Rush Canadian Golden Ale featuring Geddy Lee & Alex Lifeson Produced by Rush & Allan Weinrib Music: Rush “Working Man” For latest updates visit rush.com #Rush #HendersonBrewingCo
The band was really smart about that. The thing that trips up most bands, and most endeavors in general, is the money. Too many times the songwriter gets far more than the other band members and might even own the band. With Rush they always split everything evenly three ways. With no money woes to fight over, they were able to stay on good terms and stay together.
My all time favorite is when the three of them go to eat. The waiter brings Alex his food and introduces it to him: Waiter: "Pork belly" Alex: "what'd you call me?"
Geddy and Alex...the perfect storm! Musicianship and humor...doesn't get any better than that. Thanks to you both for all the joy you've given me during my 53 years.
I'm 58 now and I'm grateful too for all the fantastic music Rush has made for me to enjoy from my High School times, when I was 15. Thanks, Geddy, Alex & Neil! Wish you all who read it merry Christmas and happy new year! Saludos desde Buenos Aires, Argentina.
@@dsfshshfhgsghs I too have listened to them since i was 15, I used to drive by alexs house now and then hoping he would drive out, his old house was way of the road in the woods. They are like musical 3 stooges, RIP Neal never to be forgotten always remberd.
I met you guys in the 80's, around Subdivisions. You literally saved me, in ways you have no idea. Now, on the ninth of Dec., my brother who introduced me to your music, died and my nephew, who went to be at his funeral, came down with Covid. Amidst all of this, I came upon postcards you sent me, and my girlfriend, when we met you at the Capital Centre in Largo, MD. back then. You have saved me, yet again, and I thank you for everything. For inspiring me in my darkest days, throughout my life, not to mention your amazing music. Merry Christmas...
These two could probably pull off a stand up comedy routine just by being themselves. Incredible musicians, beautiful relationships (including The Professor). The best band ever.
Do all of us miss these guys or what? I still can't believe Neil was robbed of his "golden years," considering his Dad just died this summer. Rush will live in on in all our hearts. RIP Neil Peart 1952-2020
I love these guys sense of humor. Neil had it too. Their videos caping on their own music is hilarious. But all fun aside. These guys are my idols. So much talent and views on the world. I wish there was more people here like them! The world would be a better place. RIP Neil Peart 🙏
You'd think Geddy would have learned by now not to take a drink when Alex is about to say something! 😂🍻 He's just going to end up wearing it!! Happy Rush Day!?
there is something like that out there, on one of the DVD's maybe, of a video they did where they all are drinking wine and joking around, think it goes on for a while too
So so lucky to have these three in our lives. Neil may have passed on but alex and geddy keep RUSH SPIRIT alive. Can't begin to imagine what it was like around these two when they were young . Unreal .
Rush did it right. Great musicians and great friends. My favorite band that I enjoyed seeing live over 25 times....peace and joy to Geddy and Alex....RIP Neil my drum hero/teacher
Rush was there keeping me upright whilst nursing my father through cancer, forever grateful, forever entwined in my life's journey. Working class men deserve an ice cold beer.
Cool to see that love going round. Tonight is 7 years since my mom passed of cancer. I was standing there holding her left hand, and was able to be around when I could before. True that working men deserve their ice cold beer. For me it became "work to drink", so I had to stop. April will be 11 years, and I'm still happy to see they're doing this. I won't have any, but it's more for everyone else!
After being slightly ridiculed by my Dad starting in Caress of Steel days for the long hair and the loud rock n roll, it was an pleasure and honor to show him Rush in Rio in about 2005 and YYZ crowd going nuts which he enjoyed immensely. Then in 2018 help him through throat cancer, and this year be able to sit together and watch his favorite marching band “Ohio State” (my Mother’s Alma matter, his wife of 57 years before she passed in 2012) perform a medley of RUSH songs to really bring it home. Pops was a jazz pianists and needed melody that much rock didn’t have. But he has since seen the light. RUSH is good!
@@latentsea That Ohio State performance is outstanding! I like that they arranged the band in the shape of Neil riding a motorcycle. But these days I help to keep to music of Rush alive by supporting Rush Tribute bands. Rush Tribute Project came to Detroit 2x this year and they were outstanding both times.
At 55 years old I still come back to one band consistently and constantly. Still part of my life sound track. Great humor. P.S. I wished had dryers too.😄
55 here…soon to add another year. I became a Rush appreciator around “Grace Under Pressure”. Finally saw them on Show of Hands, Presto, and Clockwork/Moving Pictures in Entirety. Not enough shows have I seen in my opinion. But I got to feel the energy of a RUSH show! The common cool vibe..no hostility, no crazy a-holes..just fans who have the same vibe as the band. It’s incredible!! I had only felt this way from Kings X shows. But Rush fans are pretty cosmopolitan, and intelligent. I just enjoy everything about Rush.
Wow, I thought I would never seen them again, "publicly" together, after Neil's passing. Jokes apart, it's is SO REFRESHING watching and hearing them again. Will miss their live performances... forever. :3
Lmao ... Alex is priceless man. "When Charlene and I have a big argument ... she throws a beer in my face. I like that, it's refreshing." I about choked on my water!
Probably one of the most endearing character traits an artist can exhibit is humility. These guys are comfortable enough in their own skin to act silly and have some fun. Well adjusted people. Oh, and they rock!
I have said for years, especially when Neil was alive, they could have had their own comedy show. The bits they created for their concerts were so fricken funny!
Yes sir...October 20th 1982, Nashville, Tennessee....I saw Rush for the first time and my life changed forever! I have genuine love for these guys as they've been in my life since I was 9 years old .
Yes! This! I haven't seen any in the States yet. I'd love some for the 4/20 Primus concert where they will do a tribute to Rush and play Farewell to Kings completely.
I watch your videos a lot, that would be really cool to see you watch a rush performance with their beer, but alas what the others said is true, Americans are confined to water-filled cans
LOL. THIS is THE ONLY COMMERICAL worth WATCHING anymore!!! It's HILARIOUS and their not even TRYING to SELL YOU anything, their just being their OWN WHACKY Selves by enjoying their OWN BRAND of RUSH-BEER!!! THAT My Friends............is TRUE SALESMANSHIP !!! BRAVO!!!
These 2 guys are just classic old school pals who've been Rockin' & Rollin' together since Elementary school. I have the SAME EXACT relationship with a few guys I've known since 2nd grade. We still talk n text weekly. And it's always some immature, childish "rip-session" as if we were in the lunchroom in Jr. High.😁
Alex Lifeson..one of the most underrated guitar players in Rock...and also a funny SOB... Miss Rush so much out on Tour.. Thanks for the decades of awesome memory's!!! Merry Xmas
He’s not underrated…what is with the obsession of calling every musician/singer underrated in recent years on the internet? It seems like it’s due to ad nauseam parroting.
@Vim Fuego I'd argue that he is simultaneously unfairly rated in both directions by self-appointed experts on topics they cannot even accurately define. Always competition. Interesting about his heritage, I had suspected as much but had never had verification. The movie about him as a teenager where he seems to have joined some kind of primitive kibbutz drops hints. Do you have sources?
Rush played my high school way way back in the day! Before the fame. You could tell they had what it takes.Even then.Great to see these guys having fun.RIP Neil.
Rush lyrics should be taught in schools around the world. Then the world would be a better place ... Neil's gift to the world (not to mention his world's-greatest-ever drumming) ...
HELLO ALEX, HELLO GETTY, I hope everything has got back to norm in your lifes. Thanks you guys for all that you both have given to us. What a wonderful and amazing run you guys had. Thank you. Best wishes and best of luck on the beer line.
Just a little help for you. I believe you would spell his name Geddy and if you really want to be formal, use Gary. Geddy is a nickname because of his moms heavy Slovak accent pronouncing Gary. Instant Rockstar name!
@@jayg.9473 Geddy actually legally changed his name from Gary to Geddy. And his mom’s accent was heavy because they were Jewish Pols and therefore the accent was heavy Yiddish!
I spent tens of thousands of dollars following the last several RUSH tours coast to coast. 105 shows total starting in 1982 at the Philadelphia Spectrum all the way to the last show in Inglewood. The rest of my money I wasted on food and shelter 😆
The best part of this whole clip is Alex nearly succeeding in causing Geddy to do a spit take…twice. Love you boys so much-please don’t ever change. 🙏🏻♥️
Always enjoy watching Geddy, who rarely comes up with many jokes himself in public seemingly, cracking up at Alex's jokes. Like, it's years and years and years and years of finding your good friend and pal hilarious. And it continues! :)
God I love these guys..I LOVE Rush so much. They have defined my youth. Man cranking up 2112, Power Windows, Hemispheres in my rickety car in my late teens and early 20s. Those were the beautiful simple days. No smartphones, no social media trash just tapes handed down or recommended from friends... Life was good!!! I love Rush and it is so nice to see both of them looking and sounding positive around each other. Miss NP so much!
These gentlemen…like most Canadians…can cross the border no problem. But they REMAINED Canadian unlike Beiber, Drake, Shatner, god only knows how many SNL comedians. I’m glad they are so patriotic & receive the same from city & country. It’s kept them from being disconnected from their roots. Which we all appreciate in their music.
Love these guys!Been a big fan since 1977.Saw them in 1978 in my home town of Nanaimo B.C.Lucky my best friend and I get along a lot like these guys and it makes life so great!
I absolutely love Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee's unreconstructed non PC approach to drinking which is both 'refreshing' but also, in their case, nothing new. At the end of the 2010 Rush film there's a lovely sequence just before the titles when Alex, Geddy and the sorely missed Neal Peart are all sitting around a table drinking wine. Lots of it. In fact all three of them were all fairly obviously four sheets to the wind but loving each other's company. Next time I see that sequence, I'll probably shed a tear. God love them for it.
I am so excited I can’t even speak……to see Geddy and Alex together again after ..well…..everything…I’m am overjoyed…and hoping to see this beer in the US …❤️🥰🙏
