Redeem Bastila with Female Revan 

Poor Bastila. She countinues to tell player what she had done and that you should kill her, but yet all she did was to become apprentice of Malak. Honestly we players of Darth Revan had commited crimes far worse.

Pfff, those dialogue choices at the beginning. "Revan, I knew you'd come for me." "I'm Princess now, Bastila. Revan is no more." I know that's your character's name, but it's still hilarious. xD

I faced the same difficulty by trying to redeem her as a male protagonist without using any love options. I had to reload a few times, but finally figuring out what to say to her and redeeming her platonically was one of the most triumphant moments of my playthrough.

Thank you for making this! As a light side female I found it hard to find the right way to convince Bastila to return to the light, because I really didn’t want to kill her, even if I found her annoying at times. After about 3-4 tries I realized I’d need to find some help to successfully convince her. Again, thank you.

1st try with me... but I had a ton of persuade and charisma so that might be why

I played as female Revan too and the first time I failed and had to fight her one last time, I couldn't bare the fact that she died in our last fight, so I reloaded my save from about 15 minutes before getting to this fight and retried a few times till I could finally get her to come back to the light and help out in destroying the Star Forge. She was just too much of a great and important character to me. I couldn't let her go lol. And honestly, the same goes for all of my other crew mates, especially Juhani, who I romanced as female Revan. Love the fact that Kotor was one of the first major games to have a gay romance option. Juhani's story was so tragic, and she was such an amazingly written character, imo.

That is odd. I used Persuade on my first playthough (I have always played female) and I did it. Your video is very helpful though because I did not know that you could turn her back without persuade. Thank you.

This is great! I tried several times and I always killed her. I felt awful when I killed her. This was such a great game.

All these years later, I just ran it through again. Female, hardest difficulty, 100% quest completion, dark side all the way other than saving all characters, and then turned to the light at the end. High charisma made my force abilities work out, I even was successful with persuading Bastila. Beat Malak with ease, took all the jedi for myself quickly and faced him straight up no items. Kind of underwhelming but my gear alone made it easy. Time to run Kotor II again?

mostly i don't use persuade option in the game...i use (Force Persuade) lol Maybe just me, but i feel Revan is suitable as woman than man...she fit the story line in the game...in Light side at the end fall in love with Carth and save Bastila, Juhani have crush on her...and she defeat Malak, everybody happy

Since it is more difficult to save Bastila with a female Revan, it's easy to see why most female personages take the Dark Side path. However, since I hate the Dark Side, which destroys everything it touches, I would have used a male Revan if I ever played this game.

Yes but the dialog is different. "I love you" and all that. When you kill Malak, Bastila joins you and Carth when you leave the star forge. Then she's at the celebration at the end.

um... juhani is a girl is lesbians were in the game, why not fall in love w/ bastila? ur both jedi and have a special bond. besides, she liked revan during the mandalorian wars too, if you talk to the chroniclar of the jedi academy

Funnily enough, I managed to redeem Bastila on my first try of my very first playthrough. Then, unfortunately, my save file got corrupted and when I reached that point again I made the mistake of choosing a different dialogue option at the very beginning, so I had to play around to figure out exactly what I did before.

That's where bane got that tradtion from. Reven and malak knew that even though there would massive in-fighting with large numbers of sith, they knew that in order to win, they needed numbers of dark- siders on their side.

I know I had an Xbox and a 360. I sold them both and went to PS3. I regret losing the Xbox but not the 360 with all of its hardware failures. I do want to get an Xbox again maybe from ebay.

I have finished this game like 5 times. Male and female, light and dark side with both, but i keep finding things i have never seen before... This game is SOOO BIG!!!

That's odd, really. What Bastila described was Darth Bane's Rule of Two. Even though in the game it was natural for apprentices to betray their masters for the title of Dark Lord, I didn't think it was tradition yet. I could be wrong, though.

Why hasn't anyone tried it on video yet, the dialogue where the player would start to get promoted, it sounds so funny that one would look forward to her reaction. 😃😃😃 XD But if that entity wants to know, then redeeming her alive was more natural than she even knows, she would probably do the same for us, maybe even without needing us to take action, after all it was confirmed that she sincerely believed that we could redeem ourselves, that that they believe she's terribly weak, she deserves to die, and they claim she's being consumed from the inside, so that gives Malak and Star Forge just one more reason to get spanked, so let the entity stop me convincing me that this means she deserves to die, that's probably the worst moral event Bastila has ever done, convincing me that Malak hurting her = that she deserves death, because it's not even mushrooms the proof is that Darth Malak is a psychopath, under whom the galaxy wouldn't be much better than under Palpatine or Vitiage and maybe even worse than any of them if he got his hands on real power, good for him , that the entity wanted to take over the galaxy in addition to learning from him and then take the title of master with the title of the galaxy, maybe the galaxy would respect and obey a milder entity on the galactic throne, after knowing such a tyrant as Darth Malak , I can imagine him making the galaxy a wreck that the galaxy wouldn't know what to do with it and a new galaxy could start building, that would be something like the psychopathy of Palpatine and the rage of Darth Vader in one person and one wouldn't mind at all if someone came up with a scenario for how this could play out. Just don't forget to tell Bastila that she's the height of emotional stunting, that she'd rather kill herself than say what she's so terribly sorry for. What is she so afraid of that the player will torment her for life? So let the entity tell me, if I come across as some kind of psychopath who would have judgment like, because Darth Malak is a psychopath, then Bastila deserves...? I hope that last sentence makes perfect sense to Bastille, it's not at all like saying, for example, because the landowner abused his dog, his bunnies deserve to be eaten. What??? I don't even know if the entity amused me with such a claim, or if it offended and angered me by claiming that I am something so terrible that death is better than the life I am contained in, name someone, what did I carve it with? One then has the feeling that he has done something that is a huge pity and it is worth crying and without knowing it. Darth Malak ended up on the list of sad deaths at the Star Forge after everyone else, because it would only be natural for him to carve his own death, even after he explicitly refused redemption, saying that destroying one's identity was no mercy and that it would he'd rather die, so for this the entity drove him insane and begged for my death, so I hope that in that case Valcorion didn't destroy his identity for him by subduing his mind and then letting the mad doctor alp torture Malak until the horrors he didn't screw up and become Darth Malak, that was fine for him, how to edit someone's identity, but what Bastila did to the player, she deserved to be driven to beg for his death for that, by that for the Star Forge to consume her alive, one would really swear that after this statement, Darth Malak has one more beating on top of him, good for him, this counts as an extra moral horizon for more, he would after the possible at the end, Redeem Malak caught an unexpected facon, as if one of them, if he could make decisions about him, told Bastila that he was supposed to heal his severed jaw until he was an adult, and he could invent an excuse for his psychopathic behavior, he would definitely regret it if he was no longer under by the influence of the dark side.

I'll be honest; I named my femRevan Meetra Surik. Yeah, the official name of the Exile in KOTOR 2. Why? Cause I like to pretend it's an alternate universe where Meetra was the one with the Revan title while the man who would be Revan would instead be the Exile. Now, with all that said... Using Princess as the name of your own Revan makes for some great laughs.

I did the playthrough as a man, and didn't feel like romancing her, yet the game assumes you would, even if you don't go for any of her romantic dialogue. And I even once was "light side" and still killed her as a man, and she ended up in the final cutscene!

My brothers told me I could only save her if I play as a male and romance her 😂 just finding out now I could’ve saved her

I mean it makes sense why you can’t say I love you to her. The game came out at a time where being gay was a bad thing. And they didn’t want it to hurt the sales. That’s my theory. And also it kinda has to fit in with the lore of Star Wars.

Well, it's a re-skin, which is kind of the same thing. ;) Technically, yes. That head IS in the game. Mine just has red hair and green eyes. :D

But i don't like dark Side ending for her, she is supposed to have more option, kill Carth, kill Bastila, kill both, persuade Carth...or just leave...it is frustrating ending when i play Dark Side...look like Basstila control her...hey "I" am supposed to be the Dark Lord right?

i tried to play as scout or scoundrel, but it is hard to survive on Taris, sure got knocked out by Vulkar gang, but as soldier i can wash them out...but for a price, low skill point and low persuasion ;-(

Hehe I finally took a risk and tried it out, it wasn't that hard at all. Except I wish I traveled before I talked to the guy, he said there were others who ran off and went mad, I wanted to find them, did you ever see anyone else?

Yea Female is a bit trickier. No love unless you use a Fem Revan and Bastila romance mod. Still....I learned the hard way that no persuade options and lucky I saved my game because, Bastila is like yea okay....then she's like a rabid dog. Geesh. Course the funniest bit for me was one of the mods apparently messed up my game with Bastila making her invulnerable. I had Bastila to no health and she still kept going after me I was like WTF and she killed me because I couldn't kill her. Gah!

i found a glitch in the mods that do that. if u download bastilas mod clothing/robes and revan's light/dark robes, try equipting bastilas robes and if ur light, u will be wearing dark robes :) and they come with a hood and mask :) note: u need the pc version

Hmm...the only time I couldn't turn Bastila was when a mod broke the gameplay and kept me from getting any dialogue during the battle. I found redeeming Juhani to be more difficult, tbh.

@RevanFailNhilusOwn, I wish you could have the black robes even if your light. And I wish the black robes came with the whole hood and mask, not just the armor.
