I'm forever grateful for these amazing videos that this instructor provide to RU-vid. Today I passed exam 🙌😌. Believe me I wasn't feeling well when I went to take the test. Butterflies in stomach. But I pulled through. To whomever is considering to take this course or the test. Please use the videos as guidance. You'll do great!!
Feb 19, 2024. I PASSED MY EXAM in NYC! the questions were somewhat difficult & mainly "common sense" but your videos definitely gave me a better understanding that helped me pass my exam! I did the self study route and studied for 4 weeks
I just started my Sterile Processing class this week. Watching this video really makes me feel good about taking the class. Great video with the BEST information.... GREAT JOB!
I cannot thank you enough for these videos. I watched them every other day and it really helped me towards my certification. You are such an amazing teacher.
I’m now studying online and what ever i read on my module after my class, I watch it here for better understanding and explanation. This helps a lot esp to distant learner like me. Hoping to finish the course and pass the exam this year. 😊🙏 Thank you for this Steve.
I passed my test thanks to you!!! Thanks so much Steve for the great content…I plan on using your excellent tips about interviewing for the position next! Thanks Again 🥰
Hi Steve:) I been watching your videos for months now and enjoy every class. I am taking my test this friday 8/17. This is my second time taking it. As far as the book goes , any advise on specific important chapters to read?
If he only had a small idea how much he is been helping me to understand and learn so much and how grateful I am, it would make him blush and I am a straight man 😆😂 Thank you so much for all this videos I can't thanks you enough
Hi Steve What book (edition) are you studying out of ? And since they recently changed the exam is it pretty much the same questions. I am online studying #5..Thanks!!!!!
Hey, steve your videos are really informative and helpful, I just want to let you know that I passed my exam and already got a job. Thank you and God bless!
Hey I’m going to take the test in about 2 weeks, people have told me to check this guy out but since the video is old, it might be outdated and wrong. Can you confirm that to this days it’s still very reliable?
Hello Steve your videos have been very helpful however I am my own worse enemy bc I took the IAHCSMM test Oct. 20th and failed I came home and wrote down all the questions I was unsure of one question I have been trouble finding in the books which is frustrating bc I remember my instructor telling a personal story over... the Question is What do you do if you know a pt. is HIV positive.. my answer was do nothing bc Standard Precaution should always be applied. Now I am not sure I got that question wrong but just wondered if you knew where that would be stated in the book I have looked in decon. chapter and the saftey chp. towards the end but could you please help **just if you know right off the top of your head** thanks
Hello Steve. I have an embarrassing question to ask. I am an immigrant in the U.S and more used to different units of measurement. I know it's a little stupid but since I'm a little math-phobic ...will i have to do mental math on the job to go from celcius to farenheit then from fluid ounces to mls etc. or is everything automated?
Hi Steve I have been studying for this exam ( your lecture videos are very helpful) ...I also took the class a year ago and recieved a certificate from our Instructor in CRCST, but now have to take Iachsmm CRCST exam...do you believe going through and reading every chapter in the book is helpful? or should I continue to focus on studying class lecture notes, quizs , tests , and workbook material?
Hello steve, I've been watching your videos and I have learned a lot from them. I would like to know where is it that you teach this class, is it at MGH? I am very interested in attending your class i am actually a mass general employee I noticed you mentioned MGH in one of your videos.

I appreciate all your videos!!! huge thank you. just have one question on the FDAs classifications (I have the 7th edition as well) and on page 85 the severity of the risks are in the reverse order, Class 1: High Risk, Class 2: Less Risk, and Class 3 Low risk. Now is this correct or are you explaining something completely different in this video? thanks again
Emelisa Griggs I appreciate you watching the videos :) I don't have the book in front of me at the moment but, class 3 is high risk and class one low risk. however, the reverse is true for the recalls, class 1 is high risk recall and class 3 is low risk recall.
awesome! I just came across it in the book and eventually learned the answer to my own question lol! ill be taking my certification test tomorrow morn and I'm quite nervous to say the least. I'm praying God allows me to retain and retrieve every piece of info I've been studying and watching thru your informative videos. I appreciate your quick reply!
I wish I could answer your question. With a a risk of sounding arrogant I'd say don't forget anything..... That's what they ask for on the test. Try to focus on understanding the basics of every chapter. Read the questions carefully and if you know the material and understand what they're asking, it is common sense. Good luck 👍
Absolutely, I don't understand the logic of not allowing IAP techs to wear gloves especially in the face of examining poorly decontaminated cannulated instruments or any instrument for that matter. For the safety and well-being of my people I always encouraged them to wear gloves. There is no prohibition from AAMI.
@@BostonCareerInstitute If they are going through a washer ( GETINGE washers we us here in the Uk) do you consider the instruments to be partially contaminated?
@@shutterreleasephotography2502 they're technically going through thermal disinfection, the brand name is not consequential, and upon release they should be disinfected which means safe to handle with bare hands. However, and this is very important, if the manual cleaning was deficient, thermal disinfection is incomplete and the instruments are contaminated!!
Your videos are very helpful. I just wanna know if i review your video will it help me pass the certification, i am currently working in a hosptial but not in this department, but its a department i want to apply for a job.
kidxstacy Thank you for watching. Videos alone, while very helpful are not enough to pass. If you are able to study on your own, you should watch the videos and purchase the iahcsmm, crcst 8th edition book and workbook set from their website. That may work of you are motivated and organized. I'd also suggest stopping by the department and ask to meet the manager, see if they could use you in the department before you are certified. Good luck and stay in touch.
Yes i will buy the book also to help me study the exam. I will keep in touch when i get a chance to talk to our SPD manager i think its best to get a hands on training also.
kidxstacy you can get the hands on part done when you get a job. Go meet the manager see if s/he can hook you up now. That will be of great help once you get your provisional certificate.
Hey I have state exam next week which chapter should I focuse on? Some people said only instrument some said only low and high temperature I am really confused I need help
