THANK YOU! Two days ago our Maytag fridge died, and this is EXACTLY what I saw on the control panel. Blank until I pressed a button, then it lit up like a Christmas tree. A quick search on eBay, and 38 hours and $200 later, good as new. I can't even get a NEW fridge delivered that fast! Thank for taking the time to shoot and post this video. We all owe you a debt of gratitude.
Man this was incredibly helpful. Several power outages in our neighborhood over the last year apparently fried the motherboard on our Maytag fridge. I was able to replace it and reprogram the fridge in less than ten minutes thanks to your video. Super helpful!!
You know I was thinking of my kids as you mentioned your own. Because you saved me a LOT of time which will help me get more done, so I can devote my time to working towards seeing being with my kids. Idiots at Marconee parts did not send the instructions AND sent another broken igniter. Inept.
Thank you Sir! I didn't need the video to change the board but it was the only one that showed the programming code. It's sad that I have the owners manual and this basic instruction isn't included. People like you make life easier. Two thumbs up! Oh sorry I can only give you one.
Hey there, I enjoyed your video and the instructions were very clear! However, I am having trouble location my fridge's circuit board as it is not behind the kick plate on the bottom and there is no panel to remove on the back side of the fridge. Any ideas? I've been searching all over and cannot figure it out. All I find is how to remove the display panel but I need to access the main circuit board. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I only know about this one fridge that I worked ion. I'm sure there is an instruction manual for your fridge that is floating around online.
Great Video! Okay, I have a cooling problem on Maytag fridge. No cooling at all and the fans are working. The bottom fan in the back and the fan in the freezer next to the coils. The compressor is running and warm. The overload and replay capacitor connected to the compressor are good. There is no ice build-up on coils. The timer, thermostat, and heater are all working efficiently. What could be keeping my fridge from working? Freon? Something else?
Good evening, Sir. I have the same fridge but the ice maker is not producing ice. I can hear it turning, and there is ice in the tray but it won't dispense. As for the water dispenser, that works perfectly. That said, do you have a fix for the ice issue? Thanks in advance regardless of the answer.
The first step is to pull the ice dispenser tray out and give it a good cleaning. Make sure the filter in the fridge is fresh. If you can hear it making noise like the dispenser is moving I'd be curious to know if the screw in there is spinning and if the dispenser door is opening. When you reinstall the ice tray, make a mark on the long metal screw that moves the ice. Even though there is no ice yet, verify that the screw motor turns by; closing the refrigerator door, hitting the ice dispenser button, and then check inside to see that the metal screw is in a different position. You should also hear the ice dispenser door open and close during this process. If not, it might also need to be cleaned. There are instructions on how to clean this on the internet. If the refrigerator doesn't start working after a good clean and service, it might be time to call a professional to at-least troubleshoot for you.
I have the same fridge, my issue is that the freezer is working fine but the fridge is at 65 degrees, the controls are working fine as well. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot Sir.
When I plugged it in, the panel was not lit up and I couldn't put in a code. When plugged in it's completely black until I hit a button and it's all zeros. Same as before. I guess it's not the circuit board?
How can you tell which control panel it is? After unplugging the fridge to fix a clogged drainage pipe, I plugged it back in and mine appears to have the same problem as yours. But there is also a control panel on the door
I'm not sure. I only know about what I've had to fix so far. However, if the front panel works at all, I would suspect it's not the cause of the fridge not cooling.
I have the same issue, It was working fine, I unplugged it for few days and when plugged back it's not cooling anymore. Why would the circuit board go bad? It's still allowing to choo the temperature though but not cooling at all.
@@djrednitro4116 wish I could help. If I remember mine was more like a surge when I plugged it back in. After replacing this control panel from the video it solved my problem. Sounds like you might have a different issue but hopefully @burnoutsandrotorblades can help you like he did me
The light can be turned off by the panel, the ice maker can be turned off by moving the arm on the inside. The water can only be turned off by mechanically turning off the water, or locking the panel.
I ended up fixing it myself. I defrosted the coils behind the bottom freezer panel. That mixed with the new control board and its working perfectly :) saved myself a lottt of money
Don't buy one. They have a built in flaw. Bottom left corner, check all your wires will be cut from of all things, opening and closing the door. Who does this. Lol I can give you pics. They should be recalling but they don't fail till after the short warranty.
