my main spring tool made from straightened 5 gallon bucket handle wire, pressed into drilled hardwood (4"toilet plunger handle end) equal length, tips ground U shaped to catch spring end, works great. just a tidbit for people who may need one to get into a Daisy plunger gun, you might have the parts to make a good one and its really simple.
Great explanation on clearing this jam. It goes to show that it is best to use new BBs. I am starting to like the Umarex BBs a lot. I just got in 3000 and will be getting more. Keep up the great work my friend.
yup, definitely liking Umarex/Hornady black diamonds over the Crosman black widows when it comes to BB's. harder to see in the loading view port than zinc or copper plated, oh well, they shoot nice. could change from batch to batch but the diamonds seem thicker anodized.
I want to be on a "bad politician firing squad" armed with nothing but! BB's at 350-400 fps would make a good day of it and why not? many of them hate real firearms an awful lot, it should make them happy!
Hi, D9FFI -- a friend put 10+ BBs straight down the muzzle. They don't shake out and they make no rattling noise when shaken. I cocked the gun one time and shot it into a cardboard box. It is shooting the compressed air (seemingly as normal), so it seems there is no blockage. But how can I get the BBs out! Thank you.
Dave, careful letting friends handle your guns. You would be SHOCKED how many busted 105s and Ryders I hear about this way. Try these 2 videos and DO check your loading ramp. He may have jammed it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wtRzsbyYysU.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rNXE7-fhelg.html
Hey, I was wondering if you would do a myth buster video. You and Libra7 are very good performance doctors. A guy tried telling me I was a horrible shot because he claimed he could get 50 shots in an inch circle - OFF HAND - at 12 meters. Now that I know you are a west coaster, an East Coast Rooster tried telling me that he could do that with a Ryder. Friends from that region told me that the mob history there creates these roosters that tell big whale stories and have jailhouse social skills. I would promote your video heavily. 499 shooters say they can roughly do that 12 meter accuracy, but it is IRRESPONSIBLE to say a STOCK Ryder can.
@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 I have a Caldwell lead sled that would allow for a very stabile platform and have shot my Red Ryder from it. No matter if you use the factory front sight or fiber optic sight, the factory sights do not have the ability to provide and optimal sight picture. They are course sights with minute of soda can accuracy. I also believe my Red Ryder shoot better or worse depending on the temperature and humidity. I will try to do something with a video but I think the other person is talking up their ability unless they have modified their Red Ryder to include an optic, 499 power plant spring and possibly doing some barrel shim work. I did hear one rumor that a guy had taken the feed ramp/abutment and grafted it on to a custom Lothar Walther barrel?
@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 he may also be wearing one of those competition shooting coats that looks like a straight jacket. I've have always been a good shot but if you are far enough away from the target to need a sight, it has to be fine enough, (small MOA), to not cover the target. We all know to set the target picture on top of slade sights but that is not optimal. A proper Peep sight or optic are best. Blade sights are for quick handling.
Warrior, I look forward to your look at that CLAIM. The ground rules: (1) NO MODS (2) OFF HAND ONLY (3) 50 shot string (4) 12 meters from front of barrel, roughly. Do your ammo of choice. Really explore it and BUST the claim I believe. I can't do that video because the rooster would just say I CAN'T DO IT. He can't do that with you. My best shooting, from basic rest, was 50 shots inside 1 1/2 circle. That is better than most using factory sights. Many told me they were grateful, with my tips and fiber upgrade, to get under 3 inch groups they were getting. Besides, this type of video is your area. I'm subbed so look forward to it popping up on my feed👍
No, it is a common mistake to try and take this gun apart. The 3 jams: BB breech jam (your jam if the trigger clicks, but the gun doesn't shoot). ABT jam - my newer videos with a zip tie or a pic make this easier Loading ramp jam - simple fix video Here is your video IF YOU didn't try shooting a badly re-used BB: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wtRzsbyYysU.htmlsi=mzwt_xMXpbyGecii
