@FunkyDevil909 yeah, you're spot on. She has some trouble narrating the process. Even so, I give props. This is a community of people that want to help budding producers, but you are absolutely right.
@FunkyDevil909 I understand your viewpoint. In response to your criticism of her definition of "groove", when she said that it was your own personal rhythm she was describing the "feel" you give to your music. "Groove" is not a technical term, it's more a musical feeling than anything else, so it is hard to define vocally. By all means, don't bother with my channel - my point was that you can learn something regardless of the production value of the video or the charisma of the host.
@mesaoneCCK I see what you're saying too, it's just that I watched a bunch of Reason tutorials on the reason website (given by James Bernard) and he was able to very clearly define both technical and musical aspects of reasons functionality vocally without any problems. Maybe he's more experienced than the lady here, but he's good, the way a teacher should be. I'm not concerned with her charisma, but her lack of clarity makes it hard to "learn" that something you're talking about. cheers
@mesaoneCCK What's terrible about it is that her explanations aren't clear for a beginner to understand... she says things like "a groove is a rhythm you create on your own, your own feeling" which lacks clarity for someone just learning to use this stuff. I'm not going to look at ur channel; just because tutorials there are terrible doesnt mean this one isnt. And I'm not saying it's easy to be filmed by a crew, because that's not the point i'm trying to make.
@FunkyDevil909 what's terrible about it? Yeah she seems a little uncomfortable on camera, but thats not the point, and being filmed by a crew is harder than you think. You learned something. You wanna see terrible tutorials, look at my channel.
