trying to get more in contact with each other, don't have to be best friends but smile, greet or someting....over the whole world, love sylvia...
If you dont mind me asking, out of all the gigs you've been to, which one had your favorite performance of The Heavy Wing? John's voice seems to be getting back to its old relentless and powerful self with each show it seems
Bro, are you going to all the stops? My boy and I are going to philly on 9/3. Plan on being right at your spot and would love to chat all about Frusciante!!!
I would be honored to do so, but I cannot go beyond the European dates. Anyway, if you want to chat about Frusciante (or about the band) feel free to add me on fb or ig: D
What would you say is the best concert you've been too? I notice you've been to all of them by the looks of it? I was at Manchester and loved every bit of it especially the intro and snow when everyone was singing along!
Manchester imho had the best intro jam (and I'm glad I recorded it). My favorite dates I think were London 2, Dublin and Barcelona. But I loved them all. ❤️
@@Gidan what about Firenze? I was there, they played good but didn't feel great energy. Kind of dead. Like they were in a hurry...just one song on the encore(utb was on the setlist but cancelled), short. It was in the context of a festival, maybe that's why..
@@limoncr5205 Festival dates had fewer songs, but in Belgium there was Your Song sung by John which made everything more magical. Moreover, the Firenze Rocks was, in my opinion, badly organized (high prices for drinks and annoying dust)
This song stood out for me the first time I heard it on my first listen of UL. It reminds me a lot of an RHCP slant on another epic CA band, the Eagles, One of these Nights. It has that same haunting beauty and killer solo that you can listen to over and over. They had a couple flubs here. John on the first chord of the second verse and AK missed the outro lyric "But she can't go home" at the end of the solo BUT I STILL FREAKIN LOVE IT. I hope they keep playing it throughout the tour. I'll be there in Miami and hope to hear it but if they don't I have FFF to thank for loading all these great vids. Thanks brother and hope you have the most high joy on the rest of your EU circuit!
What do you think of the stage design with the graphics on the screens? I ask this because they were designed by John’s wife. He married his long time girlfriend very recently.
I like some effects, but sometimes there is a little too much psychedelic stuff. As concerts are in stadiums, musicians should be shown more even to those who are far behind. (in my position I am lucky, but I put myself in the shoes of those who are less so)
@@Gidan I was thinking the same thing. Most of the videos (except for yours) are from farther back in the audience. The stage looks too massive and it’s hard to see the band 🙁
the concert was great, john came on with a big smile. sound was not soo good but hey.. the setlist was also perfect. anthony had a lot of wrong timings as you can see here after johns first solo. and that clapping from the audience before black summer was so annoying, that even john and flea stopped playing their impro part.. stop that rythmic clapping guys. its not volksmusik.
