This band and Mighty Mighty Bosstones are by far my favorite Ska bands. The sudden rhythm changes from fast to slow, then incoming horn section with reggae styled rhythm guitar behind the horns makes it appealing to me and I'm not sure why. It just puts me in a good mood.

Penny boards aren't bad.. I don't have one don't care to.. but if you are just cruising it's a classic and great for transportation.. can get more speed and turn faster based on bigger wheels and short wheel base. Not everyone who skates has to take stairs and rails..

This is actually a really sad song when you pay attention to the lyrics. Especially the last verse: "Baby don't you sign that paper tonight she said but i cant work in fast food all my life" His girl basically tells him not to sign the contract because she knew the record company would ruin his passion for music and he could find another way to be successful but he dismisses what she says because he doesnt want to work at a dead end job his entire life (possibly because he loves his girl and wants to provide a good future for her which explains why he constantly mentions theyre gonna give him alot of money and has to reassure himself that everything will be alright)

I’ve been a huge fan of RBF for like 2 decades, and watching this now I realize I don’t think I’ve ever seen it! I kinda swore this song off for years bc it was their popular song, but I realized that was stupid when I got older, it’s just a damn good song. I’ll never understand how they didn’t have other hits, especially off cheer up.

The entire comment section is going to confuse all the people that didn’t see the Funhaus video. Then again, is there really anyone here for any reason _other than_ the Funhaus video? EDIT: Oh, wow. This band was referenced in a lot of things other than Funhaus.

@@imlikeheroin2 Improv comedy, gaming focused but not exclusively. They did a video called Band Manager where they dressed as various musicians, one of them being Aaron Barrett. The video quickly ended up with them ripping on him and ska in general. They're actually hilarious if it's your kind of comedy. Good dudes and dudettes.

omg. omg. omg. the feels, the nosatlgia. This song!!! From hearing this when I had first decided I wanted to be a pro drummer and I knew what they were saying but I had ABSOLUTELY NO idea how deep it is. Now that I've signed a major record deal, now that I have/continue to "pay my dues" now that I've been playing drums professionally for 12-13 years.... now. Now I get it. BIG UPS REEL BIG FISH!!!!! My older brother moved back in with my family from the Airforce back in the early summer, and since then I've been in his car a few times. I was introduced to many Ska bands, including Reel Big Fish. I really really enjoy hearing this band's music, and it's all thanks to my brother.
