@CrazyPolishGuy1102 Yes, the crew are situated at specific points in the tank and if the vehicle is penetrated at the right areas, they will die. Not only can the crew be killed by armor piercing rounds but you can also damage the optics, engine, transmission, turret rotation mechanism, fuel tank, drive sprocket, treads and more. Keep in mind though that trying to do any damage to a tank or its crew with an anti tank rifle is difficult nonetheless.
@F4Wildcat ...and that's why Germans eventually mounted side skirts on them. But Russians kept using them till the end of the war, although with somewhat lowered efficiency.
@socue521 Probably not :) . The truth is, destroying tanks with an anti tank rifle is somewhat tricky and requires knowledge of tanks' weak points and what-not. Most people end up simply wasting off their rounds without destroying the tank. I'll post a tutorial on penetration areas soon enough after I make a test map to do it in (which I can get started on once the SDK is released xD).
@Sum1MustGetHurt I know right, so I whenever I notice that there is a tank on the map, Instead of me looking for that tank, Il let them look for me. And then while watching for him, I picked of a few man with the rifle, that thing is the bloody Barret of WWII.
I was playing on Bruschev with a team of about 4 AT rifle guys, and we were firing at a T-34 at the front and together we fired around 25 Shots yet it seemed to have no effect
@Briannalive no it wont PS3 cant handle any of this. if you have a good PC try Arma 2. its like this game, only more realistic and set in the modern era. bad thing is you wont see a full intense war like this though
I know, man. I was just making an exaggerated statement. It takes a lot of patience and skill... and then a guy just runs up with an AT grenade before you make the final shot. XD
