Tony, you, Chris, and Christine have shared a remarkable number of adventurous expeditions through and to places of awe-inspiring beauty, thanks to your immensely capable, and equally striking "Venture". She's an expedition yacht who's trawler-inspired lines are as functional as they are graceful. I've enjoyed endless hours of your travels but perhaps no more satisfyingly so than when you took Venture through the Erie Canal and notably Lock 17 in Little Falls, my birthplace, and where I played as a small boy. Thank you for your exquisite productions.
I am so excited! I can’t believe you’re back! You have no idea the peace and comfort your videos bring. I pray you have had a wonderful peaceful cruise on the exquisite Venture. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do to share these amazing adventures with those of us who also appreciate the breathtaking beauty.
As an early adopter of RU-vid I have watched more hours of user generated content than I care to recall. Rarely does a channel give such a sense of wanderlust, awe, and contentment. I'll never own a yacht, Tony, but thankyou for opening a window onto your world. It's a true pleasure.
Tony that is amazing your old boat showed up. You could tell you liked her and she inspired you. To be in that condition had to make you feel proud. They kept it up beautifully. These videos will be watched for generations.
Hello Tony - SO G*L*A*D* to hear your soothing voice, and watch your magical video again!! As always, the incredibly majestic views of Alaska blow me away, and I'm SO envious of you and your friends . . being able to see all this first hand . . . and T*H*A*N*K*F*U*L* that you are willing to share this beauty with all of us!!! Bon Voyage . . again, and again!! 🥰😺😎
Fantastic, Tony. These videos are always a delight to watch. Amazing cinematography. As an amateur sailor myself with a small yacht, I really appreciate this joyous escapism. Thank you
God damn....this is the life I want to live. Tony, I'm sure you know how privileged you are, even as a successful yacht designer, to be able to visit these wonderous places from the luxury of your beautiful trawler yacht. This is my dream, but your reality. You have completely enthused me to cruising this incredible part of North America. It is now my eternal dream....I can only salute you whilst my heart is filled with the desire to do the same....
I think it is better watching on my computer that actually being there. Southeast Alaska is pretty, but that steady rain, while you are in a raincoat, isn't nearly as enjoyable as watching one of these videos while warm and dry.
I can't possibly thank you enough for this beautiful series. I sailed through and visited in 2018, many of the same places you captured so brilliantly in your videos. Watching them has provided me a trip through nostalgia. I have thoroughly enjoyed every second and truly appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos for all of our benefit. Thank you!
I would love to see an episode about Lions Den! That is a pretty unique GB. I found a shot of her with large head sail and gaff rigged main aloft at full hull speed, but that was all. The gardner diesel is another awesome feature. If possible, it would be great to know more.
Thanks again from a 78-year old former deckhand on purse seiner, M.V. "Pat" who can now remember once again the adventures he had for parts of 4 summers in the mid 60's.
Thank you so much for sharing more of your voyages on Venture! Your videos are my absolute favorite travelogue features and I look forward to each one. I wish you, your family, and your crew fair winds and following seas!
What a beautiful surprise to find one of your videos. Very well done. What an adventure your family and friends had this summer. I love the glaciers and have come to appreciate their beauty with your films. Although they are melting, they do feel alive.
Your photography and voice over are superb! You said the water was the color of jade. I always thought of it as Creme de Menthe. Either way, it is beautiful.
I just want to say "Thank You." I've read some comments, some with snarky, snide comments. But I say "Congratulations on founding and running a successful business." And thanks for taking all us along on your ventures around the world. But I do have a question as I've watched a number of your films. Are your adventures confined to the Northern Hemisphere of are there films of travels to warm, tropical locations like Rio de Janiero, Tahaiti or Australia? As the sailing expression goes, "May you always have fair winds and a following sea!" Cheers!!
Your sailing videos are amazing and inspiring. It give me emotional comfort and relief from stress and strain we have every day life. Thank you. I want to sail on a wonderful voyage like you did. By the way - your recent videos have too much red color. It does not look natural. Please reduce "Hue" & "Saturation" feature in your video editor software when editing video. Anyway - we love your sailing videos. Thank you. We feel good when watching your beautiful sailing journey videos.
Having watched all your videos, learning of your beautiful travels in Africa, your education and work experience/career, I’m wondering if you or when you ever understood how strong your abilities would be for producing National Geographic quality travelogues With professional level cinematography as well as exclamations and narration?
I thank and appreciate your suggestion with its implied compliment but I have now reached 88 years and I think I am best suited for retirement and continuing my hobbies
I really don't see that you have anything to apologise for. I started shooting movies in the 1970's on 16mm. I avoided the worst of amateur movies by reading books before I started. I have always been interested in the subjects of film and how they are made so tried to use those techniques in my own efforts. I don't see any point in doing something unless you do your best at it. I don't think that any of my videos are "terrific". When I judge them I just see things I feel I could have done better. But I certainly appreciate your description. Thanks. @@davidepperson2376
I was curious as to the hull design (''x configuration'') for high-seas comfort, if I found the right company, it appears they are or have shut down. Shame.
