It’s not easy to peel back the layers and address these sorts of topics and issues. I may not agree with everything you all believe in and practice, but I wish nothing but blessings from God for your church. It is a truly beautiful ministry and the fruit speaks for itself. God bless you all and thank you for being bold and setting an example for others to follow.

The fact that there are 4 gospels in the bible, each one having their own perspective and insight, yet called and anointed by the same Lord, should help to give us pause when we hear a different perspective of what God is saying to the Church today.

I love Bethel. I find it sad that people take snips of video or audio of someone out of context or even someone not related to Bethel and twist it into a falsehood that people believe without bothering to listen to the entire thing in context or research who the person is. Not too long ago I heard a pastor in a sermon, a pastor of a church my friend goes to. He started to badmouth Bethel. It was such a turn off to me. He talked about a woman pastor at Bethel that had a wizard’s staff. Well just so happens I knew exactly what he was talking about and this was not a Bethel pastor, it was another pastor that was speaking there when Bethel convened a group of church leaders in California to talk about what was going on with the George Floyd stuff. And she was from another church. She had never been to Bethel before that. Yet this has gone viral around the Internet making think people think that Bethel is into some sort of sorcery. Anyways there were several other examples he used. So I decided to email this pastor and send him the entire video and evidence related to each thing he was talking about. This was several months ago. And my friend tells me he has not mentioned Bethel since. Bethel used to be one of his favorite places to pick on. Now I understand what President Trump has had to put up with. This has happened to him relentlessly for five years. Stuff is taken out of context and he is made out to be something he is not. But people refused to research any further. They see one meme and they believe it. I have always respected the Bethel pastors so much for not speaking badly about other pastors or people who slander them. They do what is biblical and wise. I don’t know how people can trash on this wonderful place.

Jesus warned not to go around trying to uproot the tares because it will inadvertently uproot the wheat. Now we have people ignoring Jesus, and going around as tare hunters deciding who the tares are and destroying the faith of the wheat. Perhaps the tares hunters are actually the tares, because the wheat follow Jesus. The mark of wheat is one thing: love.

When I was at a healing event Bill Johnsson was saying things like "I feel someone has a pain in a knee". Then a person would raise his or her arm if the description was true. However, Bill had come with a team of people, placed among the audience, and who were raising their hands all the time. The woman in front of me perhaps three to five times. No godly person could ever arrange that sort of a thing.
@dagman85
@dagman85 3 года назад
That's just not how it works. It's possible that someone who came with legitimately had problems mentioned in words of knowledge, but it isn't prearranged, and there isn't any deception going on with people claiming to have something they don't in order to lend credibility to the words of knowledge. They might be out of your normal experience, but they're very normal at Bethel, and they just don't have any reason to fake it. That isn't the type of people they are, and they have integrity.
@martinsvenberg
@martinsvenberg 3 года назад
@@dagman85 It was actually exactly how it worked. Disgusting. Utterly disgusting. It wasn't just this "lucky" woman in front of me. Once I discovered their method, I saw the other teammembers spread out evenly and who were doing the same thing. I know what they're after. They're trying to create "faith". But you can't expand the Kingdom with the help of Satan.
@dagman85
@dagman85 3 года назад
@@martinsvenberg - I understand that that might feel true to you, but I'm very confident that that isn't what was happening. That's just not the way that Bill (and any team he would ever bring with him) works. He is a man of integrity, and the people who would come ministering from Bethel are also people of integrity. So whatever you thought you saw happen, what you just discerned is not something that would ever happen through a legit Bethel team. That sort of deception is worse than a lack of faith in the room, and they all know that.
@martinsvenberg
@martinsvenberg 3 года назад
@@dagman85 On the contrary, Bill Johnson has all the reasons in the world to fake it. The more hands in the air, the bigger the "prophet" he is. You weren't there, I was, but I can't prove it. But I know what I saw. Jesus doesn't approve of these "healing rallies", because the Lord wants us to choose Him on the basis of truth, and truth alone. A miracle interfere with man's free will, and forces him or her to believe. This isn't Jesus' will.
@dagman85
@dagman85 3 года назад
@@martinsvenberg - it's clear from your comments that you don't have any sense of Bill's character or his values. I have a much better sense of them, so I'm confident that no matter what you think you saw, what you described is not what was actually happening. Integrity is far too important to Bill. The number of hands in the air has virtually no importance whatsoever to him. He just wants to be faithful to the call that God has put on his life. When he teaches students at Bethel's ministry school about testimonies, he always teaches that accuracy is the most important part of sharing that testimony. Regardless of whether or not the truth is flattering, the testimony needs to be shared accurately or it loses its power. That is what he teaches ministry students, behind closed doors. Whenever Bethel has senior staff meetings, the majority of the time at those meetings is spent sharing testimonies - real, accurate testimonies - of what God is doing. They don't have any value at all for hype. As for Jesus not approving of healing rallies because miracles take away people's free will and force them to believe, that is a ridiculous premise that is contradicted by all of Jesus' ministry on earth. His ministry was filled with miracles, and yet there were people who saw the miracle happened and dismissed it as the work of the devil. Jesus had no qualms about performing miracles in front of people, and He commanded His disciples to perform them, healing and delivering people, wherever they went. It's pretty much the opposite of what you said. Jesus actually told the Jews not to believe that He was who He said He was if He didn't do the works of His Father (a.k.a. miracles). Here is that quote: "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him." John 10:37‭-‬38 KJV Paul had this to say about it: "For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ." Dan was referring to his response to a speaker that came to the school of supernatural ministry, and mentioned something about Hell. He was referring to a speaker what his message was on he didn't go into detail. Bethel believes there is a hell and it completely separates from God and his presence . And they believe in salvation most be born again confess you sin and make Jesus Lord of your life and have a relationship with Jesus. So they absolutely believe there is hell and u most be born again to go to heaven. So whatever the speaker was going to share most have been not lining up to what the Bible says. Dan is extremely knowledgeable of the word of God and i am confident he addressed the man cause something was off.

I think there can be grounds for a distinction between "associating with" the NAR and "being associated with" the NAR. And while Bethel doesn't call itself part of that movement, they are clearly married into it by their own admission via the doctrines they discussed in this video, which is what the NAR is established in. They may not be openly aggressive with their presentation of things, but yes, if in no other way, they are at least by proxy part of the NAR. And this is quite an easy deduction to make, even for the average layman. So for Bill to say otherwise, he would have to be lying; unless he is ignorant of NAR doctrine or severely misunderstands it. I don't say this with any hate or malice either, but if we're going to be concerned about facts- then let's face it, Bethel is one of the key players in the movement via their own admitted doctrines. It goes deeper than "claiming a label".

@@reyburchill1423 Jesus held different positions than the sinners He associated with. That's the point my friend. Bethel isn't merely being chummy with people who believes different than themselves. They are ministry partners with people who teach and preach the exact same heretical doctrines they hold to. So even if they don't claim the NAR association themselves, they are in it because of what they do. Not everything is clear cut, I'll grant you that, but the NAR isn't an organization anyway, it's a title used for churches in a movement. It's not an official affiliate or anything, that's what has to be understood here.

@@reyburchill1423 and I'll say this, and I mean it with love and humility, that the doctrine and practices of Bethel Church violate scripture in many ways and the reason it seems otherwise is due to the popularity of the pastor's misguided interpretations.
