The love for music this band has bleeds through every track on this album. I remember seeing them live in Milwaukee before Exist was even released and I remember waking up the next morning with the worst "bangover." No one can ever take those moments away. Thank you Reflections for helping me through tough times, for amazing music, and for always being so humble.
i somehow feel that the rawness of the production is intended/ it doesn't sound like this by accident. in a genre like this, it makes this record truly stand out. the playing is very technical, but the sound is very abrasive and not that polished opposed to other bands in that genre.
I don't see how anyone thinks the quality is shitty, it's just dirty metal, but this whole song is savage and the solos kill! My favorite part "is reality really realistic" *drop*
Our new material will show a much different side of Jakes vocals that none of you have heard. We wrote a lot of these songs almost two years ago and his voice has changed alot since then. Come out to a show and see for yourself ;) But thank you! We really appreciate the feedback
Wow. That's fucking awesome, guys. This is literally the second time I'm listening to you guys ever (and the advertisement hasn't even ended yet) and I must truly say with 100% faith and belief that you guys completely deserve that. Way to go, you guys have an incredibly massive sound, and I love how you're pushing the djent movement forward. You dudes have one of the sickest sounds all around. Every single one of you. You guys need to tour with The Contortionist, and I can't wait for tonight!
DAAAAAAYUM, GIRL!!!! This is legit. I love the vocals. They are like hardcore punk at some points and then metal screaming and its both done beautifully. Keep this sick shit coming fellas.
Aw, I wish there wasn't such a processed guitar tone, I know Vildhjarta use POD rack effects but they have a good tube sound that isn't as processed imho
I fucking love you guys, so amazing like seriously when I found out your guys music a couple months ago I was blown away. I listen to your album pretty much everyday, especially when Im walking, this shit jams and I cant wait for more releases. Thank you guys for making such awesome music, and you have officially made it to my top 5 favorite bands :)
i keep replaying this in the backround while i surf the 'net. i'm on spin #8 or so. i've NEVER played a song 8 times in a row. GrOuNdBrEaKiNg and brain baking... i love this
I think these vocals are very well done. I can't wait to hear the new material. Time changes everything and now i must again wait on time for the new stuff to arive.
Vocals are unique, love them. Having his own style makes this band even more one of a kind. Plus for all of you who dislike his vocals, he's using a new style and technique in the new album.
Polyrhythm is the simultaneous use of two or more conflicting rhythms, that are not readily perceived as deriving from one another, or as simple manifestations of the same meter.
thank you for this record lol, i honestly wish it was better quality, but its still so much better than other recent metal releases of better quality, honestly it gives it character. it might sound alot diff w/ better production quality who knows lol
icant even explain how metal sets me soul on fire! like theres no words when ihere shit like this...ifeel so inspired...bands that will rock your world(literaly 99.89% of there songs are unquestionably amazing) Reflections, POLYPHIA, In Flames, TRIVIUM!
Saw these guys on tour with within the ruins I declare war and some others. I thought these guys were by far the best. Never heard them before that. Gotta love finding new bands
guys i wouldnt change anything...vocals..the fucking highs and the screams are insane..love that shit...guitarist...well you know you guys are fucking awesome...keep up the good work!!!!
Fuck yeah you guys are amazing!! I am so excited & Ready to bring all my Energy to the show on Sunday July, 28th :) And yess I can't wait to get your guys Album!
Yes there are some "chug chug" bands on sumerian. But im talking about bands like BoO, The Faceless, Conducting from the Grave, Veil of Maya, Structures, After the Burial etc. All those bands have (or better HAD (just look what happened to After the Burial....)) nice guitar works. Those bands are the reason i love sumerian so much.
i would love to know hen you guys will be going on tour so i can plan to come see your show, i live in the southern oklahoma area but i go to dallas for most of my shows, any plans on playing around here soon?
No. it's because of the tone of the guitars. 2:43 also sounds like Meshuggah, who sound nothing like Maya or Osiris, but Meshuggah also use 7- (and now) 8-string guitars. Maya's second album sounds similar to Periphery because Misha Mansoor (Periphery's lead guitarist and producer) produced it, while still having their own sound because of different equipment. Just because it's all music from one genre, doesn't mean they have to, or do, sound similar.
