To hear John behind Anthony’s vocals again is like a breath of fresh air. It’s like seeing your true love for the first time. Johns so fuckin talented and probably one of the best. Wish I could see these guys live with my mom.
@@saltpappy9821 uh-yea! Lol. I’ve seen somany younger first time RHCP fans. Fall in love with Josh and joshes vocals-Never having experienced the “real thing” #JohnFrusciante is the real thing
@@matguerra333 I liked Josh Vocals and I’ve been a fan of the rhcp for 21 years. Josh brought some great melodies to the table for this band that I really liked a lot, his vocals are amazing sounding to! Both John and Josh are really gifted musicians
I cried the first time hearing this. Not because I was sad but because this is the kind of sound I've missed since stadium arcadium and it fills me with pure joy listening to this.
Idk why, but this song made me cry immediately. I think its because im so desperate for any kind of love at all in my life. This band brings me so much joy. If it werent for you guys and a few other bands, i would have nothing at all.
I know the attention is on JF’s return…But flea’s bass work here is prolly the greatest ever recorded …like just the most amazing bass lines song after song after song …He sounds like a guitar here, just amazing bass playing
Why are these songs getting exponentially better every time I listen?! WHAT IS HAPPENING??? 6 th listen on most of the songs. I'm sure people have this album on loop right now.
Ive been aaying this since it released im in love with how progrevsivly the idea of the song comes and receals a new idea on a new listen this is definitely a good album
It's like John saw the direction they went with Josh and decided these boys needed to grow up, mature into themselves and release some adult contemporary music. It's phenomenal!
I thought I was the only one! I'm obsessed with the bass in this song, it's incredible!! Add the guitar and vocals and *chef's kiss*... masterpiece in my opinion. Automatically became one of my top 3 faves from them.
Then people argue about The gateway being better than Unlimited Love... Nothing matches the magic of Frusciante. This album sounds like classic RHCP, with a touch of fresh air.
I'm 16 years old and have been listening to RHCP for like a month. They are one of the few artists whose songs I can listen to all the time and I don't know why but I feel like I've known them for years. I am happy and excited about the new album. They have been making music for the past 4 decades without losing their authenticity and that says a lot about them.
Each and every member of this band, IMO, is the best at what they do. Anthony may not be the best singer of all time, but he is the best at what he does. The lyrics he writes, his delivery, the soul, funk & punk all mixed in there in his voice, all together with some poetic rap in it. No one can do that like Anthony, period. Each one of them, their own piece of magic, all coming together as perfection.
@@thewhispersir9113 John said it! Broken Record Podcast with Rick Rubin in conversation with John Frusciante and Anthony Kiedis (you can listen to this at 1:06:06)
There's only 2 guitar players that hits me hard on every solo: Gilmour and Frusciante. The feeling that those 2 have in their solos is just unique. I'm just so happy to see John back where he belongs and delivering this type of masteripiece already. Thanks John, we love you!
@@rogerpbsmusic The funny thing is, i've never seen John mentioned David as an influence. He always talk about Hendrix and other guys of Blues. Maybe this is why they have some similarity, Gilmour was also masterly influenced by ther Blues of the 50's.
same! Pink floyd was my favorite band growing up but once i discovered RHCP they took the take. I agree with the guy above me, always surprised me john never mention gilmour as an influence of his. Their styles provoke emotions in me no other guitarist ever has
Has a “By the Way” sound to it. Dig it. It was the first album I bought with my own money. That was 20 something years ago, have been a huge fan ever since. So happy I always had you guys around growing up man. One love!!
[Verse 1] She was a London girl, knew enough now to get herself alright He was a Southend boy, not enough smile, but he sure could fight She was a daddy’s girl, pride of all Brixton with dragon sight [Pre-Chorus] But she can’t go home tonight [Chorus] It’s only natural And lovers will show you how to break it down In spite of attraction, well It’s only natural And people will show you how to break it down In spite of your love, steady up [Verse 2] They were a perfect pair A clash of two beauties and the rash of vein Nobody knows just when lightning will strike But it always came [Pre-Chorus] And she can’t go home tonight No, she can’t go home tonight [Chorus] It’s only natural And lovers will show you how to break it down In spite of attraction, well It’s only natural And people will show you how to take it down In spite of your love, steady up
Wow! I forgot how beautiful Anthony and John sound together. Flea & Chad's beat is amazing. Add the mesmerizing sound of John's guitar with Anthony's voice and YES, they're back kicking it after these years! Now That's Love!
This song is literally the RHCP's essence, Antony's voice and John's vocals, the mythical flea slap technique and the rythms of Chad, I love you guys so much ❤️ Edit: I just heard the solo part and I'm crying about how is such a masterpiece 😭
My daughter and I are listening to this album together. This song here is our favorite so far. Haven’t heard the rest of the album yet but expecting great things:) Thank you RHCP!!
When I find my place and know exactly whicj comment I am replying to then I will reply back. Until then, it will be a work or two or maybe 🤔 one of those thingys I do not like having to come and look like I am clueless here. Actually, it pssssses me iff

This song literally gave me goosebumps....at the 2:46 mark....the interplay between John and Flea is like jazz and just gorgeous. What musicianship on display in this album! Just incredible.
This song is just beautiful, to me this is the absolute definition of the Chilli Peppers firing on all cylinders. In particular John's solos are so full of emotion and hit me every time I listen to this track.
One of their best songs. This whole album is a total blast. Critics can hate all they want. This song, white braids, let em cry, here ever after and a few others will be listened and loved for decades. In time, this whole album will be considered RHCP finest.
My first favorite song on this record for sure. The return of John’s sound both on guitar and vocals has brought me to tears and this was the first song to do it
This new/old stuff is absolutely incredible. So elegant, and refined, yet so familiar. These guys have grown with every album. If aliens ever show up, this should be presented as some of the best music our planet can produce.
With everything going on in the world right now, I can't thank you enough RHCP's for bringing some hope, joy and pleasure back into people's lives again... 👌
Unbelievable. Listened to them for most of my life and while most other bands split apart, passed away or faded off into nonsense music they got stronger than ever before!!
Only the RHCP can manage to seamlessly blend together funky slap bass grooves with an ethereal, dream-like soundscape of tragically beautiful guitar melodies and vocals. It's like driving down the California coast on a foggy gray early spring day. I can almost feel that cool pacific ocean spray and mist on my face and see the silhouettes of palm trees in the fog as they pass by. It's both beautiful and melancholic.
Went to a wedding this weekend and the live band performed this song while the couple walked away from the altar, such a memorable moment, i can't imagine for the couple the joy that it would be to listen to this song being performed live by the boys. Hopefully they will add it to the setlist here in Brazil in november!
This entire album gets better and better with every listen. I haven't stopped since it released. Initially I wasn't impressed outside of a couple tunes but now I can't get enough.
This one took my back to the early 2000's after the brutal 90's. The lament of everyone in the band getting clean, sad simple chords, well timed lyrics and specially placed words that evoke emotions. Yeah this song a bit more tame than others but it reminds you that it's ok to groove and be mellow.
When I was about 14 I was so lonely and albums like by the way and stadium arcadium really pulled me through. Now I'm 25 and doing much better but this album and this song especially hits me so hard for some reason. Makes me look back at my teenage self with a lot of affection. Unlimited love is the perfect title for this record.
Those early, scattered bass fragments... they drag you into Anthony's melody, and the drums, guitar serve merely as white lights on a very green Christmas tree
During the verses, it sounds like John has a delay effect on his guitar, but he stated in an interview its actually him using dynamics to make it sound loud loud loud soft soft softer softer. This is not the case during the solo, which uses delay but I just thought that was a really great touch to the verse.
