Redcap is is a fully voice-acted & unique Skyrim follower mod with over 700 lines of dialogue including commentary on tons of quests/enemies/locations, an immersive and fleshed out backstory, new locations, many unique mechanics and features, expansions to existing Skyrim characters and lore, and a quest to return to the island of Solstheim to free a village of Rieklings from the clutches of a Dunmer slaver with ties to Redcap's past.
This is a short trailer for the mod page on NexusMods to show samples of the voice acting and dialogue, some (but not all) of the unique features of the mod, and a few other little peaks at the new locations and characters.

I am absolutely in love with redcap he’s such a great little companion! I absolutely love his introduction and when I was playing with him and xelzaz. I had already known some interactions but the confrontation between the two was genuinely such a great scene! I would die for redcap. Redcap is life redcap is love

Great mod!!!! I just picked up him and Xelzaz for the first time. Unfortunately I had well already killed Anise so I missed thst story but when I do my mage run-through next I'll get to see it. Excellent work!

Gave Redcap of all the Armor but The Redcaps Armor quest still remains stuck in my journal.

That's intentional as it is just a checklist, not an actual quest. I also plan to add more craftable armors in the future, so the list "completing" doesn't make sense.

I have the mod installed on the xbox but from what i can tell it does not look like he will attack enemies with his weapons. Not sure if its a bug or a problem with the load order.

Sounds like you have AFT installed. AFT is 100% incompatible with all custom framework followers, including Redcap, that's why it's listed as incompatible on every custom follower's mod page. If by some chance you don't have AFT, the only reason he wouldn't attack is if he doesn't have a bow/arrows in his inventory.

Then yep that's definitely the cause. AFT is also not a mod that can be safely removed mid-save, as its scripts get baked into any save it was ever present on. The only way to fix it is to uninstall AFT and then start a new playthrough where it was never installed.

Is Redcap a range user by chance ? No other reiklings are in my game

By a "range user" do you mean he uses ranged attacks? If so then yes (also there's a detailed description of his mechanics including combat-related stuff on the Nexus mod page) Most Rieklings in the vanilla game use ranged attacks, hence why they have specific animations & a unique ammunition (the Riekling throwing spears) to do so. There are some that use melee attacks as well including the mounted ones which are all melee, but most throw spears at range.

Surprised you didn't make him a goblin instead of a riekling. Though I guess rieklings are in the base game and goblins (depending on the source) are either mods or CC content.

Why would I have made him a Goblin? Being a Riekling is integral to his backstory, it's a big part of who he is.

It's on the mod page, he's in the basement of Anise's Cabin north of the Guardian Stones.

@@aPeasant Redcap's fine to install mid-playthrough! Also you can recruit him and progress his quest if you have already killed Anise, you just won't hear the scene between them like you would if she was alive :)
